[Q] How do I root 2.3.4?

Can someone please tell me an easy way to root 2.3.4
I just upgraded the firmware and have no idea how to root this version.

i bought samsung galaxy s today..
i need to root it ..
firmware version is 2.2
model number. i9000
basband version is i900DXJPB..
I TRIED THROUGH SUPER ONE CLICK ROOT AND Z4ROOT .. BUT NO LUCK!!! CAN ANYONE HELP ME ?? I WANT HELP DESPARATELY!

If you can't find a cf-root to work with your fw (check it out here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108) you can try to flash another fw on which cf-root works.

i tried to root my device but is not rooting. . .i want to flash Imilika's Ics Aosp. .
My kernel version is DDLA5. .There is no CF-root kernel for my version. . Please help me !!

You need to downgrade first, LA5 is non rootable

****sx, you won't be able to use DooMLoRD's or SuperOneClick method with OS Version 2.3.6. You need to downgrade to a rootable version first and then root and update. Follow this guide and you will have no issues at all:

Post #2 and point 1.3...that is what u have to do. It is easy and direct. Then u can revert to your current OS version and flash a CF Kernel...hope it helps...:good:

AFAIK there's currently no method to root. The update came out just days ago, give the experts some time to create exploits
