Below is stock firmware(.tot) for V510...
HERE for V510 stock .tot, LG Flash .dll and individual partitions
LG Flash directions etc can be found here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448960
Just apply same steps but with G Pad tot/dll instead.
Below are some conversion ideas... only try them at your own risk!!! They may result in a hard brick.
So which brave soul will try converting their current non-GPE G Pad into a GPE?
If LG hasn't added any tricks... flashing the stock V510 .tot file into the device should work. I've also included just the individual partitions for the boot chain... modem.. etc. Those might be able to be flashed to the V500 instead of running the entire tot if you only want an unlocked bootloader but nothing else. Loki would no longer be required at that point. If flashing just the bootchain.. I would flash aboot, sbl1, sbl2, sbl3 at minimum.
To flash the .tot.. LG Flash 1.8 is required. To flash the partitions... you'd use dd commands via adb shell.
example:
adb shell
dd if=/sdcard/aboot.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/aboot
I would love to see this converted to kitkat 4.4.. =D but not willing to risk it myself..
I'll risk it later, considering we've got a way out. Very exciting!

check the root LG folder in my link i posted in OP.
is 1.8 needed for G Pad? The dlls suggest only needing 1.6.
probably won't work given that secure boot is on, once it's on it can't be disabled at least on the on the snapdragon 600+, you'll probably just hard brick it
What is the offsets for LGV510AT-00-V10d-NA-XX-NOV-15-2013-KRT16O.L004-USER-16G.tot?
I want to extract system.img, but it's not in the OP link, I could do it myself if I knew the offsets of where it begins/ends.
Found it, thanks. It notified me that my version was out of date. What do you think? Hard brick coming or recoverable? No liability, just want your honest opinion @autoprime

*Chanting*
do it, Do It, DO IT!!
I'll be quick so no ones time is wasted and a viable solution can be found fast.
I bought a D802 from a third-party, with:
- 32GB ROM
- 4.4.2 D80220b firmware
- 2G, 3G, 4G working
- The csmg.lgmobile.com website said that according to my IMEI, my model is the UAE 32GB D802 and gave me the D80230a firmware for manual flash via LG Flash tool. (screenshot below)
I used the phone for a while, rooted it and used Xposed. Never got recovery so no backup(wish I'd seen the SRK tool before). Then I downloaded the firmware from the csmg.lgmobile.com website. I flashed it via the Flash tool and everything seemed fine. Then it booted:
- Touchscreen was erratic. Ghost touches, dead spots, phantom touches, whatever.
- The Baseband Version and IMEI in About Phone both say Unknown
- ROM has converted to a 16GB version
- Download mode is fine along with every other feature of the phone
After that I looked around and found a UAE D80220c firmware and flashed that. It flashed fine but all the above issues remained the same.
I browsed around extensively here and found out:
- Refurbished phones have their back cover and firmware changed to imitate D802's.
- My phone is probably some other G2 model with D802 firmware and an altered IMEI
- The actual model of my device is UNDER the motherboard. Which, apparently, I must get hold of so I can flash the appropriate stock kdz. This gets a bit too hardware-y for me.
So, basically, my phone is no more useful than a brick at the moment. Any expert help would be appreciated but here are the main questions that I'd really like answered:
A. Should I try various flashing the kdz files from different models mentioned in the link I gave up ^there until one clicks and then try to do something about the IMEI?
B. Is there any chance that my phone is beyond repair forever?
C. Should I stop messing around with my mediocre knowledge and take it to a repair shop?
I really can't afford to lose this phone so please, if you've stumbled upon this, try to help or forward it to someone who CAN help. I will be very thankful.
Cannot really help you. But look for Frankenphone. There's a thread here.
I would return the phone. That's fraud.
Go by this method.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/help/issues-refurb-d802-32gb-lg-flashed-t3034823
B. I doubt it's beyond repair, it will just take you time and work to figure out what is what and how to get it back to working state. I think everything you need can be found already here, I saw a lot of posts with the similar problems and really hard bricks being solved. Just be patient and good luck.

Possible refurbished G2 D802
Guys i bought an LG G2 D802 from a third party. i tried to install TWRP using AUTOREC for D802. My phone went into a bootloop. Luckily i had made a backup with SRK tool, so my G2 is up and running. I think my phone is refurbished because i have seen other G2's with D802 backcovers in that market but their IMEI no. was D800. My IMEI no. , backcover and software all say D802. I Dont want to open up my phone because it is confusing for me because i know there will be 2 to 3 model no.s written inside it. My question is can i find out my model no. by installing all autorec recoveries for g2 on my phone after making backup on SRK Tool. When i get the TWRP recovery on my phone i will know which model my phone is. Plz people who are expert of SRK tool help me...
Also will my Imei no. stay safe if i backup from srk tool.
I accidentally messed around with my build.prop and mistyped something causing my phone to brick. So the problem atm is I can't even use my phone with messages popping up such as "Unfortunately the process com.android.systemui has stopped working" and "Unfortunately the process Home has stopped working." I tried to factory resetting which didn't work at all. Right now I am trying to fix it through flash but I can't since when I plug my USB into my computer, I can't changed my USB settings to MTP and since the messages shown above keeps popping up preventing me from clicking anything on my screen. Any help would be appreciated!

It is a modernised recovery menu, with easier, touch controls.
Basically a MUST when flashing roms.

Now the only thing you can do is flash the stock rom again with the kdz or tot method.

With the LG PC Suite,LG Flash Tool or the TOT method?

The ATT DLL can be found here. Thank @i2andog for that one.

Thanks to @hyelton, the Sprint TOT can be downloaded here.
Thanks to @i2andog, who gave us the ATT DLL, we have a TOT as well for you ATT folks here.

Honorable MentionsA TWRP backup of all partitions other than /data and /cache, can be found here. It is based off ZV5, and only works for Sprint. If someone would like to contribute an ATT version for future use, upload it and I'll get it in the OP. Rooted is preferred.
I also have the ZV6 FOTA update for Sprint. It can be found here.
An added bonus: A-boot image for ZV6 and also the LS885 partition lists by name and block.
Check this OP regularly for future updates.

Thank you so much!!
Anyway to use the flashtool to unbrick the LS885??
So far, no. We need someone to locate the DLL and things for the FlashTool to work. Have you tried to use fastboot to push the recovery to the unit and using my TWRP backup to restore it? I'm not 100% on whether this unit HAS fastboot, but that could be an option.
As soon as someone is willing to dd their stock recovery we'll have a way to reflash the stock back to the device and try to cover any tracks left behind.

How can i flash the TWRP in download mode?
As far as i know LG doesn't have a fastboot mode.....
I have this device... I 100% hate it due to the fact that the stock os sux more than anything I have ever known... it has 4 cpus, so one would think it would be a little fast, but no... wish someone would compile cm for it... I lack the necessary skills, though I have tried. . there is no device tree for it...
another problem faced with this device is the locked boot loader... although I understand theoretically it can be "bumped", should a Rom become available... I'm glad someone at least is trying to get a thread going tho! this is my first LG and will definitely be my last... but until the lease runs out, I am stuck with it...

The problem is it never installs the drivers to connect again and the flash fails. I'm wondering what I am doing wrong here...

Thanks, I mirrored it on my server just in case.
* U P D A T E * 3/20/2017: @simplesekret provided the needed LGUP_V495.DLL. @Tikerz posted a link to it in Google Drive since @simplesekret wasn't able to post the link. Their posts about it begin at Post # 66. The TOT and DLL are also available here https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=72414.

Old News:
* W A R N I N G *
See posts starting with #29 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67942420&postcount=29, leading us to believe that it's possible that if you're V495 was on stock Marshmallow before it was bricked and before you flashed the UK495 KDZ, that you will likely have serious screen/useability issues. It's indicated that at least from what we can tell so far, if you were on stock Lollipop before bricking and flashing the UK495 KDZ, then the only thing that won't work is mobile data.
Also, you might never be able to flash back to stock V495 and get mobile data working again.

Mostly fix V495 using UK495 KDZ
Just found a .KDZ file for US Cellular UK495 at THIS
Site, Is this the kind of site to trust? Anyone ever heard of it?
Here's a direct link to the >KDZ if anyone wants to check it out:
http://csmgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downloader.dev?fileKey=FWD88JW2327JAMND43620LR/UK49510b_00.kdz
** EDIT** After realizing that this apparently is not the correct file for the 2nd. Gen Gpad F 8.0 I figure I should post, I guess model #'2 don't mean much to phone companies. Don't Know?? Doesnt work, screen resolution / banding display issues after flashing it.

Sorry you had to find out the hard way, that's apparently for the UK495, not V495.

Well, The box says that I have the UK495, the unit lists itself as a UK495 in about phone, and that's whats stamped on the device (FCCID: ZNFUK495), so I don't know which is which.

Huh! Okay, I figured you had the V490 since this thread is for that. (the original thread that these posts were in - I had a moderator move these to their own new thread).
Seems strange that a UK495 KDZ wouldn't work right on it.
Whoa, I just flashed the UK495 on my bricked V495 AT&T and my tablet is now alive! No 4G/LTE but WiFi works fine. I have touch and everything.
Now, how to get back to AT&T SW....
Anyone try to extract the files in the V495 TOT? The system.bin won't extract fully. The entire TOT is 3GB but it only extracts barely anything.

That's wonderful news! That kind of news deserves its own thread in this section to make sure people are aware of it, including the link to the KDZ since I'm sure there are other people out there in the same situation. I just created a new thread.

I'll try and get back to you. I'm trying to find the link to the V495 TOT. I remembered I uploaded a copy to my Android File Host.
I didn't have any luck either, same as you. system only gets partially extracted - there's no errors or anything indicating it didn't complete but it's only an 8KB file.
I'm checking into other tools to extract.
Hmmm, interesting. Guess I never tried 7-Zip on a TOT before. It *might've* worked, it produced much larger files. 2.66 GB for the system.bin. I'll extract one of my own devices' TOTs and compare it to one extracted with the aforementioned tool and see if they're the same.
The LGFirmwareExtract tool doesn't even list some of the partitions. 7-Zip created zero size userdata, grow and cache.img.
I just created a new thread in this section and asked a moderator to move from post #151 on to there, for you guys since this thread is for the V490. I'll continue discussions there. Mostly fix V495 using UK495 KDZ
Of all the extracted UK495 KDZ and V495 TOT partitions, only the sdi partition is the same in both.
Reserved.
what did you flash it with?

Thanks for posting this. I did try the UK495 DLL with the V495 TOT but it wouldn't flash.
On a sad note, I got ahead of myself to try to fix the LTE and decided to flash the V496 KDZ for T-Mobile version and hard bricked my device lmao. DO NOT flash the V496 KDZ!
Glad this might help some folks make the V495 somewhat usable now though stuck on 5.0.2. I was also able to root it.
Using boarddiag 3.99c you can extract the V495 TOT but the files are .MBN files. Not sure what we can do with those yet.
Because of my stupidity, I'm stuck at a hard brick. No display, no download mode. Boarddiag doesn't directly support this model so yet again I have a paperweight.

You're welcome! Yep, another user in another thread had previously tried the V496 KDZ and had the same experience. Even if the screen doesn't show right, if you go through the motions of putting it in Download mode, do the LGE devices show up in the Modem and Port sections? If so, try flashing the UK495 KDZ again.

Nope. It shows QHSUSB_BULK. I installed the HS-USB QDLoader 9008 drivers and tried various unbricking threads/posts and can get it to use that driver but I don't think boarddiag supports our device.

Oh yeah, forgot about extracting with BoardDiag. Thanks. I'll do that tomorrow and confirm if they're the same as what 7-zip extracted.
The file extension doesn't matter. .img/.bin/.mbn you can rename them freely.

Cool I didn't know that. Boarddiag seems to extract them fully. The file sizes make sense.

I'm sure he probably used LG Flash Tool 2014 - as far as I know, that's the only thing we have to flash KDZs except some models of the G3 that can use LGUp.

Hey, not that there's lot of hope for yours, unfortunately, here's a link to a post with a Mega link to an archive of four different versions/variants of BoardDiag. Just thought it would be worth it to try all four just in case. I don't know if you'll actually have to extract the TOT four separate times or just direct each package to the same extraction.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61490625&postcount=442
Also, just double checking, if you installed the driver on a 64-bit Windows, you first disabled driver signing, correct? If not, you want to disable that and then reinstall the drivers.

I think the problem is that the current version of BoardDiag only support certain models. The Gpad II F 8.0 is model T8LTE. The first letter is key. The current version of BoardDiag only has files for and supports B2, D1, F6, G, G2, L3, L5, L7, Nexus5, W3, W7. That's why the G4 people have been screwed for so long. The G4 is model P1 and Boarddiag doesn't support it.

Huh! I wonder if my VK810 "altev" is supported or how I would find out the letter/number I need to check. Thanks!
@xdabbeb has given me some excellent advice and we need to check to see if both the UK495 and V495 partition offsets are the same. If not, then things might get tricky but it would depend on specifics. I'm doing what I can to check the offsets - heavily multitasking at the moment so I'll get back as soon as I can.
Does the V495 have TWRP or another custom recovery available?
