Ok so I don't have screen burn-ins but I know it's a possible issue on Amoled screens so I have some specific questions about it:
-Using a white clock as a screensaver in the app ''carhome ultra'' could lead to a burn-in? it's a simple white clock on pure black background with a sentence ''please touch the screen for menu'',dunno if white color can do burnin...
-Using ''Daydream'' feature is a bad thing or as long as it's animated we are good?
-Using smartcover case (with window) is also considered as a burnin trigger?

Just realised when I looked closely at the white background of the email hub, the white icons on the main menu tiles have burnt faded-yellow outlines into the screen, most likely because I had the screen setting set as "always on".
Can I fix this by placing the phone on a plain black screen for a good while? Or even switching it off?
Cheers
I didnt think the omnia 7 had a always on setting? I had a screen burn problem too: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=973337
Thanks for the link to your thread comera. Your screen burn-in was crazy big! Mine is just a few white bits from the main screen icons. They are only visible on a completely white screen and since I use the dark theme it doesn't really matter. They are very, very slight anyway.
The screen off "never" option is a registry edit. It has proved useful on occasion but I made a mistake one night and forgot to switch off the option and also the screen. Ah well.
If anyone wants to enable the option then here is the code but please be careful with it.
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\Lock] "DisableNever"=dword:0
I just recently got my Note 3 last week through At&t and I'm highly satisfied. I have a question that I have not found the answer to yet. The phone, contacts, and message screens are predominantly white with black font. I kind of have a hard time with this due to my bad eyes. I can see better with a black background with white font. Is there a way to change these screens to black? I have watched some YouTube videos and see people with black backgrounds And White font in these screens. Help please.

its overall colour re dailer, messages ,contacts is standard a darkish blue /black with white letters.
so it seems it a carrier thing .?( your colour white with black font or did you by accident enable a wrong settings ?)
one thing, have you tried to go.....settings /device/accessibility then scroll down to negative colours (reverse the colour of screen )
if i tick it my dark screen will be reversed to white etc..etc untick and i have darkscreen with white lettering
there is also other very good settings on that page eg..font size ...short cut

Hi! I have a 9506 variant, with a screen with slight color difference across the screen from top (cooler gray) to bottom (warmer gray).
I know, there are many such cases on samsung's amoled screens, and I also found that Cyanogen has a screen calibration, which can change the temperature for the whole screen. But is there a solution to fix not the whole screen, but partially, according to each screen's characteristics (user adjustable)?
You're probably looking for a screen filter app with adjustable overlay.
Though I don't think there are many apps with such a feature, as there aren't many requests for partial screen overlays.
Try CF.lumen. It was designed to adjust color temperature on the fly.
Can anybody please tell me if theres a way to get my yotaphone 2 (black) to invert its colours or display white text on a black background on the EPD?
Basically I would like to have my phone function in the same way as the yotaphone white's do, i.e in a 'night mode' style display.
All help will be appreciated

Hello
Not sure of what you are looking for. You can always invert the black & white in Yota reader, but That's the only thing I know. If you want to invert the whole epd screen all the time, I have no clue.
Yep im trying to invert the EPD all the time like it is on the white version of the phone found in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYThtveI8iQ
Would it not be possible to flash the white versions firmware to my phone?

I have done that and it changes nothing about the display, my phone is rooted, do you think that might be affecting the white theme from working?
When you load the 'white theme' doe s it invert the colours/give you white text on black background?

This weird screen behavior was observed when I first used a parallax wallpaper application (FYI - it's the 3D Parallax Background by Vinwap).
When I set my moving wallpaper to an image that depicts a starry sky (i.e. lots of white little dots that subtly move when tilting the device), I noticed that the screen would show some visible horizontal flickering at the same area the sky sits.
The effect gets more noticeable as the brightness gets increased. For your reference, I attached a screenshot of my wallpaper to demonstrate what kind of image is required to replicate the issue.
Any ideas on why this issue might occur? Is it a common thing across AMOLED screens, or just another problem with OnePlus 5 panel configuration?
