I am randomly getting google.process.acore "has unexpectedly closed" error messages when I reboot my phone.
It doesn't occur every single time though.
Anyone knows why it happens?
not sure if it's due to the Google Play Services apk I installed from Kitkat :/
or any service that I may have frozen
What Rom are you using? I assume your rooted as well.

Stock ROM, rooted.
been freezing and removing stuff (with a backup) with TB..
not sure which one causes it
but it's intermittent.. it doesn't always happen
I had this a few weeks ago. It was Viper equaliser that was causing it on boot. Once unintalled, no more fc. I could be other apps that load on boot.
Have you tried clearing the cache? And if this doesn't work try to delete all data from Google apps.(back them up first). Maybe it's damaged data causing the fc

Hey I want to use the browser from CM in PA because it fades out the address bar automatically but when I just overwrite the file the browser instance closes after I try to open it.
Is there anything else I have to copy or is it not possible?
Thanks in advance
Just copy the Browser.apk from cm to PA.

I did that but it doesn't work. "browser stopped working" immediately after I open it.

Did you install it as a system app (put it into /system/app and change the permissions to rw-r-r)?

As chromium96 said, you need to set the correct permissions.
Do it either using the file explorer you copied it with, or do it with the command
chmod 644 /system/app/Browser.apk
I changed the permissions to what is needed but it won't work. I guess it maybe has something to do with framework or any browser sync stuff?

Hey guys
I've rooted my tab and uninstalled some unneeded system apps (I know I should have frozen them but oh well to late now)
Anyway is there any way to flash a factory image yet?
I will have to send my 8.3 back cause I've got a speaker issue but I wanted to restore everything first.
Thanks in advance.

A regular factory reset via the settings menu will be fine in that case. You can also unroot via super user app.
We do have the kdz to fall back on, though.

Well a factory reset won't bring all the system apps back so I think I have to check out that link when I'm home.

Fixed it. Had to do a factory reset everything seemed to work better after that.
Dear all,
I have a couple of problems since my update to 4.4.2.
Is there anybody who could help me?
1) Every time when I click on a file it will ask me to choose an app, even when I have chosen "always" a couple of time before. It doesn't save my choice.
2) After making a picture, I have to wait for "processing". Otherwise the picture will no be saved, or the saved picture will be the "taken" after I moved.
3) WIFI passwords will randomly disappear. I have t fill in the password of a wifi every couple of days.
Thank you in advance.
How did you do the Update? OTA?
Factory Reset after update?

I havent root or done anything to my phone
just the original update.
yes I have done the factory reset
OTA Updates are sucks, use Odin with your PC to flash the complete original Samsung Firmware and a factory reset again.

I tried uninstalling all feeds, emptied cache and dalvik/art cache, checked for sidescreen updates... nothing. Am I really the only one with this problem?

Hi, just picked up an S7 Edge myself and stumbled across this issue too. The workaround I found was to uncheck each panel, then re-add them in the order that you want them to appear.
