Guys i am perplexed at the fact that this single white LG G2 with ATT that i have wont unlock from a couple of websites that i tried. They say they are unable to find a unlock code for the model. I tried unlockcode247 almost 5 times still no luck. I also tried cell unlocker net which so far isn't working either. Please does someone else have this problem? if so do you know a solution? I scouring the internet for info but no luck anywhere. there is just billions of spam websites.
Try eBay, i unlocked a white G2 there once.

Thats the same as unlockcodes247. Com. Its the guy who tuns it.
You don't need to unlock it.... Should work with any sim most phones are global now a days.... Worst case root it and change the APNs.

Many devices still have carrier locks. This variant of the g2 does maybe not the verizon version.

Humm interesting Myhoain is the guy in unlockcode247.com. You mentioned in the very first post that he tried 5 times already without success.

He is probably the cheapest and the best. I had tried many services. Some had never gotten back to me about the unlock not working. Some didn't even work. MYHOIAN at first did not work either and I had tried many
Times with out success. I never said his service was flawless. He responded to me question with an hour. He gave me the code within minute after.

Sorry to tell you this, tmo will not give out the code unless the phone have been used on the account for 90 days for the person that is calling in.

There is two unlock programs from the market. Only the Galaxy S unlock by Helroz worked for me and not the SGS unlock.
Dattack what ROM are you running?
I am using the Bionix v1.2 right now. I have using a telcel sim when I go to baja mexico and the unlocking by Helroz has always worked for me. I think there is an xda thread on the unlocking started by helroz. good luck.

Not sure how they did it back then, but when I called in to unlock a phone that I have not used, they wouldn't give me the unlock code because I didn't use it with my number for 90 days. Maybe a nice rep might hook it up, but from my experience they will give you the same bs with their 90 day policy.

Try troubleshooting the unlock methods in their respective threads. The unlock java program worked for me. There are several ways to do it, in all likelihood one should work.
Avoid user error.
maybe you did something wrong on your phone that's why the unlock code won't work for you. Yes that happened to me but the method posted here worked for me.

Go to one of the stores and call them for the unlock code from there. Then, if it doesn't work you can get the store manager to intervene or better yet get them to exchange the phone.

lol the store manger can't do anything about a subsidy unlock. Beyond that, OP seems to be ignorant about unlocking the phone, instead blaming faulty codes on someone else.
When an official subsidy is filed, it goes to an unlock team who contacts the manufacturer, and is specific to the IMEI of the device. Chances are, if the OPs code didn't work, they weren't following instructions on entering it in, or never provided accurate info for the unlock.

I've provided T-Mo the same IMEI 3 times, yes, I quadruple checked it each time. Always got the same unlock code back. How is that MY fault?

Doesn`t work for me anyway, just keeps saying my IMEI number is wrong when it certainly is not as I type it just how my phone shows it.
How long till we receive the codes by e-mail? I submitted my questionaire two hours ago, apparently it accepted my data, but until now I didn't receive any e-mail.
Telling me my imei is wrong. Dunno why.

Hey everyone, I wanted to let everyone know that I have switched from T-Mobile to Verizon Wireless, as the TMO coverage in my area has been pretty bad for the last year. I've gone to TMO customer service and even a couple of their stores, and I always had the impression that they just didn't care if I had good coverage or not. I have the G2 currently running Cyanogenmod 7.2.0 Stable, and will be looking at selling it once my transition to Verizon is complete. If there are any people interested in purchasing it from me, please send me a direct message here. I have no idea what the phone is worth, but would like to get something worth my while for it. It's in great condition, except that the back metal door is all scratched up. But when you think about it, if you've owned a G2 before then you'll know that this door gets scratched up with everyday use.

This G2 community has been great, and I've learned an awful lot from so many here. I will miss this little area of XDA.

I know about the Marketplace, but I wanted to offer it up to this group first before posting it over there. I'm sure there will be someone here that may need a replacement or additional G2. If I don't get any bites, I'll post it in the Marketplace. Thanks for the suggestion though.

O man, a couple of days too late for me. I just bought a G2 in fair condition off ebay. I love my old G2, but I've worn out the power button and the battery meter is wonky. Gonna try transferring my CM7.2 backup to the ebay phone tonight or tomorrow.

eBay links aren't allowed, but wow, that is the cheapest JTAG repair I've ever seen. Guy's got pretty great feedback too. JTAGs usually go for $50-$150 depending on the model.

They charged that guy, 1 jtag can unbrick many many model android phone, But some people charge too much for rare android model phone.

Hey just wanted to say I decided to ship my paper weight t989 lol and i got say this guy is awsome im not keen on Ebay special Pay Pal, i emailed Tomy1986.nt and asked if i could send a money order And thank god he said yes, Live in Az been tryign to find someone close nota, barely mailed today ill post as soon as i get it back Defently think this is the way to go if u hard bricked and hey it happens to all of us pay attention to which rom in install HAHA :good:

well, i keep bootlooping the phones i get and i even softbricked a few, so far i have a verizon, AT&T, and sprint. t-mobile with cover metropcs, cricked, freedompop, and a few others........but a i am seeing the bootloader looks to be the same from verizon to sprint and at&t so i wouldn't be very shocked if the t-mobile bootloader is yet the same mod as the rest.
I managed to get the presidents email from a level two tech support agent from Samsung. He says that all emails are read mostly replied to. Perhaps if we all explain our plight via email, our voices will be heard?
