Aroma installer - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it hard for the devs to incorporate the aroma installer that way we could use roms for other carriers but compatible with tmobile?

[Q] LG G2-D802 and CyanogenMod Installer

I was just reading about the release of CM Installer, which looks to be very promising. However, at the time of writing this, CM Installer is not compatible with the LG G2-D802. So I was wondering, does anyone know if the G2 will be added as a supported device later on?

Help with CM 10.2 on D803 LG G2

Hello, I'm new to these forums and this is my first android phone. Unfortunately for me I got the Canadian version which really lacks a lot of development for my LG G2 variant. I was wondering if anybody could help me with installing Cyanogenmod 10.2 on my D803 Canadian version since it's not supported. Is there anyway I can flash this custom ROM or any ROMs that aren't supported for the Canadian variant? Because maybe I'm just a noob but I can't seem to get the D800 or D802 variants to work with my phone. Please someone help me out, maybe I can get a guide how to install CM 10.2 or custom ROMs similar to it that don't yet support my variant. Thanks.

I managed to get 10.2 working on my d803. I'm not 100% sure, but almost, that used this kernel, by Houston:
EDIT: turns out I can't post link... search for Houston's kernels (Paranoid Android 4.4.2 beta thread) and use the d803 AOSP kernel.
and the stable d802 release of CM 10.2.
Used TWRP 2.6.2.2 I believe. I'm now using 2.6.2.4 to restore when I switch to my LG UI backup, no issues.

[Q] D803 Rom Questions

Hey guys I'm just a bit confused the D803 version. The following link says that any Rom (as long as its for some variant of G2) can be installed on to D803 but you have to flash one of the provided kernels with it. Is this accurate? I'm very stumped because I believed that there were a few Roms which needed the script to be re-written (need help with that as well.) Are there Roms which are absolutely incompatible with G2?

D802 ROMs can be installed on the D803 without issues. Just be sure to flash a D803 kernel before boring the first time.
I've successfully run SlimKat D802 version on my D803 with dr87's kennel.
However, there's a whole shwackload of ROMs specifically for the D803, so why would you need to flash anything else? Just browse the LG G2 Original Android Development forum and LG G2 Android Development forum.

Oh ok thanks! I know that there quite alot but im a former gnexus user whose used to almost every ROM available lol.
Just wondering, would I be able to use a D801 ROM with a d803 kernel? Also do I only need to install the kernel once?
You need to install the kernel anytime you install a non-D803 ROM.
Anytime you wipe/format the /system partition, you need to install the kernel.

First download and install Notepad ++
Open the Rom.zip with winrar, and look for the updater-script file. It should be in Meta-Inf>Com>google>Android and there. Double click the Updater Script file so that it opens, and delete any lines before the "Mount" line.
Save it, pass it to the phone, and flash and it should work
If it doesnt, redownload the file

[Q] Any work on MIUI VZWKLTE CDMA?

Is there anyone working on a MIUI V6 port to the CDMA VZWKLTE? Is it possible?, I just can't find a rom for the VZW S5 that works for me. I'm currently using the old KK Alliance Rom Build 2. I tried getting some of the unified roms to work and most just ended up with a black screen. And I cant go to Lollipop because Xposed doesn't work.
