Such requests should not be posted under the development forum.
Use the general section for posting such things.
We appreciate your understanding, thank you.
Edit:
We already have a similar ROM, here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1441462 .
^^And better I think....check it out its worth your time.

Which Android Development forum to use?

Hi, I have the international version of the GS3, and I see that we have different forums for each carrier, together with an "original" version for each one as well. Could someone explain which one should I look at and what this original one means?
thanks
Emerson
The following applies to the Original Android Development section:
"This is meant for the newest roms ie: aosp, cm, aokp source builds. Kernels from source also. If you are porting a rom, it belongs in the normal development section, not here. Stock, I repeat stock roms; ones from Samsung themselves as in new versions; can go here.
Also for this section. Roms an kernels that bring forth something revolutionary that other roms do not have."

There is a separate forum for the international Galaxy S III.

leaked firmware

what leaked Rom should i go for aokp jb aosp aokp jb milestone 1 out of them what is the best Rom to go for and if there is any other Rom that look like nexus jb and is better Ron let me know sorry for my bad English
You need to read some more.... none of those are leaked firmwares.... Also asking which one you should go with is my allowed. Test them out for yourself. And everyone else who reads this thread. Don't give him answers to which is the 'best'. There isn't a best ROM.

All the Roms are good because someone has taken time and alot of effort to make them, No Such Thing as The Best Rom
Everyone has different preferences so the choice is entirely up to you.
Common sense & research will give you the answer you need, and remember without the dev's there would be no Rom's
:good:
Use the search function and read about all the ROM available and their current state to find what you want.
I'll be kind to get you started, check out this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1943391 and read the first few posts (see if you like all the features the ROM has). It's a mix of AOKP, AOSP (CM10) and ParanoidAndroid settings to have per app dpi, follow the steps to flash it if you like what you see.
Note: There are lots of polished ROMs out there but I'm using it and I like it, so it all goes down to your preferences in the end
Wasn't this locked?

Building a rom from source and adding features?

So I recently got into compiling ROMs from source. CM12.1 specifically. Thanks to cm's wiki page I managed to get a full unofficial build of cm12.1 zipped up.
But I don't want just stock cm12.1 I'd like to add custom features. Some of these features are from PAC rom and some from aokp. Some are from aicp rom.
Basically, I'm sick of ROMs having either too much or not enough, so I'd like to pick and chose exactly what initially gets installed.
The only problem I am having is that there aren't that many guides for extracting features from other ROMs, unless I am overlooking them.
Please help by pointing me in the right direction... An xda guide, a YouTube video, anything. Remember, I can already sync and compile. I'm just looking for help grabbing / cherry picking certain features.

Typically, you would cherry-pick an addition to android_frameworks_base and android_apps_packages_Settings.
If you are just starting out, you will want to have a look at general guides on github and git in general.
For android-specific stuff, it's a good idea to see how cm-based ROMs, like temasek, CM-remix and Resurrection Remix add features, and then copy the ones you like.
After you get the hang of it, it's quite straigth-forward and fun.
I've been doing what you want to do since 4.2, and it's been a blast.
Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions on how to include specific features.

Hey thanks for the response and your willingness to help.
Let me do some more research on git before I ask questions.

How many developers working on Ascend XT?

I know there is Custom Rom thread but it's kinda outdated and most devs updates are spread into different threads.
But my main question is:
Who are currently working on custom roms?
Which version and base? RR, Lineage, MM or Nougat etc....
Obviously it will not ask any ETA... Im patiently waiting for any rom not stock based. And hope the best for the devs can complete the task.

Not the same... i was asking what was going on with custom roms because there was no sign of active developments.
Now the question is: how many are working on it and their status.
