[Q] LG Voice app error over car bluetooth help? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

The LG voice commands app gives me an error when I have it connected to my lexus car stereo. It says my system does not support voice commands. This is a 2012 vehicle, when I was using windows phone the voice commands worked perfectly.
Any ideas?

Voice command and Bluetooth

All,
I am using Microsoft Voice Command and would like to know if I can issue voice command via my Sony Bluetooth headset kit?
If MS Voice command is not capable of this does anyone know of product which can? I would like to be able to issue voice command by pressing the button on my Bluetooth kit and also when someone rings me their name is announced.
Thanks

[Q] car kit bluetooth competability issues

Hi,
I have a SE hcb300 bluetooth car kit which worked perfectly with HTC cruise.
I upgraded to HD2 and now i have some problems with it.
I can pair my phone with the BT but i cant accept or initiate calls from the car kit. ( I know that HD2 has no voice commands so not being able to dial out is not such an issue but i want to be able to accept calls from the cat kit).
If I dial out or accept a call from the phone itself it is transferred via the car kit's speaker.
i read that the problem is in the BT stack used in HD2.
Is there a way to change it or is there any rom that uses a different BT stack?
Thanks,
David
I have never used any bluetoothheadphoes or car kits with my HD2, but it does have voice commands - if you download and install Microsoft Voice Command v1.6.
The voice commands feature is less important - I really need the ability to accept calls with the car kit.
Will android installation help?
Hi !
Exact same issue since months with my HTC HD2 on my Audi S3, never been able to find any working solution yet :-(
Seems to me that HTC and MS doesn't really care.

[Q] Bluetooth and BMW

Hi all,
I've got a '08 BMW 335i, and am trying to figure out if this is a car or WP7 issue. I know my head unit does not support A2DP, but does support bluetooth headset.
99% of what I do is supported, I.E. just calling, grabbing the phone book, etc. However, voice command doesn't work. If I try to execute a voice command, the EQ bars come up to say it's listening, but neither the car's bluetooth mic or the phone's mic pick up what I'm saying.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Ben

[Q] Car Mode not functioning with Bluetooth on?

Hi,
Hoping someone may be able to help me please. Have had my S5 for 8mos, it's an unlocked Rogers phone on Bell network, working well. Recently bought new car, 2014 Civic EX, and trying to use "car mode."
When bluetooth not in use, it works great... voice command "Hi Galaxy" wakes it up, voice activated messages/calls sent/placed seamlessly. But, as soon as I connect to bluetooth device, it doesn't work! At first thought it was something to do with bluetooth system in my car, but connecting to my old blueant headset does same thing, as does connecting to my friend's car.
Saying Hi Galaxy will change the display to speak now with red mic symbol, but the audible beep that prompts you to say voice command is absent, and the phone doesn't recognize any voice commands at all. After ~ 4 seconds, the display reverts back to say "Hi Galaxy." I have looked through all settings I could think might have an impact on it's function, but can't get it to work.
Thanks very much for any help or insight.

Voice Dial on android 8 head unit

Hi All,
I have a Pumpkin branded Android 8.0 head unit. AE0273B according to the website.
I have my phone set to connect via bluetooth and the hands free works fine, only problem is no voice dialling. I have enabled 'OK Google' which works but it will not make a call, I assume because it is trying to make the call using the head unit not the phone. Is there a way to enable voice dial for a bluetooth connected phone?
Thanks,
Chris
Bump.
Not possible through head unit.. use google assistant on phone for making calls
