ok so I tried to flash a new rom on my att g2 now all I get is the fastboot error on the top left corner. I'm on twrp 2.6.3.1 so whenever I try the reset option it resets then reboots to the same. I also tried the download mode but it didn't advance at all overnight. I would greatly appreciate any help on how to try and fix it thanks for reading guys.

I don't know if you managed to find the solution to this, but for anyone else out there that hasn't, just download the AutoRec app. Fixes it in seconds and flashes TWRP Recovery.
need help

It's a bootloader issue, for me it was. If you can enter recovery, flash JB Bootloader or KK Bootloader, whatever your rom needs. it worked for me.
Autorec

AutoRec

Thanks for this. I just ended up back on a (brand new, mind you) G2. I've had SO many problems with rooting, recovery, download mode, etc... I have TWRP installed, stock ROM and somehow ended up getting the secure boot error only when entering download mode. My phone was booting, recovery was working, etc - just download mode seemed toasted. AutoRec fixed it - so, thanks for posting this!
I had the same issue, if some of you want to know how I fixed it these steps might help you too...
What you need is :
Any versoin of stock kdz. I used 11a. GET FROM HERE
LG Universal drivers. Get them here
If you have verizon get your driver here
KDZ Flash tool. GET IT HERE
1- Power off your phone completely ... remove battery etc...
2- Plug the UsB cable to your phone and your computer.
3- Hold down volume up and power button and enter in the download mode
4- If you in download mode you can now flash any KDZ file using the method in one of the guide above or find it using google.
after flashing you will have the stock rom installed. I was on 4.2 and for some reason i was not able to root with "ioroot" until i updated to 4.4!
so make sure you are on 4.4 to do the root
later you can install any recovery. I installed autorec.apk and then booted into recovery and flashed latest version of twrp
thats about it.... but don't install MIUI that rom is stupid

have you try vol down + power button ( LG Logo ) then Hold Vol down + Power ? till you get to factory reset ! and power key again will take you back to recovery
WOW! Thank You soooooooooooooo much! I flashed a cloudyg3 backup from VK Rom and got this error but this method worked!
Just download AutoRec and choose to flash TWRP. Worked for me.
Hi Folks,
I had TWRP installed and updated cm11 with a new nightly. I did a wipe cache and restarted. Phone got stuck on the LG screen. I could not get into recovery after this. I then used the LG support tool and flashed using 'Upgrade Recovery' option.
Phone now is stuck on same LG boot screen but now LED flashes also.
Can anyone help? I am really stuck here guys. :crying:
Cheers,
Trev
Log seems to say it worked but still stuck on boot screen.

Did you select 3GQCT instead of CDMA which is selected by default ?
See if you can get into recovery once again.
Some tips: Hold power and down to make device restart, then let go... As soon you see the lg logo hold down and power. Timing is the key. There are sometimes I think I don't have recovery but in reality i do. Its all user error. If that don't work, try get in download mode. And flash zvc tot and get back to the stock.
Sent from my LG-LS980
Do a hard reset. it helped me yesterday. It's just that the hard reset key sequence for KK roms is different than how it was with JB. try to google it because I lost the topic.

Hey,
I'm in the same case but the R&D soft say there is an error. Plus I can't acces the hard reset menu nor recovery...
I can't also see my device on recovery as I only see in the device manager : LGE Android Net USB Serial Port.
And this is like that when I try to boot or when I'm in download mode.. Any help would be great...
PS : I try to make a restore with the LG Mobile Support Tool (the true one) but will only get answer in 6hours (best connection ever!!)...
Edit1 : That worked! I get out of the download mode and let the software do is job and there is new! Now I have to put a pin /password but I don't know which one ^^' ... I've tried to go back in download mode or hard reset mode but it don't work..
Edit2 : I don't get how but I manage to get in download mode. After that I perform a restore to another kdz and now I'm using the factory reset which seems to take a lot of time..
Thanks for the replies folks. Got it sorted out. This seemed to be the only way to get it sorted :

Try searching crdroid thread, someone posted about getting in recovery through physical buttons, many have been using wrong combination of buttons.
Thanks!
thank you for all of your answers guys! i was using wrong button combination,it working fine now
this is the result of using rom manager clockworksmod recovery mode install
it loop forever and i cannot enter in to recovery mode if i connect a adapter to charge it it turns on alone and start looping i can only stop that taking out the Battery if someone knows how to fix this mess plz help me (sorry for my misspelling)
Remove battery and force it into Download mode again by vol- and Power and Home button pushed, then flash something up to date, like https://idlekernel.com/twrp/v6.7.0_2016_01_13/ and then it will work. I think you used the wrong Recovery maybe. Which phone EXACTLY do you have? N9005? N900* (A-Z)
i already done that and worked now is fixed but thank for trying to to help
and thanks to you i got a recovery mode list thanks :good:

Hi,
I have learned a lot from you guys and was able to successfully flash different firmwares on my G950F. Unfortunately, while using Odin my computer crashed and my phone is now stuck on this screen saying [SMD NAD] GOTO NAD TEST -- CURRENT TEST=FACTORY NAD (all in red). I can't change into download or recovery mode to reflash or reset it. In general none of the buttons and combinations seem to change anything.
Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance.
------UPDATE
After a few hours the phone shut down and I was able to go into DL mode.
Let the phone die then charge it and try again

This happened when I flashed a Combination file in A720F; I just waited a minute, then the phone rebooted twice and then it started up.
I thought I was bricked the phone.
