[Q] Verizon G2 vehicle dock - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is anyone using the Verizon vehicle dock for G2 and if so how is it working? Also any other docks available and satisfaction with them. I will have my phone Monday and preparing for it. I am currently using Razr Maxx HD unlocked with the Moto Dock .Hoping to get something that works comparatively. I spend a lot of time in car and use nav extensively. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have been using the Verizon dock for the G2 for almost a month now, and though it is a tight fit with my Quickview case, it has been solid and secure. This dock doesn't have a built-in charging plug like my old Motorola Bionic dock, so the micro USB plug has to be inserted manually. However, the ball and socket mounting point is exactly the same for both docks, so the car mount I made with the Motorola ball & stem attached with JB Weld to a Mountek nGroove CD Slot Universal mount is a perfect fit.

Unofficial Mobile Charging?

Has anyone figured out a solution for unofficial mobile charging? I am presently trying to find some sort of cigarette charging solution so that my portable solar panel can offer me a charge off the grid. The same solution would obviously work in a car too but I don't want to order the official charger from Motorola and Amazon still has the damn thing on preorder.

Motorola Lapdock (for Atrix, can be modded) - $60

Not sure if its been posted or if anyone even cares but here you go.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAP...67&ViewItem=&item=190668198386#ht_2240wt_1396
Ordered one the last time they ran the deal, shipping didn't take long like many people say about them. It was shipped UPS Basic but seemed just as fast as ground. They sent it in a box way too big and it came open sometime during shipping according to UPS. Luckily it wasn't damaged since the Motorola packaging is pretty good.
This isn't the lapdock 100, it's the Atrix 4g lapdock.

[Q] Replacement USB Port & Headphone Jack

I need the small flex circuit under the speakers that has the usb and headphone jacks on it. Mine won't charge via USB no matter what I do. I've checked Google, Amazon and the only one on eBay is a wallet gouging $60.
Image of item I need: http://thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mkrHuqT6sQtxNQXExbNSt7w.jpg
1) Does anyone have a bricked N7 they'd like to sell me the part out of?
2) Does anyone have a source for buying one of these?

You can still charge with the 4 pogo pins to the side.
He would have to pay around 60 for a dock.

[Q] Where to buy replacement USB Port

My 16gb nexus 7 is having trouble charging. I thought it was the charger but even buying a new one did no good nor did any of the several I have around my house. I need to know if anyone knows where I can buy a replacement USB port for my tablet. I can find them on ebay but I can't really the point in spending $50+ for a part for a tablet that is this old. If I buy a Dock for $25 on amazon will I still be able to transfer files and use adb with my computer using the dock. I would assume not because the Dock I used to have for my Nexus S wouldn't interface with my PC for anything other than charging but I haven't used a pogo pin device before.
If I go the dock route is ADB over WIFI reliable enough for regular use?

[Q] el cheapo or Official M$ XBOX 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver

I want to order a wireless gaming receiver to uses 360 controllers on the NP. Anyone have any issues with using a 3rd party receiver or should I go with the official Microsoft version?
el Cheapo

M$

I tried both, no difference
Using a cheap one on my Nexus Player with no issue. Some game don't work well with the xbox360 controller but this has nothing to do with the receiver
I've used a cheap $8 one that i got off eBay, works right out of the box with the NP

Are multiple wireless x360 controllers working on the NP with the wireless adapter?

The official Microsoft Adapter is cheap too. I really wanted the official one, so I paid $50 for a new controller with the adapter. Over time, the adapter worked less and less until it eventually broke. I really wanted the official adapter, and I didn't want to buy it used (if the new one would break like that, imagine a used one), so I coughed up another $50 to get another controller-adapter bundle. On the new one, it still works, but the cable is almost cut, and is holding on for dear life. It stops working from time to time, and I have to be super careful when using it. Moral of the story for anyone listening: save your money. Go el cheapo
