[q] update aurora roms by dzo

Hello guys,im just e newbie with android development so i needed some help on how to update my u8800,it has now aurora_3.0_beta2 4.0.4 and kernel 3.0.8!
Now,i see that there is a 3.1 version and a few updates, ( http://code.google.com/p/ics-aurora/downloads/list )
do i need to install version 3.1 and then update it with all updates one by one??or just update my 3.0beta2 with the latest 3.1update5.zip??
should i do a backup before update my phone?what program/APP would you recommend me to make a backup?
please state any other steps that are missing here,is there is any!

u just wipe cache and dalvik after that flash 3.1 and then flash 3.1 update 5
remember just 2 wipe (wipe cache partition and in advance /wipe dalvik )
if u wipe data/ factory reset then u lose all contact sms call log and all application

1) This is a question so it should be at the Q/A thread.
2) Between updates of the same ROM (ex. to go from 3.0 to 3.1) you don't need to wipe data (only wipe cache and dalvik cache) so you don't have to backup any app. All your data would be untouched.
3) Download the 3.1 from google (the big one, about 130 MB) and the 3.1_update5 and store them to your sdcard (external or internal).
4) Reboot to recovery and if you want, do a backup (in order to be absolutely safe and capable of restoring your phone at the current state)
5) wipe cache and dalvik cache and then flash 3.1 first and then the update5
6) Reboot and be patient for the first reboot.

[Help] CWM Error while restore data

Help i make a backup on CWM and install de Stock Rom in my L7, but when i tried to restore my backup, the CWM shows this:
"Error while restoring /data!"
Also i tried to install CM10 again from zero but never start, it always stays on the Bootlogo screen.
What can i do to restore my data? Just works the stock rom, but it sucks.
My device:
LG Optimus L7 p708
CWM 6.0.2.8

You can't restored data because you propably wiped data/media sdcard.

[Q] LG Optimus L7 P705 Wont Boot

hello, i have a lg optimus l7 p705 i rooted it and installed cwm and unlocked my bootloader when it restarted it self every ten minutes. so i decided to flash the stock kdz. after i did that it got me in a bootloop and any kdz I use doesn't work it just keeps me at the lg screen. Can someone assist me?

Yes,try hard reset.You find informations on google.

Go into recovery mode and wipe data,wipe cache,and wipe dalvik-cache

• Install zip from SD Card > First install: Stock_v10k_Rooted.zip > Yes, Next the WIFI Fix, and then Keyboard.
• Wipe data / factory Reset, Wipe Cache, ADVANCED > Wipe Dalvik Cache

I have the same damn problem, its just stuck at the LG screen no matter what i do.
I have CWM and phone is rooted, i tried every possible thing said here but no luck . I have donwloaded the 10K_rooted as well , wipe everything but still gettin stuck at the LG screen when rebooting . my phone is just stucked there. Is there any other way folks? thanks!

LG e610 won't pass over bootloader

Ok guys i REALLY need help. I have an LG e610 v20d and i install the 20d+root + cwm.kdz with KDZ_FW_UPD 4 months ago.
Everything fine until this morning when my LG make an automatic update to v20g which was 23 mb then it reboot and shows me this.
"ClockworkMod Recovery v6.0.2.8
- reboot system now
-install zip from sdcard
-install zip from sideload
-wiper data/factory reset
-wipe cache partition
-backup and restore
-mounts and storage
-advanced"
Now if i trie to install the stock firmware which is the v20d with KDZ FW Update it says me that the phone was not found even if i install all the drivers..

Flash stock with kdz and. Try again. When you flash cm11
Wipe data
Wipe cache
Mount system
Format system
Wipe dalvik cache
Flash CM11
Wipe cache again
Wipe dalvik cache
Flash gapps
Wipe cache again
Wipe dalvik cache again
Reboot
If you don't have signal flash. v20 baseband.
Thats it
DON'T SKIP ANY STEP.
