Been looking everywhere. I use to use the thunderbolt lte toggle, but that doesn't work with the vzw note 3
Anyone? I don't need 4g and would love to save some battery

I think there's an app called TelInfo that allows you to toggle between 4G and 3G.

The phone supposedly support both the 1900 and the WCDMA (1700 & 2100MHz), which options in *#*#4636#*#* allow me to use the 1900MHz refarmed instead of the WCDMA?

I can't find the USA setting and yes it has been refarmed. For now it only has WCDMA preferred, WCDMA only, GSM only, then evdo, a couple PRL and their combination.

I didn't switch to that ROM. Still on the official nightly. Will give it a try. Thanks!
My pal that works at T-Mo is using their LTE test network right now, and he told me it's only in a small geographic area of town right now and requires provisioning on the back end to work. He gave me the APN configurations to try it but it doesn't work for me. So I am betting that it's not entirely switched on anywhere while they test it. Obviously HSPA+42 works great.
Post the settings so we can all try

So is the only way to tether without restriction right now to use that toggle switch app? That somehow bypasses the check Verizon does?

It does the check, but when it tells you NO, just press the home button. Enjoy the WiFis
I couldnt get superbeam to work using the tethering toggle. I wanted to transfer files from asus tablet to note3 and the connection seemed solid but when I hit transfer I got the verizon data message again and again. Maybe Iam making things too hard using superbeam but I was able to connect the two devices.

Which app is this?
Is my assumption that the goal is "tethering without Verizon noticing and trying to change your plan" a correct assumption?

I turn my mobile hotspot on/off quite a bit and would love to use a widget to speed up the process. However, none of the widgets I have tried from the Play Store have worked. Has anyone had any luck with a mobile hotspot widget? Thanks!
There's an app called hotspot toogle widget. Works with my s2

Doesn't seem to work for me. I have the provision check being skipped, as per this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2456338
Could something with that be causing the widgets not to work?

Still seeking widget
Has anyone found a solution for this yet? Like the original poster, I use the Mobile Hotspot regularly to tether my LG Gpad 8.3 to my Verizon G2, and I would definitely like to reduce the steps necessary to establish the connection. I have no hotspot selection on the Q settings, nor do any widgets that I have found thus far work for the Mobile Hotspot feature. My guess is that Verizon removes that selection from the Quick settings because they do not want to make it easy to tether.
If I had more time to experiment with Tasker, there is probably a way around this. Can help with this, I would be greatly appreciative.
Or maybe you need to start looking at an alternate ROM

I have a verizon LG G2 that I'm currently using on T-Mobile. I was wondering if I could flash a stock rooted T-Mobile rom. I'd like to get rid of the roaming indicator and the sim icon in the status bar. I already am using my phone on T-Mobile. Just want to see if I can flash a stock rooted T-Mobile rom.

What he said. Never flash anything that is not specific to your device. In the case of the G2 all carries have a different model.

Is there a way to get rid of the sim with a question mark icon and remove the roaming indicator then?

For some reason I can't upload a screenshot so here's an imgur link: http://imgur.com/jz4GCtn If you're not using your device on a gsm carrier you wouldn't see them.

I flashed D802 roms and ATT roms on my phone, just flash your perspective kernel afterward. that being said, I own a Tmobile G2 so GSM to GSM may be ok. I dont know about CDMA.
I'd prefer to stay on the stock Verizon Rom. I just need to remove those icons.

try turning airplane mode off and on a few times for the roaming. Are you going to be stock rooted, or non root?

It says I'm roaming because I'm using my phone on a gsm carrier. Verizon phones come factory unlocked. I'm using it on T-Mobile. And yes I'm rooted.

This sound like something Xposed Framework and the correct module could handle. I'm using it to customize my VZW G2.
3 modules, for Xposed Framework, i think you should look at; App setting, G2 module and Gravitybox.
Anyone else use a different module?

Hi, I noticed that the Download Booster feature is only available to those who are on 4G LTE and will not work with 3G/HDPSA+
Will this be a hardware level restriction or will it be software? I'm hoping once it's rooted that restriction will be able to be lifted so people without 4G LTE will be able to use Download Booster.
Cheers!

*Some features need root though!!*
Thanks for the reply,
I am already rooted however the main use I would achieve from Download Booster is torrents, which the app doesn't support.
Cheers though!
