If your rooted then use trickster mod app in playstore.

I downloaded No-frills CPU Control and toggle on apply at boot. Of course, you have to be rooted to do this, but pretty sure you have to be to change governor at all.

App to change cpu frequencies without going to bootloader (CM7)

Im on CM7 stable and i need an app which can change cpu frequencies and vsels without having to go to the bootloader and having to reboot. I know setvsel is there but i know it shouldnt be installed on CM7. However i did install it and it doesnt work.

if you have root explorer, you can edit the overclock file in system/bootmenu/config. For the changes to affect, i guess we need to reboot anyway!
Before I got CM7, I used something called 'Milestone Overclock' which can be found on the market, and requires root. It was very simple to use and allowed you to set a custom combination of frequency and voltage. It also allowed more than 1000MHz like the CM7 app, I think 1.2 was the limit. (I never went above 1000 though!!)
Thanks guys. The root explorer overclock shows me 4 values while the bootloader only shows 3?

franco kernel

In the op for the Franco kernel it says there's an interface for overclocking the GPU, I feel like this is a stupid question but I can't seem to find it can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks
either use the franco kernel app or go to /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/gpu_oc/ with a root file explorer(like root explorer) and manually edit the variable and save it.
Trickster mod app also works.

How did you change your dpi settings and not go into a bootloop?..

Like I just did: 0

Easiest way would be an app like Rom toolbox by jrummy. What did you change yours to?

Wait you set your DPI to 0? No wonder it bootlooped...
I'm going to try 240 or so, that's what I had on my Note 2. All you have to do is modify build.prop, I used a DPI changer on the play store though as I had issues with my root explorer changing it.
I tried texdroider dpi app from playstore, I changed it to 360 and when I rebooted I never came back. Had to do the flash back to stock process.

Same here, the only value that didn't get a bootloop is 380 DPI, anyone has any clues to this behavior ?

lol if you are root just xposed installer and app settings, then change dpi per app the way you like.
That way you can leave stock untouched

Stweaks profiles for dorimanx LG-G2 Kernel

Recently there has been a lot of posts in the kernel dev thread about best settings in stweaks for battery or performance or whatever. Here we can share our personal stweaks profiles and keep the dev thread cleaner As always anything you apply to your device is at your own risk!
To share your profile.
1: Make back up in stweaks.
2: Find backup in /storage.
3: Upload here for us to try!!
Please state when uploading if your profile contains overclocking. Also try to give a brief description of your settings.
To use a shared profile.
1: Download to device.
2: In /storage locate current profile backup with the same name as your downloaded choice and move or rename. (Only applies if you've previously made your own back up.)
3: Copy downloaded backup to
/storage and then in stweaks select the profile that your downloaded choice starts with. E.g. performance or default. Stweaks will restart with stock values for that profile. Now scroll down the profiles tab and hit restore now. The downloaded profile will be implemented.

Downloaded already... How can apply in stweaks ?

Find in the root of your sdcard performance.profile_backup and replace with mine. Then in stweaks click performance profile. Then go to Restore now.

Here's mine, I'm testing it if it's a good balance between performance and battery life

Tried on both uploaded Files... Weird

You have to have selected performance profile first for mine then you press restore now down at the bottom of that tab. That restores the user backup which if you've copied mine to the right place will restore with my settings. What ever the uploaded profile starts with ( eg, default, performance etc) that is the profile you need to be on before selecting restore.

Guys it's that difficult, the settings backup goes to the root of the internal and then you need to go into stweaks profiles and select the profile you want to restore and preserve restore settings. Easy....

My Stweaks profile: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8y8w3zi3idkqx0d/default.profile_backup
For me these settings provide good balance between performance and battery.
Oc 2,5 My D802 does not seem to like higher oc unless I up the voltage witch isn't so good for battery. I really like the Nightmare & Darkness govs, give me good results.
I also shared a link for my init.d script controlling UV and TCP congestion witch is not in stweaks: https://www.dropbox.com/s/87okuxvvz5ldp88/01_cpu_gpu_settings
Beware!! UV is tweaked for my phone, just don't copy and paste but check settings before putting it in the init.d folder!
Yes @nexus_vl I would recommend nightmare as well. I'll give your settings a try.

As a kind of benchmark, would it be OK if Screenshot of screen on time and other relevance benchmark are included when sharing your profile?

kill overheating flash zip

improve interactive issues, and underclock A57 to 864MHZ,not overheating now
do not need the z5 interactive tweak now,i have modified the init.qcom.post_boot.sh and init.sony.cpu_parameter_gov.sh,just enjoy
So, the phone does not overheat now ???
Could you post the files you are using now, and tell us something about them? Have you disabled some of the cores?
