I'm noticing that whenever I get a call, the volume is very erratic, but oddly there seems to be a pattern. It starts out normal, then jumps high, then back to normal, then finally gets very loud.
It's not the ringtone itself, and I don't have the increase volume in pocket feature turned on, so it couldn't be that.
Anyone have any idea what could be causing this??
TIA!
have you check the adaptive sound under setting~sound?
suspect maybe the adaptive sound is processing at that moment.

For some reason even though I turned up all the way the ringer, media, and system volume it seems to be super low. Please help.
Which volume? If it's the earpiece volume on phone calls, go to Settings -> Call Settings and enable HAC mode. Then turn the volume down before it ruptures your eardrums.
I had the same thing happen one time...a reboot of the phone solved the problem for me.

As lame as it might seem, enabling HAC mode was one of the best suggestions I've ever found. Ever.
I had a similar issue, but for me it was the east piece volume. Out of nowhere the volume seemed to be locked at a barely audible level.
I ended up having to do a warranty exchange. Sucked because that was the only phone I had and I could only use speaker phone to take calls

running dk28.
the volume of the incoming call ringtone is REALLY low. I have it set all the way up in settings/call settings. Same thing for notifications. In-call volume is fine, and actually too high many times.
Any ideas?
What rom r u using?

Make sure the ringer isn't actually using the "in-call" speaker.
That happened to me a few times, a reboot fixed it up.
Has anyone experienced a really loud vibration sound on their DHD? It is really annoying so I've turned it off. Is there a way to configure this?
Thanks
Check whether the metal ring around your LED flash is not loose and that it vibrating is not causing that noise.
It's not loose with my phone, and it also makes a lot noise when it vibrates.

I had issues with vibration before. If It's not right send it back...
It is simple to fix for HTC. Don't settle for second best.
My phone feels amazing now my vibration is working correctly, before it was embarrassing when it vibrated. Really horrible experience to use the phone.

You can change the vibrate pattern within Chompsms for when you get texts. It won't change the force of the vibration, but it can be set to a shorter one.
Hi guys,
Someone else noticed a back speaker click (like when you pull a mic from an amplifier) when it turn on even when the volume is set to zero?
It's pretty annoying since when it's silence you hear that every time you receive a message or some app uses sound even when volume is turned off..
Any thought?

Bump?
My MXPE volume is set to high on media, alarm, and notifications/ringer, however the volume is low when I receive a call or text or notification initially then gets loud on second ring. How can I maintain the volume level on high? It is like the phone is in a sleep mode or standby mode. anyone else experiencing this issue or know how to resolve it
Thanks, Rob
Just asked this myself, but I'm thinking of using a text editor in build.prop to keep it at the highest volume
