I have a tidy phonebook, so I only have about 60-70 contacts. I like it that way easy and fast to find the people I contact. However when I want to send a sms and select the phonebook it list about 300 contacts/items. Not only does it split all contacts into 1 line pr phonenr/email but it also display my email contacts etc.
How can I change this ? The settings button does nothing :crying:
I want it to show only my contacts with mobile phone nr.

1) Can you change the font size of the sms/email application. I would like a larger font to make reading and writing messages easier.
2) When I look in the SMS Sent Items folder, I see a list of messages which are udentified by phone number not contact name. Should the SMS's be identified by the relevcant contact.
In Contacts my phone numbers are all displayed as "+44 1234....' etc. I did change them all to have the space removed but after syncing with Outlook the space appears to be back again. Will this have anything to do with it.

1. The current version for the inbuilt sms/email application does not allow changing font size.
2. It should. However I found out that, if you compose sms from PHONE > Send SMS ..., the name of the contact does not show in the sms. Unless you compose the SMS from Contact or replying an incoming one which has Contact name identified.
3. Perhaps your Outlook is set to overwrite your pocket pc Contacts in ActiveSync?

On my MDA, when I go to the contacts, I don't see the phone numbers but only the name of them and it's well (I have choosen to display them like this in the options)...
But when I want to send a SMS and I go to the contacts by this way, the name AND the phone number is displayed ?!?!
How can I only display the names in the sms application too ?

You can't, as this view does not have any option to choose which number should be used. So it displays the contact one time for each attached number.
hi guys, just asking whether there is a way to make the built in messaging program search the no other than mobile phone no in my contacts? (what I mean is when I wan to send an sms to one of my contacts, we can just type a few letter of the contact name and a list of mathing name will pop up and then you can choose from that list. but the only no showing is for mobile phone only. some of my contact has more than 1 mobile phone no.)

Does anyone know of a way to remove the Send Message option for home/work numbers within contacts? It's not a huge deal, but alot of my contacts have mobile, home, and work numbers and it's pretty annoying to have the contact cluttered up with Send Message for 3 numbers...
My Atrix is not diplaying any contact pictures (mostly Facebook) next to my sms conversation. It just shows androidlogo for everyone. Can this be changed somehow?
For mine all I had to do was enter the Facebook app and open up my friends list and scroll down all the way so it loads all the pics..It refreshes the SMS contact pics
