Can someone please make a flashable zip to disable this feature in froyo ! I hate having my messages history in the call log feature ! Very annoying ! I don't know why on earth samsung thought this would be usefull!.. and they don't even give u a option to disable it and only have calls in and out show !! Smh

As you know, the app currently allows viewing by missed OR dialed OR received calls, but we can't view ONLY our incoming and outgoing calls without also seeing the logs of text messages (i.e. we can't view only our calls!).
Adding a "see all calls" option to the existing list would solve this issue by excluding the messages from the list. (Duh, Samsung!)
I'd prefer adapting the existing phone logging function to a new app because a) this would hopefully be an easier mod than creating a new app, and b) this would allow the user to continue to keep a log of messaging but not have to look at it if they don't want to.
And by the way, c) you Developers ROCK!

This new functionality is very ANNOYING!!!!
In the meantime. See if this meets your needs. Although it's not exactly what we need and someone still needs to fix this.
Instead of going to "Logs", go to "Favorites"
(Optional) Menu > Frequent first
(Optional) Menu > Grid View
UNFORTUNATELY this is only based on out-going calls.

There's a free app in the market called Advanced Call Log by NickyCho which does what I'm looking for -- anyone know a way I can have the phone app open this program instead of the stock log (when I open phone, and press the Logs button at the top of the app)?

Awesome, thanks! This works (so far) for me - I'm on dk17 currently using viperROM 2.6.
I downloaded the .apk from the thread, and then used root explorer to rename the existing LogsProvider.apk (found in /system/app) to Logsprovider.apk.bak. Then I pasted Mammon88's into the /system/app directory and rebooted. Voila! Only calls now. Thanks Mammon88! And posters who found it and posted it here!

I would like to know if there is a way as you now whatsapp plus can freeze your lastseen
If my lastseen is online and I am not using whatsapp when someone send me a whatsapp msg and wanna read it my lastseen will go online . There is a way that can I freeze the lastseen from.outside the application ? Before opening it like tasker or something ? Its very usueful any help its highly appreciated

Set up a desktop widget for Whatsapp+, you can toggle status there.

You don't follow instructions properly don't you..? Install official Whatsapp from Play Store, set it up, chat with one person by sending them at least 10 messages. Backup your chats in Whatsapp's settings, then uninstall Whatsapp. Install Whatsapp+ and it will skip verification.

using whatsapp+ you can hide your online status by buying the plus donation in playstore. you can hide online status but still can send message. people still see you by the last time you hide your online status.

Hi Guys,
This is the issue I am facing after Kitkat update.The phone sends automatic sms to some unknown number for every reboot or shutdown and the worst thing is that for every sms it takes away 1.50 Rs from my prepaid balance.
Anyone knows which culprit app is responsible for this issue?
I tried a lot searching my phone,I cudn't find any such.
Please let me know how to fix this issue.

But the problem is solved for now.Dono how.No more issues with those apps.
Install without SIM, change the lines on buildprop, freeze the system apk's "salestrack" and "salestatistic" with Titanium backup or similar, and problem solved!!
Cant both apps be uninstalled? Or will that result in a mal function anywhere on the OS?

Fix for Gionee phones sending SMS without permission
Here is what you can do to fix this issue. This was provided to me when I called in Gionee Support.
1. WhatsApp "Hi" to this number : +91 8448895071
2. You will get two .apks from that number.
3. Install the two .apks and then reboot the phone.
According to the support person, it would take a couple of hours for the fix to work.

I am using a gionee S6s phone in Pakistan, this problem started when i upgraded to android 7.0. It kept sending sms again and again and every sms was charged me Rs: 20 (To India).
I found salestrack app and froze it with titanium backup, also edited build.prop. But i couldn't find salestatistic app.

Some messages will come only when the person who text you are online.
Thats because you or the other person (who text you) recently reinstalled the whatsapp app.
I haven't heard about any such bug in WhatsApp. I might just be a problem with your network i.e. data conneciton. Hoever, you can try contacting WhatsApp developers or checking if you're running the latest version of the app.
Turn off any form of battery saver/optimisations on your device (via Settings) and reboot.
The problem is with your network . restart your device .
Did you recently used Titanium backup or any other app to restore whatsapp data??
Just backup whatsapp messages from the whatsapp itself , then clear data and reconfigure it..
