[Help] CWM Error while restore data - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Help i make a backup on CWM and install de Stock Rom in my L7, but when i tried to restore my backup, the CWM shows this:
"Error while restoring /data!"
Also i tried to install CM10 again from zero but never start, it always stays on the Bootlogo screen.
What can i do to restore my data? Just works the stock rom, but it sucks.
My device:
LG Optimus L7 p708
CWM 6.0.2.8

You can't restored data because you propably wiped data/media sdcard.

TWRP Restore Failed, Stuck on Samsung Logo

My I337 is stuck on the samsung logo. I was running PAC-Man ROM, and attempted to go back to AOKP using Nandroid restore, and now it won't boot up.
I wiped Data/Cache/D. Cache/System, then tried to flash AOKP, but this did not work. When I attempt to restore using nandroid it says "Restoring Data..." then it stops and says "Restore Complete Failed".
Is there any method to get back to stock using TWRP, I have a Stock Nandroid backup, but it won't restore.

If you can't get back into TWRP through normal process, sounds like you will have to go into download mode and Odin it using a stock ROM.

Did you make sure to 'factory reset' in TWRP before flashing or restoring?
You could try putting another ROM on your microSD card, boot to TWRP, factory reset, flash the new ROM, wipe dalvik/cache and reboot.
You remembered to flash lokidoki when required?
I was about to ODIN to get back to stock, but I wiped /data and /system on TWRP then REBOOTED (I didn't to that last time and the restore failed because it couldn't access /data). Then I restored to stock using nandroid successfully.
I will try to flash AOKP and see if it works..
Thanks
yeah thats the ticket.
For future reference, in twrp you can dl a rom into your pc and mount your sd card while in your phone in twrp and push the file to it. It has saved my butt a cpl of times after trying to do a restore that I had moved to the external sd card.
Hope this helps for future issues.

Nandroid won't restore

I made a nandroid backup of the stock rom I was using. I backed up everything, data, system, etc. I installed a new rom and then rebooted and installed a kernel. The device got stuck on the boot logo. So I factory wiped and tried to restore my backup. No luck. So I did a full wipe and the tried to restore. Still no luck. Stuck at logo. Then I tried to install the rom again, and that worked (no kernel this time)
Why didn't my nandroid restore? What did I do wrong?

[Q] TWRP User Data Wont restore

Hi,
I have TWRP backup from which i can easily restore System and Boot but Data fails to restore.
I have tried Titanium Backup, nandroid manager as well, still nothing. I am on twrp 2.6.3.3 recovery and it says failed, doesnt show any error on the terminal.
I made the backup using 2.6.3.0 multiboot recovery.
Please help, i have some very important apps and data on there :crying:

[SOLVED] Cannot restore recovery after warranty

Phase 1: SEA LG G2 + stock 4.2.2 unrooted.
Phase 2: SEA LG G2 + stock 4.4.2 unrooted.
Phase 3: SEA LG G2+ stock 4.4.2 + rooted (iroot25)
Phase 4: SEA LG G2 + stock 4.4.2 + rooted + TWRP 2.7.0 (AutoRec) + XPosed + Viper4Android + Xdabbeb 3.1.0.
Display damaged: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=53170464
Phase 5: nandroid + restore stock 4.2.2 unrooted
Phase 6: sent to warranty , display changed, still stock 4.2.2 unrooted.
Phase 7: iroot25 + autorec (TWRP 2.7.0)
phase 8: trying to restore nandroid on phase 5. Restored ok but loop boot.
It could be because of new display? Or should I restore backup over stock 4.4.2?
Logcat attached.
Any idea?
Thanks in advance...
I would advise you first to install some rom (try the same you had earlier), or any other rom(stock based)
Then in twrp wipe all but internal, leave the internal. Then restore the backup (don't tick EFS..)
now I'm on Pardus HD RoM Classic 7.2 (D80220d), but I'll try your suggestion and i'll be back with the result.
Thanks.
Funny stuff... before wiping and restoring as you told me, I tried to backup current Pardus stock, but it fails at 40% of system backing up....
weird...
Try backing up on the usb otg. Then restore the previous backup without efs..

sorry for being a n00b, but how can I do that?!
TIA.
If you've got the usb otg cable, simply connect the usb flash drive(usb flash) to it and choose the usb otg after pressing backup. Why don't you simply try wiping, then restoring? Maybe you like the current system too much . If so, then you might consider if you need the old one.

yes, indeed it is a great rom!
But I have some stuff saved in that nandroid and I kind of need to restore it
btw, all i can restore from the backup are : system, data and boot. No efs, no other partitions.. what do you think ? can I continue with restoring after wiping dalvik, system, data and cache, leaving internal storage?
Try. That's fine. You could also try installing similiar or same rom as you did first time, then restore data only..

restoring in progress....
after restoring, should I just reboot or do I need to wipe something else? I guess that first option, but it's my first boot loop so maybe I did something wrong..

your problem is solved. iam also face this problem 2 months ago
you made backup in CTR recovery
CWM recovery can't restore CTR recovery backup
flash kitkat stock rom & flash CTR recovery in SPflashtool
then restore your old rom from CTR recovery
your IMEI also recovers, your all data in that backup also recovers in this step
Thank you very much ....yesterday...I flashed stock kitkat with sp flash tool
My phone is now working fine
