[Widgets]HTC's version 2.0 widgets

I would like to share with you the new HTC Widgets Collection that was released with
the first beta rom of Desire HD but then HTC decided to remove them from HTC Hub.
In the package you will find all the 16 widgets:
Battery
Call mom
Coin flip
Day challenge
Dice
Fake call
Fortune cookie
Most contacted contacts
Notes
Quick record
Sand timer
Tasks
Tip calculator
Today in history
Translator
Word of the day
They were all downloaded by me and tested with RCMixHD (all versions)
and work great.

Will this work on MIUI rom?

Sense widgets are (clearly) for Sense roms.

Are you sure? I think that at least the battery widget was working in Sense 1.x as i remember having it installed.
I can't test it right now cause i'm using an HD rom. Sorry

i've tried a search but have found nothing.

The file has not been deleted, just checked it.

Damn, i cant download the files. Is it possible for someone to upload it to Mediafire or any other file hosting sites?

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but are these just for the latest sense, or will they work on all versions?

I think they will work on all sense versions, but you can try and report back.
I'm currently using an HD rom so i can't test.

Just extract it using winrar, the copy the folder to your sd card and install the .apk's, with an explorer, in your phone.

Hm, the battery widget doesn't work on my HTC Desire for some odd reason :S

doesnt work on my N1 (using modacos desire port w/ sense) trying to install it gives me "Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_SHARED_USER_INCOMPATIBLE]" and when i try to update one of the ones included in the rom it gives me "Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_UPDATE_INCOMPATIBLE]" does it just not work on the nexus even though I have sense ui?

Where did you get it from? Password is likely embedded in the app, meaning we could read it out

Same thing for me, i didnt download it as it said on it "shop Display use only - Not for Users" which i found quite odd as it is appears to me as an update mean it must be on my phone somewhere.
My phone came from phonesforyou uk, don't know if that has anything to do with it.

yeah it came with the iplayer on it and thats one of them apps it wont let me remove, still havent rooted yet, downloading the firmware samfirmware.com atm to flash that first.

If you really want it, please get the APK and post it. I'll then look for the password

If you downoad the app on to the phone does it change anything or is it ok to install?
Also how do you update the firmware on this particular phone?

So I am new to android, how did you open the files and read the password out? Are there some special tools or did you do it with the SDK?

I used apktool to decompile it into smali, then read the smali in notepad2.

Can you let me known which firmware you used. I've installed the tar for the KDD build in the PDA tab with Odin. I got the file from hotfile via samfirmware. It got rid of the o2 splashscreen and o2 wallpaper. I've unlocked it. So it is pretty much 100% clean.
I didn't load up anything in the CSC tab. Which CSC file did you load? Cheers.

Hello, i'm newbie here, i also bought a demo version of samsung galaxy note 10.1 N8010, and there is also retail mode app inside, but i cannot remove it, although i have restore to factory reset...any suggestion ?

Back the original one up in /system/sounds/lgeSounds/PowerOn.mp3, download this one, rename it to PowerOn.mp3 and put it in the same place.

Could u make a bootscreen of HP Lovecraft's Call of Cthulhu

Depends if it's bootable.

Hmm... To tell you the truth, I have no idea. I am using the stock v20g ROM + root and tweaks btw. You should go find the special tutorial for applying bootscreens on the V or your ROM.

Applying the bootanimation is cake. I should have been more clear. The sound file folder doesnt exist in the path listed above. Ive tried various different things to get this to work and asked about it before in other threads. But nobody knows.
Thanks for the reply guess Ill go rip apart the stock rom and see where virgin hides their sounds.

Ah, I see. Yeah, guess you gotta do that if the sound is not the same as the original LG one (you can check that out in a recent video on my YouTube channel).

Agreed. And, at the time of writing, nearly 3000 pages to wade through for answers. These forums are rapidly becoming too unwieldy.
However, the rom in question is a beta and is in goo.im under dev.

You can download 'halo)))" app from play store..
its for free and then you can change the settings for halo..
Btw there is not much you can change..
just watch a tutorial on youtube if you want..:good:

HALO on PlayStore is just an extension to the HALO feature to offer much easier multitasking :highfive:
Relatively, the HALO settings can be accessed under Settings > Toolbars.
@sakir_nsu @croques has already put you up to the right link, kindly update your ROM to the latest. The simple fact is, that you're using the update prior to the introduction of the HALO concept.

No worries about sounding ignorant, I know the search but the results are to old 2011 /2012 so I was looking for some more up to date advice instead of still looking out dated search results.

Disable My Magazine app. :good:

You can have a look at the Aroma add-on package zip that I offer with my ROM... (See my signature, you can find the bloatware aroma package at post #2 of that thread)
This contains all the bloatware that you can disable.
Just open the zip on your PC, and go to the Add-on folder to see which apk belongs to which function.

If you look at the second post for this Rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2732110 it gives you the bloatware that you can install back on to the phone once installed. That is probably the best starting point.
