install legend rom.i m getting very high score on legend rom..no other work worked but legend solved my issue
i was getting 27 k on antutu n 20 k on quadrant on n9005
now after installing legend v2 got 35500 antutu n 22350 on quadrant.installed 250 apps and 30,000 messages restored..performance is same..no lag in gta vc and other game i liked ur work..thanx
You do know that benchmarks are useless, right? Yeah legend is a great and fast rom and I am actually using it right now...But compare roms based on performance not some useless app....

36275 in AnTuTu, 22065 in Quadrant. Non-rooted Stock N9005.
If you're getting less than stellar scores, it's because of something you did, not the device. There is nothing wrong with the device.
Yes it works lika a charm. Now I got 36A+.this is very fast rom than omega and stock I guess.

Hey all,
When i run Quadrant Benchmark on my Device , it scores about 1400 points.
But this seems a bit low for me, because i flashed VirtousRom 0.7.3, with cpu speed at 1.4 GHz. Especially when i compare with the results on smartphonebenchmarks.com, they score much higher.
Can somebody explain that to me?

Hmm.. That does seem a bit low.. I'm running stock Rom with a 1.2Ghz overclock and will score just over 2k on Quadrant.
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
Maybe that's too high for your device? Have you tried the ones in between?
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
The clock speed cant be an issue...i have done multiple benchmarks with it clocked all the way up to 1.8ghz...i doubt 1.2 or 1.4 is too high for the device...must be something with the ROM...im running the same rom tho just the most recent one 0.7.4 ill report back with a 1.2ghz and 1.4ghz oc benchmark
So heres the results on my Bell DZ running virtous 0.7.4
1.2ghz Run1-1919, Run2-1985, Run3-2029
1.4ghz Run1-2092, Run2-2285, Run3-2233
1.6ghz Run1-2214, Run2-2336, Run3-2396
1.8ghz Run1-2294, Run2-2542, Run3-2415
Probably pretty bogged down with like a 100apps

Ok, the problem was setCPU, reinstalled it and now it works.
Got 2300 points with 1.49 GHz and the whole system is running much smoother.
But anyway thanks for the replies.

I am talking about it all time but nobody listen me it lags in games i reccomend you try racht cm7 and look how smooth it is it doesnt lags at all because it is celibrating fps speed so there is no lags.

Yes, this ROM is little lagy, but most stable for now. Racht roms are more smooth, but some things like video rec doesn't work yet.
i tried playing NFS and some other games on CM7 but they didn't work that's y i switched to MiniCM..the games work great
Ok,thanks.I'll try it.

Hi
First post. Will try not to look the idiot or ask what has already been asked. Here goes, I am unable to find a kernel that actually improves my phone, i currently have the following -
Nexus 4
ROM - PSX V1
Moto x mod (great addition)
Stock kernel
I have tried two or three kernels including the new Trinity one which gave me a worse performance. Would someone point me in the right direction?
Could i also say a big thanks to PSX developer for a great ROM.
Regards.
Have you tried Franco...?
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk
did you try adjusting settings to your needs? considering the trinity kernel maxes at 1026mhz by default, until you adjust the cpu speed yourself.
So if I reinstalled trinity and used trickster to increase the cpu, I might get better results?
I haven't tried franco just yet.

Right after a bit of trial and error I reckon I have cracked it.
PSX v1
Moto x
Trinity kernel
Results from antutu
22400
Results from Quadrant
9500
Up from 16500 and 6300.

Improvement is a subjective in this context. In what way? Faster? More features? Better battery life? Better sound quality? Better color? Smoother?
Benchmark means nothing. It is possible to apply the Samsung's dalvik cheat patch to your rom which will increase your benchmark score but yield no real world performance. With some settings you might get great benchmark, but the phone might get hot with poor battery life. Moreover, most benchmark programs do not tell the real story about performance. Antutu and Geekbench doesn't even work correctly with 4.4 and ART. iOS7 might get good scores sunspider javascript, but there are times when Android web performance outright beat it.
This thread falls in the category of "What is the best kernel/rom?" which is against XDA rules so I can;t help you. Research each kernel and read about its features and users feedback and find what is right for you. A lot of time stock kernel will give the best stability and battery life.
I use kernels mainly for features. There are other bigger factors about the operating system that determine battery life and performance.
What I wanted was faster and this certainly is faster. So I'm happy. Thanks for all your help.

Use latest PSX rom, put phone in freezer for 1hour, set CPU to 1800MHZ performance, GPU to 533MHZ performance if possible, raise overall cpu voltage, stop all background app, run benchmark.

Hi I would like to how this phone behaves after flashing to CM and stuff because I hve updated it from official IC(4.0.1) to JB(4.1.2) and it's a lttle bit faster it has around 300 points more in Antutu. But still hase some weird lag. I was wondering if it has those weird behaviors after installing kitkat or smth because it's really annoying.

This phone is faster with a custom rom but it's not a ferrari! But seriously, custom roms are better than stock. Some minors bugs on kitkat roms but faster than JB (JB is not really designed to run with 512 of RAM but KK yes). I use a custom KK rom and i'm happy with it. convinced?
and i say it again .......ANTUTU benchmark score say nothing about performance.you can have a high score but the phone lags and you can have low score with a fast lagless rom.

How the hell is someone running flat stock scoring 6000 more than me with custom rom and kernel? There is no way stock is faster than this xnote. This is way quicker. Stock lags like hell.

Well, im not bashing anyones work but when i flashed ported Echoe i was running at about 43000. Maybe because the codes are meant for another phone it could affect the performance.

Well benchmarks are funny things. A higher benchmark doesn't always mean better real world performance. It could be that customizations in a rom lower your benchmark score but not your performance. NK2 stock is pretty sluggish compared to this xnote rom.

Haha! Don't make me break out the mad tweaks and make this thing bellow smoke from the top of the phone! Real world performance is what matters. I don't so much read into the benchmark tests because I've seen phones with lower scores perform outstanding against a device with a much higher benchmark score. It all depends on how the device uses it's resources and how well the os is optimized. The kernel plays a big part also. The scores tend to fluctuate and the differences you see in the app benchmark tests don't always translate into real world performance differences. Most of these variances you will never notice. With this said, this phone is awesome... right out of the box!
