Hi guys
Just got my note3 and can't find the photo editor app? It is showing in my Application manager, but there is no sign of it on my device. On my note2 you could hit bottom left button on a picture and choose edit. But there's no option on the note3, It must of been pre installed as I had a notification that it needed updated when I first signed into samsung account.
When you have a picture opened, you click once in the picture and you have the edit button on the upper right corner

It's ok I've found it lol
There is no app widget for photo editor, but if you go to a picture in gallery, you can then edit it by clicking on the icon next to the bin icon.
I feel stupid :-o

No it's stupid that it's not accessible through the app drawer even though it is a bonafide app.

Well the other morning i turned my phone on and noticed something really strange. At the bottom of my screen where the MAIN ICONS are, PHONE, MESSENGER, CONTACTS, and APPS, I am now missing the ICON for CONTACTS.
To repeat, instead of 4 icons, i now have 3?? And my contact icon is MIA. Inorder for me to access them i had to go to my APPS and bring it to my homescreen. Has this happened to anyone else???
Folow these instructions. Hit the apps drawer icon. Once inside, hit Menu>Edit then drag the contacts or whatever icons you want in to the dock. Then save and problem solved.

Don't drag it towards the trash can but instead to the end of that drawer to the left of the 1st icon.
Do you BONSAI?
Ok. Hit the Home soft button to go to your homescreen. Hit the blue icon on the bottom of the screen that looks like a window, this is your Applications drawer. Hit the Menu soft key, then click the Edit option on the screen. Drag the contacts icon, or whatever you choose, and drag it into the dock. You can configure the three icons to whatever you want them to be. Easier?

thanks guys, i was able to add another icon into the tray, i chose to add facebook instead of contacts, since u can add contacts from other screens.
Also, you can enter contacts from the phone icon as well. The contact icon is redundant in my opinion.

Not sure if this is by design, or I have done something. In the Gallery app when I click a thumbnail, I get the large image and a thumbnail bar overlays it and shows the rest of the images from that album,I have attached a screenshot of what happens.
Is there a way to get rid of it?
Not sure if it is related, but if I play a video file from the Gallery app the the video controls don't go away until I Change orientation of the phone.
What firmware are you using?
Try to disable apps in the accessabillity setting. I had issues with apps which have to be enabled. Please try to disable them and try again
If i helped you please press the thanks button.

You can't. In addition, if you change an icon and then delete it, you have to remake the icon.

You should be able to double-click the app drawer icon, choose Edit, select the the current icon and from there, you can choose any icon, picture or photo as the app icon's replacement.
Icons can be selected from themes, icon packages, your own pictures, etc. Google Play store is your friend as are the plethora of FAQs found by using the search function.
Is this your first Android phone? Regardless, you have a lot of reading before you.

Actually, I have never used a stock launcher, short of the original ADW Launcher.
I mindlessly change the launcher right after flashing a ROM and never considered it.
The very thought of it being a home launcher issue never crossed my mind.
Thanks for pointing out my oversight. :-\

I am looking for a widget or app which lets me display a photo on my homescreen and launch and app when clicking it. Really simple, shows any picture I chose, no frame, and allows me to link that picture to any app or setting etc. Is there such a widget?

it didn't work or there's no option for that.
There are 3 options popping out
the 2nd one is launch google search
the 3rd one is clear the ongoing apps
the 1st one is divided into active apps, downloaded apps, RAM, clear default, and storage
I've checked all of them and there's no option to change certain app
