[Q] Need latest deodexed rom with macedonian language support - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubl

I had need latest deodexed rom with macedonian language support. I need it to be deodexed to be able to apply some mods. And also need the mk support because i am from Macedonia and want my phone to be in macedonian language.

Just deodex your own stock rom from your country to get the language support you want
Search for various guides on how to deodex but I just extract the system into a tar file & load into kitchen to deodex
You will find guides for Android kitchen & deodexing if you search

Again you can do this with android kitchen but you make a cwm zip - basically you are making the beginning of a custom rom but just deodexing stock rom and then creating a cwm flashable zip
Much better to learn and do it yourself - I doubt anyone here will have to time to bother doing it all for you
Follow method two of this guide to create a working folder for kitchen once you have it installed

I'm not sure what did you mean by "language files". Before the expert -- capychimp, answer your question, you might want to try the followings:
1. go grab a copy of Rogers Magic stock 2.1 rom with root.
2. go grab a copy of RCMagic v2.0
3. use kitchen to create a working directory based on stock 2.1 rom
4. deodex all apk files
5. extract RCMagic v2.0
6. compare any apk file in /system/app/ or /system/framework/ (one from kitchen's working directory and another from RCMagic v2.0)
7. let's assume that A.apk from kitchen is renamed as stock-A.apk and A.apk from RCMagic is rename as RC-A.apk
8. use apktool to decode both apk files
9. after decoding, check out stock-A/res/values* and RC-A/res/values*. As far as I know, values/* are for English and, take zh_TW (Traditional Chinese) as an example, values-zh-rTW/* are for Traditional Chinese.
So, I guess you can create a values-XXXX for your language code and put whatever needed into values-XXXX/*

to make it easier, you have 84 apks you need to decode to make a full sense rom multilanguage
Google has some good resources on this topic. I can't find them right now but I am finding some interesting stuff.
http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/resources/localization.html
http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/web/localizing-android-apps-draft
well thats the apks thats the same for all roms, but how to activate them on aosp no idea, cause in sense you do it in CID/default.xml
I have an Hebrew apk, I unpacked it using apktool.
I got the Hebrew xml file, so I think I'm set, but to translate 84 apk's to make a full Hebrew Android, WOW that's alot !!!
I've attached a flashable ZIP with apk's in Hebrew (I didn't do it).
Is this the only whey to translate Android, or is there a EZer way to do it ?
p.s. thanks for the reply and help...
i am working on a script so you can just unpack a rom, and by menu select to make it ml
well i see you have some of it, but still alot to go
and you would need the rtl support in framework.jar also
In Froyo with a little help from a guide I get RTL in Internet and SMS.
So I think I have full RTL...
Tell me which files do I need to translate and we will work together on this...
O.K, I have the .xml files that I need to translate.
I know there is a program for translating file.po (value on one side and translation on the other side)
But is there a program like that for file.xml ?

Kan you please tell me how you did? i have the same problem with mine
search for a cab called oslangnl.cab or something that looks like it, install it and you can flash back to the DUTCH stock rom, if your stock rom has a different language this doesn't help you..
i can help
you can use toolsbyanper.exe to dump the original rom. you have to download barin's kitchen and get the tool from it because anper's site seem to be down.
you can search this forum but if you're lazy, just pm me your email and ill mail you the stuff. you only need the 3.x hacked RUU and also download your official rom (your language) from acer.
the rest i'll email to you.
Flash back to Original Rom
This is very simple !
Acer will verify that the system language mach the language of the updating ROM... So, if you want to update an NL Rom to an existing EN system, it will refuse to execute it...
The trick is to modify one registry in order to make ACER think that you've installed your system in the disered language (here Dutch or NL)
So grab a Registry editor and modify HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\ACER\SystemInfo\Software\Language from "EN" to "NL" ... then flash to stock ROM...
I can also provide you a CAB if desired ...
Worked great with me when I did the same from EN to FR ...
Good luck

[Q] Is there any option to put language from one stock rom to other?

Hello there. I used stock GB JW4 rom for europe, but it seems that it got some bugs. Anyways there are newer versions of stock GB roms, but I wanna know can i somehow put Serbian language from JW4 to some other such as JW6 or other stock, since JW4 is only one with Serbian language in it? Thanks for answer.
Yes.
Decompile most system/app apks and framework-res.apk + tw-framework.apk in source.
Pick serbian translation res xml files.
Decompile identical apks in target.
Copy translated res xml.
Compile.
... a tiny bit easier to work with de-odexed apks
The next natural question would be:
Why Android - built on Linux platform, didn't implement methods to handle multilang. used waaaay back in Linux and Windows (vista/7)?
Thanks a lot for answer, and im happy that I can get my language. But i dont really understand what you said. Is there any easier way to explain? From where i should decomile etc? Sorry for troubles, but I really dont understand

Need help making a rom.

Hi!
I wanna make a rom using the stock rom resources.
So I got myself Ubuntu(kept Windows too) and downloaded dsixda's Android Kitchen. I extracted stock rom and put it into the work folder, deodexed framework and other apps, zipaligned the apps, added few tweaks in the build.prop. Then built the rom and tried to flash it in TWRP recovery. It didnt install. Got the log also: http://pastebin.com/6FSDf4Nv . What is the problem and how to fix it? (I'm a noobish starter and sorry for my horrible english.). Help would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
