Guys i think i made a mess...
Earlier when i had installed a fresh copy of windows 7, my PC showed me nexus 4 MTP under Portable Devices from where i could transfer files and all...(i didnot had the android-SDK Kit with adb at that time)
I wanted to flash stock image back so for that i downloaded the WUG's Dev KIT 1.7.3 and so when it was checking for my ADB status i didnot return that allow PC to read adb on my Phone and so the TOOLKIT gave an error...so i went for the initial setup to install drivers in which the step states to uninstall every installed driver related to my NEXUS...i did so...after wards in step 2 it asked to to install the Google/universal ADB drivers which i did and i finally restarted my pc....
Now what issue i am having is that neither my ADB is connecting nor my device is showing under portable devices...!!!
Guys please help...i am unable to fix this because i want to make a clean my internal storage but not without making a backup of Picx, Music and Downloads and esp. the Titanium and TWRP BCKP files!!!
HELP HELP HELP!!! :crying::crying::crying::crying:
And now my Lappy is not even trying to install the Nexus 4 driver, earlier it used to show not installed

Hey all, I am a noob to the root process but I am giving it a try on my Nexus 7. I am using the following thread on this site but since I am noob I cannot post to that thread. I did search the site but couldn't find a thread that was enough like my issue to help me.
[Google Nexus 7 TOOLKIT V2.0.0] Drivers, Backup, Unlock, Root, CWM, Flash + MUCH MORE (Thank you MSKIP for your seemingly excellent post, can't wait to finish to root and CWM process!)
I have installed the drivers, booted into fastboot mode and the toolkit sees my system but when I try to backup everything I receive the error "Unable to connect for backup". It creates a backup file on my PC, but its a 0 KB file.

Windows 7 64bit PC
Thank you in advance for any help. It is much appreciated.
I was on a older version of paranoid (4.1). And now I wanted to go to the latest version (4.2). I downloaded the files with goomanager when I had 4.1 still installed. After resetting in recovery I remembered and realised I downloaded the wrong gapps cause it downloaded the latest 4.1 gapps and not the 4.2 version.
After only installing 4.2 without gapps I downloaded the right gapps in goomanager again. After getting back in recovery and resetting again. I tried installing the 4.2 again but I got a error. I also so that my files got moved (prob because of the multi user option in 4.2?).
After leaving the recovery I couldnt load up android normally and I couldnt go back into recovery from bootloader (prob cause of the bug and I need to do that from a computer right?).
My problem now is. How do I get the 2 zip's file I downloaded from my laptop to my nexus 7? I always have had a android phone with a sd slot, but the nexus 7 doesnt have one. Is there a way to drop the 2 zip on the nexus 7 and install them from recovery. Or do I need to do it from ADB (but I dont know much about how to use it). I know there is a command to reboot into recovery (adb reboot recovery I believe). But what are the commands for factory resetting(maybe also reformatting the nexus 7 so my music/video files are deleted?). And finally installing the zip's on my laptop. (I have both a mac and windows machine).
Just install nexus 7 toolkit install it on your pc ,connect your n7 and follow the onscreen instructions.It will run the ADB commands through a selection process and let you do pretty much anything without the typing of the manual commands.
i think too, it works in the command control with the manual commands
hello friends, my nexus 4 usb debugging was disabled when the device blew rom, however I can turn it back on bootloader
I tried to install another rom when just ruining what was already installed, then it is no system running.
I'm not consiguindo to flash any other rom via ADB and TOOLKIT, also tried to install the ROM from sideload and I got nothing.
Also tried to transfer files to install an internal memory via rom put the "push" command does not succeed, all options call for activation of usb debugging.
How do I fix this? Please if anyone knows help me!
What recovery do you have? And what version also could I ask what ROMs you flashed that made this happen?

You can fix all issues like this by flashing a stock rom. Download it straight from google https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images.
Flash using "flash-all.bat" for it to work properly you must have the fastboot.exe in the same directory (or have added it to your path).
Hi,
here is the situation with my Nexus 4:
* Android 5.0.1
* rooted
* TWRP
* can't access via adb while in bootloader (I tried everything I found over the Internet... uninstall/reinstall driver, tried another port, another computer, another OS, etc.)
* device not recognized when I use the "ADB sideload" option of TWRP (In Windows device manager I see "Nexus 4" with a yellow mark but I haven't been able to find a driver for it)
I want to upgrade to Android 5.1.1 (and won't go further), but how?? since I can't do the OTA update (because of TWRP) and I can't flash the Google official image (since I can't access while in bootloader)...
I don't care if I need to wipe everything, my backups are up-to-date (nandroid + Titanium).
Does anyone has an idea?
I can access to my device from Windows via ADB commands only (not convenient but it works).
Thanks a lot.

Download wugfresh nexus root toolkit. Works flawlessly.
Edit: you may need to follow the driver install instructions!

thanks for your help. Before I saw your post I used Skipsoft toolkit. Seemed to work but now my device won'T boot, it's stuck in the lolipop animation boot. I switched it off many times, but still stuck. Maybe I should have used wugfresh toolkit. I'll give a try later. Thanks again.
I rooted my Yoga Book , and all was working great until this morn when I opened Magisk, and it said there was two updates available. One for Magisk Manager, which installed fine, and one to Magisk 18.1. That did not go fine! I did the direct install as recommended and when the tablet rebooted, I got multiple bootloader errors, and I cannot get back into the operating system. Right now it is in the Android recovery, the stock one. I cannot get back to TWRP. The only ADB commands I can send to it are from side load. When I try to side load the twrp image, I get an error on the tablet stating failed to open driver control, no such file or directory. If I could get into TWRP, I could restore the tablet from a backup. I have attached a photo of the errors I am getting. Any help would be appreciated!
Edit: I installed Intel Platform Flash Tool, and the stock Nougat ROM, but apparently it does not recognize the tablet.

I think the root of my problem is the ADB/Fastboot drivers. In Control Panel, the tablet is showing as "Cherry Trail Tablet" with the drivers not installing. I installed the ADB drivers again, but cannot get them to see the tablet. I am pretty sure I had ADB debugging turned on in the tablet since I rooted this thing back in December.
I got it back up and running. It was as I suspected , the ADB drivers for it were not installed. One I got that I was able to go into TWRP and restore from my backup. Once I get it rooted again, I will make another. I would REALLY recommend that anybody that is rooting this tablet (or any other one), make a complete backup in TWRP, on an external SD card, NOT the internal storage. It just saved me!! lol
Bro what drivers did you use and from where???
