Wake Lag Fix For Official 4.3 - Galaxy S III General

Everyone who has tried the 4.3 update will know that it has serious deep sleep and choppy music playback issues. This is due to the default kernel shipping with the first few batches of 4.3 firmwares not being up to the task. Recently Samsung released the 4.3 update for china with a higher change list, although the kernel build number has not been changed it seems to handle 4.3 better. If you are currently running the 4.3 update and want to stay unrooted heres a fix:
1) Download the Chinese KERNAL file ONLY (Green box) here: samsung-updates(Dot)com/details/15803/Galaxy_S_3_International/GT-I9300/CHN/I9300ZCUBMK2
(change (Dot) with an actual . )
2) Run your phone in odin mode.
3) Flash the .tar file with odin.
4) Reboot. Done.
This so far to my testing has fixed the music and wake lag issue, i have not had enough time to test the battery however.
Note: This will INCREASE the odin counter.

Flash Custom Kernel for better handling.

Thanks man, it seems to be working on my end, needs further testing though.

Not working with Chinese Kernel
I tried the Chinese kernel and it is not working.
Seems there is a solution developed for Note 2. Can someone check the below link and modify android.policy.jar for S3 on 4.3 please.
[GUIDE] Eliminate Screen Wake Lag

Thanks.

Custom kernels do fix most 4.3 problems. But Wow really, Samsung screwed up on the 4.3 update. Its like they stopped development at the 90% mark and released it.

chinese kernel works for me:fingers-crossed:

That chinese helped man for the wakeup lag and battery life is also better than custom kernels..thanx for that file..

This increased the binary counter to 1....after flashing the Chinese kernel via Odin...

I just flashed Chinese kernel it's way better!!!

How about lag while receiving call?My Phone can't immediately wake up if someone calling, and i've got ringtone choppy likes "very bad scratched Audio CD"
Sent from Mobile Phone

yank555 kernel ( yank555-lu.net )
does a great job too.
lags are not perfectly corrected, but I can use my phone again :good:

Please excuse my noob question but is this considered rooting or will this change the phone to a point so that apps like sky go and various banking apps will no longer work?

I really should read posts properly. Sorry OP.

another very good kernel is the LiteGX Kernel.
with British firmware and this kernel my phone became very stable and smooth. and I get rid of lags also

can i use this kernel for S3 korean version (SHV-E210S)?no running in android 4.3 with very slow wake up lag, i try re installing stock firmware for many times, the result just the same.. i'm affraid of bricking my device after installing this kernel. thanks for your help

No, this kernel is for the S3 3G only, yours is 4G.

Help needed with moving to a Safe ICS Kernel From Stock 4.0.3

Hi, I have a galaxy note which is running the stock ICS out of the box. It is not rooted. Here are the details:
Model Number: GT-N7000
Android Version: 4.0.3
Baseband Version: N7000XXLPT
Kernel Version: 3.0.15-N7000JPLPD-CL643396
[email protected]#3
SMP PREEMPT Thu May 31...
Build Number: IM74K.JPLPD
I have installed chainfires Gotbrick app and the app says that my phone (Rev 0x19) has this eMMC brickbug. So if i do a factory reset/wipe on this phone my phone will get superbricked. Thus i want to move away from the unsafe stock ICS kernel to a safe and stable ICS kernel. From my research i have gotten to know that the following ICS kernels are safe:
SpeedMod v3
Franco r3
CM9 Nightlies
MIUI
(Correct me if im wrong on any of the above Kernels)
So basically i want a step by step instruction on how to move from the Stock ICS kernel to any of the above safe kernels. Please be generous to mention it step by step because causing a small mistake can lead to bricking my phone. Also it can help many users out there who have less skill level with android and want to move to safe ICS kernels. I will then make a youtube tutorial to help out the Galaxy Note users who have this eMMC bug problem on their phone.
download this https://dl.dropbox.com/u/69014495/speedmod-kernel-n7000-ics-k3-3-Odin.tar
once downloaded, Put your phone in download mode (take out battery, put back in, Press volume DOWN + Home button + Power button)
Open ODIN, Click PDA, find the speedmod kernel, connect phone, select start.
Job done
Agreed, speedmod is simply fantastic I would recommend it over any other kernel, particular Franco r6 as it has quite a few bugs.

Thanks to all users who helped especially azaledazzle for providing the link and easy to understand instructions. So hopefully ill make a tutorial on youtube to help out members who wish to move to a safe kernel from stock ics! Cheers!
I had a few questions: Will installing the Speedmod Kernel as mentioned in the posts increase the binary count and show the yellow triangle? If it does is there anyway to reset it without bricking the phone?
Also does this kernel support CPU/GPU overclocking because the official speedmod thread does not mention it!
I flashed speedmod kernel with mobile odin, no yellow triangles or increased counts.
AFAIK speedmod does not allow overclocking.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
No, Speedmod is all about performance and stability, Thats why they dont include OC'ing of the CPU. I dont feel my Note needs OC'ing anyway.
If you do get the binary count increase and yellow triangle, Use Chanfire's Triangle Away app, Its free on XDA and it works perfectly.
I firstly would like to thank all users who helped out especially azzledazzle. I have compiled all this information into a tutorial and posted it on youtube. If any users are running the official ICS and would like to flash a stable ICS kernel then here is a tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5K5Wm_201Y&feature=youtu.be
I followed the instructions to a "T", and everything flashed great,
but my keyboard gives a "null" when I type
any ideas?
Reflash the csc. Download a rom for the region you need and unzip it down to expose the 3 files. You need the "cache" file. Reflash it.

Thanks for posting the you tube video.
I want to first know what is this EMMc bug and what is meant by bricking the phone?
I can understand that upgrading the Kernal is something very important and thanks specially for The youtube video creator and azledazzle user for giving very valuable info.
Please bear with me since am new to this. Please explain me a little about this kernal, EMMc and Bricking.
I also have one more question, once i go to download mode and if i dont want to go ahead with the updation, can i go back to normal mode? If so how?
And will this flashing erase my data? If yes what all datas?

Hey man. I understand that android can be a bit complicated at times. So I thought ill help you out with this:
Kernel: To understand what a kernel is you have to know how android works. Think of Android as layers. The basic and insidemost layer of android is JVM or Java Virtual Machine which runs everything. On top of that there is a ROM (Read Only Memory) which is basically the OS containing all the commands. Lastly on top of the ROM layer is the Kerenel which allows the hardware to communicate with the ROM. Note: This definition may not be 100% correct but it will give you a rough idea of how android works.
Secondly about the eMMC bug: It is a bug which is found on Exynos 4210 based phones which are Galaxy S II i9100, Galaxy Note N7000, Epic Touch 4g and few others. So this bug causes your phone to get "Superbricked". Now in short by superbrick i mean that you will not be able to get back your device unless you physically change a hardware component of the Phone which is the motherboard.
So now that the consequences of the bricked device are covered, i will tell you how this bug is triggered. If you factory reset/wipe your phone using settings or Clockworkmod Recovery, your phone will get bricked. However you will get bricked only if:
1)You are currently on Icecream sandwitch and with the stock samsung kernel.
2)You are Running any Leaked ICS kernel
3)You are Running any ICS kernel which is based on the Stock Samsung Kernel
To make it more understandable, these kernels contain a certain function called the eMMC_Erase function which wipes the eMMC chip to wipe. Only once the chip is wiped will the device be bricked. So the kernels which are safe are those which have disabled this eMMC_erase function to prevent the eMMC Chip from wiping. IN SHORT IF YOU ARE ON ICS 4.0.3 THEN DO NOT WIPE/FACTORY RESET YOUR PHONE UNTILL YOU HAVE FLASHED A SAFE KERNEL. The following kernels are confirmed as safe:
1) Speedmod Kernel for N7000(Recommended)
2) Franco's Kernel for N7000
3) CM9 Knightlies Kernel for N7000
There might be more kernels that are safe but as of now these three kernels are what i know of and are 100% confirmed to be safe so i recommend that you flash Speedmod's Kernel for N7000 as it is safe and also has better Performance and Battery Life than than the stock ICS Kernel. You can find my tutorial here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o5K5Wm_201Y&feature=plcp
Now coming to your second question on whether you can go back to normal mode after going into download mode. So to answer your question: Yes you can. Think of the download mode equal to going into your System BIOS on your PC/Laptop. You can return to Normal Windows after exiting from BIOS right? Similarly you can return to the normal OS after going into download mode. If you do not want to go ahead with the flash then just hold the power button in download mode untill it reboots and you should be just fine. Lastly flashing this Kernel will NOT erase your data. Only if you flash a custom ROM will your Data be erased. Just follow my steps in the tutorial and it should be fine.
You can also use cf-root 5.6. Its a stock kernel with root and will not trigger the superbrick bug.:good:

Hi mate, if you use the ODIN method shown in the youtube tutorial, then the triangle will appear but in order to get rid of the triangle or reset the flash counter just follow my tutorial here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3t6nqUiZiw&feature=plcp
Or use mobile odij to flash a chain fire kernel to avoid counter.

[4.2.2] Firmware Android leaked 4 Wi-fi version

hi people ...
This morning during my usual research, I came across a site that I upgraded incredibly over whether it is possible to update my Note 8 (wi-fi version) to the latest version of Android available today, namely Jelly Bean 4.2.2
The file to flash is entirely official and comes from the server SamMobile so who gets in and try it ...
Apparently there is a greater fluidity of the whole system as well as better battery management - which to me does not last at all, on the detail and just wanting to talk about it ...
The uploaded firmware via Odin (included in the package that'll download in v3.07) must be performed after a backup of all Our data since it will be permanently deleted, so be careful what you do - neither I nor others we take the responsibility for what you are to do
Launched the tablet in download mode (power button + power + volume down), connect the device to the PC until you get the blue signal in Odin, after which add the file CODE_N5110XXCMG2_1031850_REV01_user_low_ship.tar in CODE section and the file CSC_OXA_N5110OXACMG2_1031850_REV01_user_mid_noship.tar in CSC section as well as the kona_wifi.pit file in PIT.
Start the firmware flash just entered and wait ...
...so, we should also have Android 4.2.2 on Our Note 8
Let me know how it goes the operation, thanks ...
Were you able to re-root

the process will void your warranty because it is a beta rom (unofficial) but should not serve root permissions to do this ...
... remarked that this custom rom / firmware is only for the GT-N5110 !!!
nb. Obviously those were brought innovations introduced by Google with Android 4.2.2 as the lock screen widget, the quick setting and other software implementations.
will be curious to have some users talk about how this works for them...obviously flashing leaked software voids your warranty, but, everyone here already understands that...
i have the LTE version .... but not a single ROM is made for it :crying:
Has anyone tried this yet? I'm downloading now, and will probably go for it (though maybe not till later tonight/tomorrow. I'll update this post with a few comments once I've had a look at it.
UPDATES:
CF Auto Root works fine to root this version.
ALL data (including internal SD) is wiped using the above method.
Internal SD card data is all in /DATA/MEDIA/0 after this update, so even if you manage to update without a full SD wipe, nothing is going to be where you expect it to be. Unfortunately no multi-user though Beware when restoring a nandroid that the new location of SDCARD may cause problems.
Everything important (to me) seems to be working fine. Despite the SD card wipe, all my S-notes reappeared by samsung sync, so I'll just have afew pictures, pdfs and documents to copy back. Definitely feels faster, the Note 8 always felt really sluggish compared to my HTC One, but now there is not much between them. It even feels more responsive now than the GS4 I tried out when I was comparing it to the HTC.

There is not too much difference from the "old" firmware 4.1.2 but for performance let us come in a few hours ...
If you are interested, this is the album with the pictures of this custom firmware 4.2.2 inside the note 8.0 wifi only of the friend's niccolò ...
byeeeee
@rmein... await us all, I'm waiting for your new sdcard
note 8
Has anyone tried it yet?
Downloading now...was over an hour. 15 min left
My main concern about flashing this is requirement to flash the new partition table. None of the 4.1.2 firmwares I have looked at seem to have a .PIT file, so I'm a bit concerned I won't be able to go back to 4.1.2 if this turns out to be a bit buggy.
I've gone ahead and done it. Bugs so far:
I've only once been able to edit the extended toggles, subsequent attempts force-close the Settings app (In fact going to settings -> notification panel force-closes settigns too). Wifi seems a bit flaky but that could be my workplace, will try at home tonight.
But...
Apps can be moved to SD card now, a lot of them, but their icon is replaced with a SD card one [edit: Only on the homescreen, you can remove it and re-add it and it's fine].
More as I find it...

Yes, it's normal that there are bugs ... however, we are talking about a beta and not a final draft, though coming.
Let's say that affect the transparencies that were not there before, the ability to have all the widgets available and how to claim the boys SamMobile greater responsiveness attached to a battery power more gradually - the only thing that interests me honestly: P
I'm very happy with the update so far. Definitely much more responsive than 4.1.2. No serious bugs so far.
Time to start messing about with it, I never bothered on 4.1.2 because I knew there would be a 4.2.2 coming soon enough....

Hopefully 4.2.2 will encourage a few more users to try their hand at making custom roms. There are so few roms at the moment that I'm even tempted to share the few tweaks I make to the stock rom (basically just rooting, deleting some of the stuff I don't use and installing Xposed)
Civato and soloilmeglio are doing great stuff, and perhaps now we are the first in the Note family to get 4.2.2 we might get some attention from other experienced devs.
@gshaw1967: just use CF Autoroot, I think it's just downloaded apps you can move to the SD card.

Will be rooting soon too...there are so many mods to try
FYI the firmware marked "XTC" on sammobile and samsung-updates.com are Vietnam CSC. I have not tried the other fw. I had to root then used csc chaner app to change to sun csc. It us not reallt of utmost importance but then it is good feeling to have the proper csc.

did you factory reset and wipe cache after updating? You lose data and settings but you start fresh in doing so.
Right there seems to be worst lag in XTC fw. Might get back to SER Russian rom or Gennxt SER. Indian fw also showing lags according to users.
Hi guys, from Davao here. Running the INU firmware, rooted and some apps frozen via Titanium Backup.
Hi kabayans!
I might make available/share for download the "rooted deodexed zipaligned" and cwm flashable XTC 4.2.2 I cooked using kitchen. I am reluctant to do so because I may not be able to support it. I am not a dev.
What do you all think!

I'm currently using the stock malaysian 4.2. Updated using odin without wiping and factory reset. It started out fine for a week. Now, the lag is getting worse. Do someone know of a better region to choose without this lag problem?
Try the latest Russian SER update.

How are your galaxy grand doing guys? My grand has a broken usb port. It can charge but is not recognized by the pc. So i cant update nor root my galaxy grand. Im just waiting for someone to post an update or a root tutorial capable of flashing through stock recovery and not using odin and cwm. In technicalities i would rate myself 9 from 1-10.. so i pretty much know what im doing. And btw for what its worth, using the philippine update is actually ok.. all updates are fluid and good but u need to make sure first that before u update to a new firmware that your device is reset to factory default. And before you install an update, make sure to clear cache and factory reset the device first for effecient and smooth update. How i wish i could update and root my grand.. looks like i need to spend 2k-3k more just to have it fixed. But anyway, if you guys need my help, just reply to this thread.
And for faster and more efficient usage of your sd cards, make sure to use CLASS 10 SD CARDS ONLY.
BNB2 stock rom here. so far no lag issues.
for those of you who are experiencing lag on any stock rom you might wanna try this:
format /sys
format /data /media /sdcard
flash AMF7 4.1
flash BNB2(which ever stock rom you prefer)
I've been using BNB2 for less than a week now. the only issue that i've encountered is the color turning negative. i dont know if it has something to do with the rom or the system apps that i've uninstalled using nobloat app. anyways, it only happened once and the fix is just turning the screen off then on again.

Since the very first week, Grand has this screen issue, for me atleast... The screen's colors become faded... the saturation drops!! and after the BNB2 update... it started becoming negative... God know after next update what will be happening! Switching to Note 2 now

i just updated to this I9082XXUBNC1 >> http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9082
stock 4.1 - AMF7 4.1
again no lag issue. you can also try changing launchers. Touchwiz is really laggy on previous stock roms. Although touchwiz is pretty decent on the new rom, I still prefer nova launcher, much faster.
here is a video on the new rom(I9082XXUBNC1). nova launcher vs touchwiz
Video is a litlle bit slower while using screen recorder.

[Q] [NOT FIXED- GS4 Lots of issues with radio signal and calls!!!! PLEASE HELP ME!

Hi guys, first of all let me share al my specs in order to place my question properly:
PHONE MODEL: Galaxy S4 SGH-I337M (the original stock kernel was: Build Date: 30.05.2013 -> Region: TCE (Mexico) PDA: I337MUMUAMDL Changelist: 518267 Android: 4.2.2)
Actual Rom: CyanogenMod -version: 10.2 10.2-20130923-nightly -jftlecan
Compilation number: cm_jfltecan-userdebug 4.3 JLS36G eng.jenkins.20130923.022829 test-keys
Recovery Mode: CWM via Rom Manager Pro app
So saying that I will say this: I came from stock to CM wiping Factory Reset and data/cache only and I used Odin for rootint the device....no problems at all, runs like a charm...
MY ISSUE #1: A couple of auto-updates ago (via Rom Manager), I start to notice that the radio bars (telephony signal, mobile internet signal bars) were from 1 to 2 bars in places I always get full bars (I live on a 7th floor with excelent signal at Mexico City). I searched on the forums (XDA developers and here) and it seems that ROOTED DEVICES SHOW THE REAL SIGNAL PROVIDED BY THE CAREER---->can someone confirm this? Is my phone showing the real signal strenght?, eventhough, keep reading to see that low signal bars are only the beginning...
So as i said, I didnt worry pretty much, because if the bars are little low, but i have a good quality service, who cares? but the REAL PROBLEM appears when another update came and when Im trying to use my mobile internet (4g or 3G, doesnt matter) the signal cuts exactly at the moment of loading a page or any info....it as happened with almost all apps (specially Facebook, Waze and Google Maps)
It happens as follows:
1.- Open any app, like Dolphin browser or Firefox
2.- Page starts to load info (LTE showing download and upload state)
3.- LTE-3G or whatever, shuts down (I see only the telephony signal bars and there is no internet signal)
4.- Wait few seconds, LTE-3G whatever is back...have to try again and agin until LTE remains steady (sometimes it wont until I reboot)
ISUE #2- DURING CALLS:
- Sometimes people cant hear me, but I can hear them...restart the phone and the issue fixes it self...buts is very annoying to restart my phone every single time somebody calls me and they cant hear me
I dont know what to do guys? Shall I wait until final CM10.2 comes to light? Somebody has this bug also? Is this bug part of CM? or there is another app making this rare behaivour...(do you recommend me another ROM for this model of GS4??)
EDIT: I tried to flash the original modem.bin (via ODIN) which is used by my carreer (TELCEL, son of Slim AKA "The richest man on Babylon :silly: is the company´s name). So until now, I can tell that in my first attempts of opening pages or facebook, the randomly LTE turning off-on continues...I will keep testing with this "orginal" flashed modem....

It's defiinitely a modem issue. You can flash new modems and try. (backup efs before doing so, actually if you dont already have one - do it before now and save yourself some grief)
If that's not fixing the issues...
I'd backup what you need and start fresh. It would be the easiest way to resolve all your issues. Maybe even try a different kernel set for your region and phone.
Kies has a useful firmware recovery option that sets you back to stock.
The Kies will use your model number and serial to get you your stock firmware and reset you back. Id wipe all data under settings then do it. After its done, do another factory reset in recovery.

Thanks for that advice, i guess Im going to do all that if a new kernel doesnt fix the issue (I havent found any kernel for my region which supports Android 4.3, only 4.2.2, and someone told me is not correct to install such a kernel). Good day to you!

So after done all the "back to stock" steps, I still get this questions:
1.- Would I still be ROOT but with stock firmware (Touchwiz) and cool features originally made for Samsung GS4? (such as air gestures, etc etc)
2.- If im "unrooted" by the steps described in your link, can I upgrade to 4.3???
Thanks you are so kind!
Check out GoldenEye ROM or MDOB ROM in the development forum. They are extremely stable, super fast, tw and excellent battery life. CM is awesome, but is seriously way to flawed for our S4's right now to use for day to day life.

Well I just went back to original stock firm ware via Kies, and now the radio signal issues are gone!! CM 10.2 didn't work well for me as the stock rom is now working in my phone. Something tells me that some times it's better to just rooting (for enjoying cool apps as Greenify) and not installing custom Roms (because all this kernel carnival is just to much, and appart of all we have to install radio firmware? Just no!)

So what do we need to start?

Thank you for the forum!
Since this is the "new" S4 I'm very happy that it has it's home now.
I got mine as a surprise after throwing my "old" I9505 in the wall and breaking it in half in a post-op amnesia so it was a nice early Christmas gift
So where do we start? If you look at GSM-Arena: http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=5542&idPhone2=5665
It's very close to Note 3. It's so close that I think that they make it in the same production line. That is logical to cut the costs.
There are obvious things that makes them different but really not that much as core-hardware.
Note 3
3 gig ram. It can do record video with a notch higher density, but is that hardware or software? I'm guessing the later.
I9506
I noticed that the cam has focus-problems when I tried to do my bills today (that has QR-codes so you don't have to type them).
It had trouble with near focus. I tried with my HTC One X that focused it much better.
The only thing is if the Knox has an e-fuse but we will soon be aware of that. In that case there will be problems. For Samsung.
What more?
It doesn't have the Wifi-bug that Note 3 has. I don't know if that has anything to do with the 4.3 or not?
Does anybody know about Wifi-problems with 4.3 with the i9505?
The bug is that it considers the Wifi being "poor connection quality" and disconnects. While you stand next to the router.
I tried that on 3 at home, went back to the shop and it worked there flawlessly. Figure.
So that bug is something we don't want to introduce here since I'm guessing we need to blend some code form Note 3?
So basically it's a damn rocking phone. It's a pocket Note 3 and I think we can do amazing stuff with it.
I did an Antutu on original TouchWiz (has only rooted it) and got almost the same score as Note 3.
I know, it doesn't say that much but it's a measure of SOME kind. If not qualitative then at least quantitative.
So since I have a Note 3 as well (damn saleman). I was supposed to give one of them in my family but I think they will get my Htc One X
So the benefit is that I can test stuff on both. I don't care about flags, Knox or not. I have a green light from my cell-provider.
"Don't Duck up our cell-net and no warranty if you brick your phone by software" so a bit of precaution and nothing wreckless maybe?
So. How do I build a custom rom? I need a "Custom rom for Dummies" here
I don't even know if there is Kernel-source to start with? Do Samsung disclose that or do they don't give a damn as usual?

*edit. Miui would also be nice!
From what I have seen by reading threads on rom building, it could be as easy as building a rom for the the i9505 and then replacing some binaries from a Note 3 rom (or vice versa).
Scrosler in the Nexus7 area gives a pretty good noob guide to building.
I am reading up on XDA-university and CM porting guides at the moment.
Hello guys
First of all nice to see that some of you want do something for the I9506 same like me but i think we need cm support otherwise its not easy to port roms...
Well here are some answers for the questions.
1. Yes it is same s800 processor like in Note 3 wich is supporting LTE+ 150Mbit
2. The wifi bug on Note 3 is Firmware related since you have it
3. All countrys where you can get a I9506 got 4.2.2 Firmware.
There isnt 4.3 Firmware out for I9506 currently but in near future it will since the S4 is on Samsung update list to 4.3
4. Source for I9506 is already out: http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=search&searchValue=GT-I9506
So CM devs have to grab it and support our device
5. Knox?... Since i can read here our device is ready or has already Knox: http://www.samsung.com/de/consumer/mobile-device/mobilephones/smartphones/GT-I9506ZKADTM
Well we will get it atleast with next update 4.3 cause its not in bootloader currently ... i can see only the Knox app ... but i dont care it
6. The well known dsixda's Kitchen i allready tried but our device is currently not supported http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=633246
7. There is also the AOSP Paranoid Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1863547 wich can be ported but i didnt tested since it didnt worked with dsixda's Kitchen for me
There are much more but the base of all is CM! So please sign here if you didnt allready

I've used SamsungCamera2.apk from Note3 on my SHV-E330S(same as I9506) and UHD video works right "out of the box" No any patches required, except some patch from Note 3 community to remove record time limit.
Just some precaution: I'm using 4.3 firmware on SHV-E330S, while I9506 has no 4.3 yet. So, i think you have to wait for 4.3 first and then can use Note3 camera.
Update: actually UHD resolution is already supported by stock E330S camera, but isn't enabled in APK. I've just enabled and it works fine.
PLEASE READ THIS!!!
Let's make a rom! (question)
Its been moved by Mod to general Forum so thats why i post the link for it!

Ok. Here we are, born to be free (Knox Free). Absalon asked me to give you guys something special. Well, I'll give to you guys still running 4.2.2, - 1 link to my Google drive. You are required to flash with Odin v.1.85. This will be a totally stock XXUAMJ2 system image just ROOTED, the KNOX **** removed and odexed...:good:
Install Chainfire's SuperSU, and some kind of BusyBox.:good:
You can't use CF's Mobile Odin ATM, our model is not supported and that's why I made this pre-rooted system image.
You can now remove/freeze whatever you want, with whatever app you like. I have freezed down 73 apps on my S4+
Try to install CF's Triangle Away and see the result. Funny, not even my S3-LTE shows that kind of info.

Click / copy link and download.
This is the normal odex version. Unpack with zip and it will give you 1 file named SGS-4_Firmware.tar.md5, now flash with Odin v1.85!
Fire up Odin, select PDA!!! and browse to the unpacked file, named: SGS-4_Firmware.tar.md5
Make sure that: Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time are ticked! Nothing else.
Get your phone to download mode: From Phone OFF, press the volume down+home+power buttoms at the same time and will you get to download mode or use a USB jig, I use one from the god old Galaxy S2 days.
Connect USB cable to PC and you should be ready to go.
Press start and wait....after some time your phone will reboot, you are now rooted, running totallty odexed 4.2.2 stock.
If you have already rooted your phone any other way, you might get cunstom/modifed...just tell me and I'll make an Odin flash file with stock Kernel and this PDA.
If you like this, please thank me :good:
Next will be be De-Odexed version.
Ok here comes the De-Odexed version:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LINK REMOVED, due to a problem with the SecContacts app.
It just don't like DeOdexed version.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you don't know anything about all these things....don't do anything, READ and learn. It took me about 2 1/2 years to get in to this stuff...I'm 52 now...
Ok guys, please let me know how it turns out!
See ya' all.
Best regards

Click / copy link and download.
This is the normal odex version. Unpack with zip and it will give you 1 file named SGS-4_Firmware.tar.md5, now flash with Odin v1.85!
Fire up Odin, select PDA!!! and browse to the unpacked file, named: SGS-4_Firmware.tar.md5
