After Rooting : 3g and phone calls not working well - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi . .
i got my note 3 yesterday and it's awesome ,today i installed cf-root with Superuser and the device has been rooted
after rooting i noticed that im receiving messages about misscalls and the 3G notification has disappeared
i tried to restart the phone , worked well for only 10 mins, then the 3G and call problem came back again
after restarting the phone works for only 10-15 mins then stop, even when i try to make a call i wait 10-15 seconds !!
what i have to do now ??
flash new modem or kernel ??

uppppppppppppppp

guys i really need your help . .
i bought the phone yesterday ! !

You could always try modem and csc . I rooted same as you flashed omega and then put my carriers CSC and modem and its great now! Before doing this I was on stock UK btu firmware with a h3g UK contract sim card.

Or you could remove root and flash back to the original stock ROM that came with the phone. Nothing you can do about tripping the Knox counter tho.

I unrooted the phone and reset everything and the problem still exist!!
That really confusing I don't know what to do now . .
Sent from my SM-N900 using xda app-developers app

Possible fix
Try going into settings/ more networks/ mobile networks/ APN. Click menu button then reset APN to default. Reboot and try it
After that you could take out your sim card to see if it is worn.

If the factory image exists for your model reflash it. Use stock for a while to establish a baseline before fudging around with it so when problems arise you'll know if it did or did not occur under stock.

i switched the phone to GSM mode , and it's working properly , but when i choose the dual mode or WCDMA mode the problem comes again . .

[Q] 9505 No signal at all after flashing stock rom ..HELP

Hi I am from Israel, I have a Galaxy S 4 Model 9505 ..
Recently I downloaded version from sammobile .. and flashed it on the device , problems occur simply no reception and I have listed the top status bar just a circle with a diagonal line ..
For the avoidance of doubt the IMEI is ok, the device detects the SIM card and network.
Things I tried to do:
Flash modem according to the guide.
Flash the rom again
Change APN settings
Checked the sim on another device .. the sim is work fine.
What do I do next? Nothing I do is not helping!!!
Factory reset and flash again

Download latest KIES 3 from Samsungs website. Install it, restart PC. Plug in your S4 let install all drivers then click on Tools and choose Emergency recovery.
When I had issues in the past with my Samsung smartphones whis always helped me out.
After instalation finish, turn On your phone and let it boot up. DO NOT set it up, just do hard reset. You should be ok then.

You can use Wanam Xposed module to fake your device status. There are other Xposed modules that also does this. At first I thought this was only a cosmetic information, but it actually tricks the system and the OTA really work. It worked for me.

Has anyone tried this and had success. I'm hesitant to try it on my N910U
If there is a new firmware, you can simply download it on pc from a repository, flash via odin and reroot.

Me too. Wanam only make you able to download the update, but cannot install.
I have to install via Odin.
Actually I use this trick only to be alerted when something new is available. I flash it using ODIN.

Hmm. Now the only firmware updates I see for my N910U is a 4.4.4 and I'm already running 4.4.4 so why does my phone say there is an update?
What fw r u on?

I am under custom recovery and i believe that the reason OTA update fail even fake the status.
Anyway to revert to stock recovery?
I don't like Kies, but sometimes I have to use it to check if there's an update, and if it finds one, it will install it for you but you have to reroot afterwards. I think this is the only method if you're rooted.
@Andrewtst, I had a Note 3 with custom recovery (CWM), and when I was one firmware behind, Kies prompted me for an update and after I updated it I got the stock recovery back. Don't know if this is the case with the Note 4, will try when there's an update for my Note 4.

The modem you are using is from lollipop so that the network will not be fully working.
You have better to flash the latest version of official lollipop rom.
If the problem still install this modem by odin
https://idlekernel.com/flash-tools/.../N9005XXUGBOK4/CP_N9005XXUGBOK4_MODEM.tar.md5
But the most important thing to flash the latest official lollipop firmware.

Pick the latest 3.10.7

Not really sure what you are looking for, I assume you are looking for a custom recovery. There are no custom recoveries available that I know of as of yet. Development for the Note 3 has mostly ended so I doubt we'll see any other options even with the latest interest due to the root exploit from Yemen. The only option for now is FlashFire which isn't a recovery at all but it's an APP. FlashFire can do many functions of a custom recovery such as backup/restore, full wipe and flashing ROMs. FF must be run on the OS so you have no options for recovering if there is a problem booting.
If you are just looking for the factory recovery then you can find it here

Or you can find the full factory firmwares here
With the problem you're having I'd try just reflashing the same firmware version again. If that doesn't do it, I'd do a full wipe and factory reset then reflash and root using the recent methods available

try 5.1 but no thing . same problem
