I would pay to not have the verizon logo on front.

Wow, $100 bucks for a replacement screen/digitizer?!?!?!?
NOT BAD AT ALL!!!
I don't expect to break mine but it's great to have the link just in case!
Thanks for the link!

I would looooooooove one of those -- I'd gladly pay $50 for it
I Like the DEV Phones Glossy Keyboard, looks good on it. Although that does mean smudges out of this world lol. Have you looked into getting that design inscribed on the back of your cover?
Concerning back covers.
I have already ordered one from HTC to replace my grey one with a black one. Unfortunately they didnt have the white UK one. Why not order a replacement for 15 dollars and have it sent out and painted? I am sure it can't be more than 50 dollars when finished.

Finally? This was posted at least one week ago. They don't seem to answer my emails so I don't know what to think. I find the replacements very expensive as well specially the digitizer. Personally find it very hard to wreck the LCD without wrecking the digitizer, which in that case will be very expensive to replace, over 360$. And that's if you replace the parts yourself.
Oh well It's good someone has these replacements parts but the screen has been on Ebay for much less, still no sign of the digitizer.
Sorry my phone has been out of commission for a while and decided to check the other day for parts and ran up on them. Decided to post the links...Oh well. I bought my bro's broken g1 for 50 bucks and put his screen in mine. Not sure what is wrong with his goes straight to the recovery mode and some keys dont work.
No problem. Good you managed to open the internals of your device. I can't remove the housing from the back.
Is it hard to take the g1 apart and put it back together. I scratched the housing and was thinking bout getting a replacement and transferring everything. But im scared i might mess sumthing up.

Probably not difficult for someone who has opened a lot of phones. This is my first time.
That sounds like a ripoff to me. You can get a decent 22" LCD for that price.

G1 Replacement Window Lens Digitizer Price Lowered
It looks like they heard you. I just checked it out and the Window Lens Glass with Touch Screen Digitizer is now available by itself and it is much cheaper. Check it out http://www.cellulardr.com/G1Digitizer.htm

Removing the Tmobile Logo?

Hey there is there any way to remove that stupid tmobile logo on the phone?.. wondering beacuse im getting another hd2 from usa and id really hate to have that branding on there and my carrier isnt even tmobile!
Its doubtful and if you did it would screw up the finish on the phone.
you can see that the logo is under the glass so theres no way to remove it. u only have two options, put a sticker over it or go on ebay and buy a replacement digitizer that doesn't have the tmobile logo on it...
rlee
Buy a case that covers it up.
dude its not that serious. The t-mobile logo doesn't look bad nor its purple or pink unless you wanna sell it as the international version

Sorry to hear that mate. Read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9629791&postcount=23
I had the same thing happen. I spoke to Samsung, they told me to send it to an authourized repair centre. I did. They said the screen and the lcd were inseperable and it would cost $300 to replace. I said okay as my credit card insurance was paying for it. After waiting for a month for the replacement part, I told them to just ship it back. I purchased a gelaskin to cover the cracks (they are mostly on the bezel). Best $20 I ever spent. Good luck to you. If you do get it replaced for $65 please post where you sent it as I would be interested as well.
Get insurance from squaretrade its like 90 bucks for 3 years. Check the facebook page for discount code. You can get it up do 90 days of device purchase.
Hey, will Squaretrade still work if it is already broken? I have warranties with them for other things, but they were purchased new (as was my Tab) but now my tab's screen is totally cracked. Do they ask if its damaged?

AT&T Branding

So, I hate my phones being branded with the AT&T logo. I went to one of my local AT&T stores today, and they told me what I expected: that even if I ordered an unsubsidized phone over the tele, that they'd still be branded with their logo.
Looking online at Negri Electronics SGH-I337 (unlocked), they are all unbranded (but they're also not yet in stock). I was wondering if all that was just a ruse, un-updated pictures that'll be corrected when they first list the phone as "in stock", or, heaven forbid, the true UNBRANDED phone that I covet so? Anyone order an AT&T phone from Negri before?
Here's to hoping it won't be branded!
Why not just get the AT&T version then replace the back cover with one that's not branded?

Are they only branded on the back? Last AT&T phone I bought had the logo and name on the front, and the logo again on the back.
Thanks for the idea though, I was about to drop an extra $50 for something I didn't need.
I suppose back covers will be easy enough to get soon anyways. :fingers-crossed:

The logo would probably come off with nail polish or Goo Gone. Either that or cover it with a case. I'd personally go with the one I could save the most money on. Just wait until Verizon comes out with theirs with the logo on the button .

Yeah... That kind of stuff just sickens me. Why do you have to go ruin a perfectly beautiful phone with your logo, when you had NOTHING to do with research/development/production/advertising/etc?
Yeah, I tried the whole penny scratch-off thing before, and it scratched the **** out of my glass... Don't ever want to try removing that stuff again.
I don't disagree with this at all, but it sounds like you never had an SIII where the branding was identical, just a small ATT globe logo on the back of the phone, nothing on the front.... you must have had one sharp penny to scratch the glass! Pennies are what everyone used to get them off the battery cover on the SIII, and while I don't care enough to spend time modifying that when I have a car dock to get working, I like saving the stock battery covers for resale in the end, so I'm leaving this one mint and getting a new one to ruin over time - my aftermarket SIII battery door is going in the trash and the stock one that had never been installed is going to the new owner when I sell it on eBay this week!

Screen replacement - This the right part?

Hello,
I've been a little mixed up by the Screen vs Digitizer parts I have seen discussed here. Is this part the right one to repair my Verizon G2? This is both and not just one or the other right?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Black-L...e_Replacement_Parts_Tools&hash=item5afeb2f9f4
@MoreGone the display+digitizer is the right part for your verizon g2 since the digitizer cable is made for d800,d801,vs980,ls980 and some other d80x models but i saw
That the lg logo is missing but further it looks okay, if you still have warranty then i suggest you to find one with an lg logo, I am not sure but i believe that the verizon g2 also has the LG logo in front right?
So short and good answer on your question:yes its both digitizer+lcd display and its compatible with your verizon phone.
Thanks.
yeah the Verizon phone does have the logo. I don't believe my phone is still under warranty but didn't think about that.
Thanks!
No problem goodluck with replacing your display
