Its fine but damn do I miss having the Xperia Play.
Actually going to try and repair mine and use it as a standalone gaming device.
So mad that a successor was never attempted

I bought an Xperia play for gaming so I didn't actually switch out, I switched in. Using Note 3 atm.

HTC One as my phone.
NVIDIA Shield for gaming. (awesome device, nice to have a real controller)
But yeah, it means not having the controller at all times since I don't carry my NVIDIA Shield around very often.

Switched to the S4. Miss the game pad

Alcatel ultra idol

Nexus 5...miss the pad, and miss the games, as not much I had works on Kitkat.4.4...Bah...
Might just get another sim, and keep the Xperia Play in my jacket.
But as of now, it's relegated to its dock, and on alarm clock duties!

Galaxy Nexus.

Nothing I'll always keep at least Xperia Play, its a one of a kind. I'm using it as the main calling device right now, and the Nexus 4 for flashing and everything else.

Xperia SP, an affordable device with the beastly adreno 320.
I really miss the days with my Play though

How was the speakers on the xperia z? I love how the play has stereo speakers. I know the htc one has stereo speakers. Its a beautiful device. But after using it and a gs4 for a week each... went back to my play.

Speaker on the Z is terrible. Because of the water resistance they obviously didnt have a lot to work with so it has one small slit on the bottom for sound to come out and it is very quiet. I love the fact that the Play sound is so good.

I have to confess that the Nexus 5 is really appealing to me in a specs department, however I know for a fact soon as I try to load up a game of any kind I will hate it immediately..... I know there are the Moga controllers and other options but the just feel gimmicky to me and I dont want to carry two devices around.... so I am 90% sure I will keep my faithful Xperia PLAY for quite some time.

Panorama

Hey guys I was wondering if any of you have tried the Panorama app? I've got it running on my phone bu it doesn't save pictures it would be cool to get it working, could it be that I'm using the xplay camera mod? Maybe it only works with stock camera?

You got it working? How? I downloaded it but wouldnt even install
Sent from my R800x using XDA App
You need to get the fix. Zip from x10 section copy the files from the two folders from the zip to your phone then reboot then install the apk, the only thing is that it won't take the picture on the play but it seems to work for just about everything else I'm starting to think that maybe this phone is just a big waste of money

Has anyone gotten the Panorama app to work properly at all? Or is it just not compatible with our phones at all, could it be that the camera isn't high enough resolution? X10 has 8mp camera same with arc I think

But noone takes root off personal computers. It's up to the end user to do so or not. Smartphones are personal computers who happen to be able to call. Why should we not have control of them such as we do with the computers we have bought?

Hayabusa and Mint sound good.
High price = hopefully awesome phones

What the hell is the Mint_I? Is it more powerful than the Xperia S?
An Xperia S in Arc body, so super slim.
Now I am really tempted to hold off for the Mint_I rather than buying the Xperis S in March. I am happy with my Arc so should I wait fro the Mint or go for the Xperia S?
I'd say wait for Hayabusa or Mint as I do

It could also be just a little step like from Arc to Arc S.
But on the other hand 562 € would be too expensive for such step.
Atm, I'm really confused, if I should buy the S or not.
As I said in another post I would wait and see what's coming out before getting a new device. It's better to wait and see what will suit your needs a rumor is that sony will have 12 new phones coming out! If you're happy with your phone wait

Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda app-developers app
Why would somebody in theyre right mind do that?
If you dont like the sgs3 there are far better options from nokia, htc and maybe others than iphone 5 )
If Apple would have released that phone with that specs 1-2 years ago (apart from the a15), yea, it would make sense to consider buying it.
But it is way behind todays standards! And it supposedly is best of Apple for a year to come? )
Well, when I switch the GS3 for another phone, it'll have to be an upgrade, not a downgrade.. so why would I switch to the iPhone 5?
The only spec that might be higher than the S3 is the high price :silly:
Now, another similarly valid question : Who's dumping his Ferrari for the latest Golf? (assuming they were priced the same)
They should have termed iphone 5 AS iphone 4ST - t for tall
No features to boast and brag... oh got its all already there in S3 so the patent issues..... cat caught your tongue ..oh sorry Samsung bite the apple

Anybody interested in the Droid mini?

Looks pretty sweet, but does it really have an LCD rather than amoled? It seems like an LCD would be murder on battery with the active display and active notification features. Anybody else concerned about that. I'm very disappointed if true. Seems a bad oversight, especially since the RAZR M had oled.

I've played around with the one a few times. A friend has one and I sell them at work. Now they are T-Mobile so I didn't compare speeds cause I know the m will destroy it. But its very sluggish and unresponsive at times. I'm sure after root and flashing it'll be great but it honestly isn't as good as they say imo

I have a Razr M and am certainly interested in the Mini as an upgrade. I have little interest in anything larger than this size so my choices are limited. I believe it will have a battery of same or very close capacity to the M. Battery life is always a concern. I loved the battery life on my Razr Maxx but it was just too big.
