hi developers
good bought samsung s4 thinking every other day there will be rom update
and we people can play with this great machine.
just like galaxy s2 and s3 and before launching only the thread was full of some or other things
but after approx 8 month of launching we still see just 3-4 developers who r trying there best,
just like once in a month or so with few here and theres and new versions
should we expect any new roms just like i9505
regards
Miui Will be available soon for our device now it in beta stage
And many users don't like slim roms because they use some of Samsung features that included in th Rom
And BTW
You posted your thread in wrong section

Is it safe to say that MM2's CM 7.x development is totally dead and time to upgrade the phone?
I tried ICS and JB roms, very, very laggy and slow for daily use, at least being used to CM 7.1 speeds.
I'm looking to buy Samsung Captative Glide i927, the sub forum is a lot more active and there are plenty of diferent roms to choos from.
Thank you.
Dont give up Roms for our ms2 are geting better and better Just w8 try Mars cm it's great and updated
nope,ms2 in Chinese fourm has many guys are pathing/fixing likes MIUIV5&CM10.1 and so on..
Okay so my Note 2 is sold and I am buying the S4 (I9500) tomorrow or the day after, but I was shocked after going to the Development section! There is no Android Rev HD ROM for I9500 but I9505 version is there! Why?
Also more things are available for I9505, but for I9500 very least amount of mods! Since I used ARHD on my Note 2 I never ever used any other ROM, as it was so fluid (never thought Android could be that smooth!) and never went back to stock ROM! And I hate AOSP ROMs, so if I buy I9500 my option is to stay on Stock ROM now or what?
This could well be a deal breaker for me!
The i9500 is only available in cirtain countries and is isn't very favourable to devs because of all its closed source hardware. It's why cm etc find it a lot harder to develop for. You can get really good stock based ROMs such as omega etc but due to its restricted availability you won't get as many devs for them.
Would still be a really good buy though. Give it time, as contracts get cheaper over time there should be more interest in them
@jujuburi
Hi,
Welcome to the S4 forum.
Please check out the Help Thread for the S4 in my signature.
Senior Member 123hiten had the i9500, and managed to get hold of a i9505.
You might want to talk to him about how he was able to do that.

Yup, that got to me too, unfortunately i didn't do my homework first by checking the development section. One of the main reasons is the CPU chipset, and the amount of people who own the i9505. First it is easier as i understood to work with the snapdragon than the exynos and also most people which includes developers have the i9505 and the ROMs cant work on both devices because o the chipsets.
Now about lag, you dont need to worry, I am still in stock rom rooted and there is DEFINITELY no such thing as lag....runs smooth as butter, but i was still disappointed in the lack of ROMs which I like to flash for fun.
Kids, no fighting. If you don't like something, don't complain - move on. If there is something wrong, report.
As simple as it gets
I've been using a Galaxy S4 lately and just stumbled on to the fact that I actually can get LTE on my Nexus 4 (didn't work for me the first time I tried several months ago). So, I'm back, rocking my N4 and just wondering which roms are the happening ones nowadays. Thanks in advance for your feedback
Sorry we don't do best roms thread around these parts, you can check out the development section and see which rom thread have the most views, that is the most popular.
Also we're moving to 4.4 already.

For me, personally, I'd been using Paranoid Android 3.99 as my DD (daily driver) for the longest, I can't use my phone without PIE or HALO now. But all the devs and many users are gearing up for Google to release the Kitkat source code in the coming weeks for the Nexus 4.
Hi Friends.
I have a 3 yr old Galaxy S2 (GT19100) and I must say this is the longest running phone in the history of my Mobile Phone usage. I have been using Mobile phones from the year 2000 and I must say the technology has advanced so far on the last decade or so that at times I find it difficult to match up with it.
The purpose of this thread is to help Galaxy S2 users to find the best custom ROM's for S2 users. (Dev's and testers your feedback is the most valuable)
Personally, I am a fan of Samsung's Touchwiz skin and I have used Wizzedkat, Jellysnap, Revolution Rom etc and I would like to know your views on which Touchwiz based Rom you find the best and why.
I am yet to try the Fusion and I know there are many more Touchwiz based Roms.
I would appreciate your contribution as this will help all those who are looking for a stable Touchwiz based Rom which works great and gets the most out of our S2.
Sorry, but Best ROMs threads are usually not allowed.
So a mod is likely to freeze this thread.
Discussion might be possible if a thread is framed differently than "Best ROM".
That said, particularly with an older device like the GT-I9100 is now, I prefer AOSP ROMs. I prefer KitKat or Lollipop before older stock ROMs most of the time.
And despite what I, or many others, might feel about the situations about CM and CM Inc, CM11/12 and ROMs derived from it are still in the lead as far as popularity goes, though that lead has diminished over the last few years.
I currently have 18 active Android devices I use for testing my Android apps. And all of them has CM or CM derived ROMs available, except possibly for some Sony's if FXP is considered distinct from CM.
Of course my perspective is that of a developer, mostly doing app testing. Individual devices may have ROM's available that appeal more to people who like UI and other "extra whiz-bang" features.
Neat ROM!! Its awesome, just moved over to the 4.4.4 version if neat ROM and its good.

+1
you have lost neatrom
I've seen a couple of ROMs like these for the Snapdragon powered Note 3 with a lot of S6 apps ported to their ROM. Is any such ROM in development for our Exynos Powered Note 3? For now I'm running Stock Lollipop with some S6 apps like Music, Smart Manager, TW Launcher etc, but It'd be great to have a completely new ROM built with S6 features and such. The phone app looks a lot better and resembles Vanilla android. If anyone is willing to try, I'll help you with the testing part.
Thank you
We got so less developers for note 3 n900 :/
We can't get s6 roms so much early maybe we have to wait for another 5-6 months

So true. but would we ever see a S6 ROM port soon? Even though we have a few devs, they've done some great work like giving us CM12 and such. Hopefully we'll see this too
Need it man....
