[q] help adb, install rom and usb dbug - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hello friends, my nexus 4 usb debugging was disabled when the device blew rom, however I can turn it back on bootloader
I tried to install another rom when just ruining what was already installed, then it is no system running.
I'm not consiguindo to flash any other rom via ADB and TOOLKIT, also tried to install the ROM from sideload and I got nothing.
Also tried to transfer files to install an internal memory via rom put the "push" command does not succeed, all options call for activation of usb debugging.
How do I fix this? Please if anyone knows help me!

What recovery do you have? And what version also could I ask what ROMs you flashed that made this happen?

You can fix all issues like this by flashing a stock rom. Download it straight from google https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images.
Flash using "flash-all.bat" for it to work properly you must have the fastboot.exe in the same directory (or have added it to your path).

[Q]How to flash back to stock with no USB?

I have a problem with mounting my phone in Windows (see here; http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=841645) and I need to return it for testing.
How can I flash it back to stock without a USB connection?
E.E.
Assuming you're rooted and on a custom ROM
You will need unlimited data to try this.
Not sure if this will work, but please do try.
1. Make sure your phone is juiced up.
2. Download the Stock RUU you want from the internet - save to your sdcard
3. Download another sense based ROM that you has no issues with the USB cable - check the post and changelogs.
4. Perform rom backup with ROM manager (get from android market)
5. Wipe and flash new Sense based ROM on your phone.
6. Once your phone is booted, the USB SHOULD WORK.
7. Move RUU to your PC. Link to HTC sync - phone should be set to sync.
8. Install RUU.
And once it is one, you have unrooted and are back to stock ROM.
Should your USB fail at stage 6, you should try a different custom ROM.
If it's still not working, you might want to search how to USB unbrick (i think there's something like that on the forums).
Unfortunately its not a rom problem. The USB issue seems to be a hardware problem.
I have flashed multiple different backups from CM6 to myvery first backup I made of the newly rooted rom.
I just need to put a stock rom on it so that I can get warranteed service. Otherwise I'm pretty sure they'll just shoot it back to me, marked warranty void.

Have you tried this?
It's to unbrick your usb

I had also problems with mounting USB, can't tell if they were the same as I don't use windows and can't tell how it behaves. My problem was solved after I flashed the rooted vodafone FroYo. Maybe this could help you, too.
I haven't tested it yet but it may be as simple as downloading the zip from shipped-roms.
Renaming it to update.zip and flashing it from Recovery.
Can anyone confirm?
E.E.
Actually the best solution I've found yet is this one here from the CM forums.
This using the .img files from the zip I downloaded from Shipped-Roms earlier
Instructions
---------------
1. Boot n1 to fastboot mode
2. Extract the FRG33 files to your tools directory in PC (you need system.img and boot.img)
3. In your tools directory, fastboot the following commands
fastboot flash system system.img
WAIT
fastboot flash boot boot.img
WAIT
Reboot
Alternative method
------------------------
Rename the stock file to passimg.zip
Now you need to use ADB to get it on the SD card, or just copy file to sd card root directory
Command: adb push passimg.zip /sdcard
Now get into the bootloader and it should detect the passimg.zip file and ask if you want to install it.

Since I have Fastboot available to me, this seems the most hopeful method.
Can anyone confirm is this not just hopeful thinking?

[Q] [HELP][DRIVER ISSUES] MTP not working

Guys i think i made a mess...
Earlier when i had installed a fresh copy of windows 7, my PC showed me nexus 4 MTP under Portable Devices from where i could transfer files and all...(i didnot had the android-SDK Kit with adb at that time)
I wanted to flash stock image back so for that i downloaded the WUG's Dev KIT 1.7.3 and so when it was checking for my ADB status i didnot return that allow PC to read adb on my Phone and so the TOOLKIT gave an error...so i went for the initial setup to install drivers in which the step states to uninstall every installed driver related to my NEXUS...i did so...after wards in step 2 it asked to to install the Google/universal ADB drivers which i did and i finally restarted my pc....
Now what issue i am having is that neither my ADB is connecting nor my device is showing under portable devices...!!!
Guys please help...i am unable to fix this because i want to make a clean my internal storage but not without making a backup of Picx, Music and Downloads and esp. the Titanium and TWRP BCKP files!!!
HELP HELP HELP!!! :crying::crying::crying::crying:
And now my Lappy is not even trying to install the Nexus 4 driver, earlier it used to show not installed

Nexus 4 without OS and Windows does not recognize it

Hi,
I have a problem mangy enough, while I was going to flash the new custom ROM, I accidentally forgot to transfer the zip of ROM in internal storage and continue with factory reset.
Result: No OS installed.
The first thing that I have did is google, trying various solution like that, restore the stock ROM through Unified Android Toolkit,
unfortunately unsuccessfully due to the lack of the driver ADB and FASTBOOT.
But how I do install the driver whitout OS?
You experts, give me good hopes!
EDIT:
SOLVED:
adb push <romname.zip> /sdcard/<romname.zip>

Stuck at loading screen with any rom

Hey there and thanks for stopping by.
My Nexus 6p simply won't boot with any rom. I tried Chroma, Purenexus, CM. I'd like to flash stock now but it seems the bootloader just won't recognize my usb cable (wich is the stock one but displays message "Connect USB Data Cable").
I got Google Driver installed from SDK. So basically i get no connection through bootloader but under TWRP everything is fine. Is there anyway i could possibly flash stock through TWRP? Or how can i make the bootloader work?
I'm on twrp 3.0.0.1, EX kernel 1.18.
Huge thanks in advance for any help with this.
Fixed!
Despite the "Connect USB Data Cable" message, my device still saw my PC using Minimal ADB and Fastboot (with admin cmd prompt). I proceeded to manually flash one by one the stock files to my device and it worked flawlessly. I suspect my earlier format corrupted the EX kernel in some way although how, i don't know. Good luck to anyone bricking their device, that guide helped me a lot: http://www.androidtipsandhacks.com/root/twrp-the-complete-guide-to-using-recovery-on-android/

Please Help! Stuck on TWRP menu :(

Hey guys,
I hope someone can come to the rescue with this matter. I did an OTA update on my LG G2 (D803) and it booted to twrp option menu. I downloaded the stock firmware (which is a ".kdz" file) for the phone but can't find a way to install it on the phone since the PC is not connecting to it neither does it have external memory. I played around the options like restore, advanced but it seems empty. I can't even turn off the device with the power button. What can I do? Please help

OTA updates don't work when custom recoveries are installed. The device would be bricked. Sorry you found out the hard way. If you can boot into TWRP, you can download a ROM and Gapps. Buy the usb flash drive that has both USB point and Android 3.0 point. Copy the downloaded ROM unto it, slot into the charging port of the phone, boot into recovery. It should detect the usb flash, navigate to downloaded ROM and flash. This would work if you can boot into TWRP. Hope it works. Give feedback. Good luck

What about ADB or terminal command? I see it under the "Advanced" Menu in TWRP?
If you can do into download mode and allready have KDZ file just use flash tool 2014 to go back to stock (search here for "going back to stock:" post)
Also.. if you can send data over usb cable, try to use sideload to upload custom rom, or like stated before, use USB stick with OTG
You can also try this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71044359&postcount=2
or this as a last case scenario: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/lg-g2-unbrickable-fix-real-hard-brick-t2904404

I have moved the kdz file to a usb stick and attached a usb stick to an OTG. But where in TWRP do I go to read the usb stick and how can I complete the process? Also I did try the SRK tool from on the links you provided. The phone is not detecting the computer while plugging in the usb while the phone is on TWRP and the computer makes a noise when the usb is connected but srk tool is not reading the phone.
You can't flash kdz with twrp or other recovery! Download custom Rom and gapps or a debloated stock rom and flash it with twrp. The custom Roms are zip files. Do you have twrp installed?

Yes you CANNOT flash KDZ with TWRP you need FLASH TOOL 2014. Download flash tool 2014 (search it on xda) than, in your G2 go into download mode, connect your phone to pc with usb cable and than run flash tool to flash kdz
