In the answer to the original question. Yes it works, but soft root only. You need v1.6.2 minimum, older dont support soft root.
Hey sorry If I am asking a stupid question, but I wanted to know how to turn S-off on my Aria. I'm trying to use Anim Mod and Metamorph but apparently it won't work without S-off. By the way im running Liberated Aria 2.2. Thanks for any info!

There has been no published way to gain S-OFF on the Aria. You may want to keep checking this site for any progress:

Anim mod doesn't work with that.
I recent rooted my phone, using the gfree method, an it worked well for about two months. Then my phone bricked it self. I'm looking for a method that won't have this issue. When I had my first phone, it had full(perm) root.

You probably had the phone with a bad eMMC chip. Nothing you can do about that one.

Well now,i have a new one.got it under warranty. Is there a way to check the chip, to see if it good or bad. Also what root method did you use.

Makes sure you check the md5 checksum or you risk bricking your device

Ok I followed the rooting process I managed to downgrade it too 2.2.1 and have the s-on to s-off .
I don't see superuser and is my phone unlocked to use different carrier. Also I don't have recovery install because it said failed.

More details. What did you use to get S-Off? Did you use the "Attempt Permaroot" option in Visionary?
S-Off does not equal root. S-Off means the security flag is off which allows permanent rooting to take place, as well as writing to partitions.

If it doesn't work you have to reboot and try again. It uses an exploit that doesn't work 100% of the time.
