Hi everyone,
I have the no loading/no starting issue with my N7. A couple months ago is send my N7 back because I couldn't start it anymore. After 2 weeks I received it back, telling me that there was nothing wrong with it. I found it was factory reset and since then, it starts without no problem.
Now since a couple weeks I randomly can't load it anymore. I tried everything, also factory reset and that helped for me. I did the reset and didn't install anything. That worked a while, but now I have the problem again. When I put it on the charger, the battery icon shows it's charging, but the battery percentage is decreasing. Somethimes it will charge at 100%, but it takes 2 days or so, and somethimes it won't charge at all...
I prefer not to send it back again because I think they will do a factory reset and say it's fine. So I did look it up on the forum and removed the back to look at the battery connector. I found it was well placed and allready have a sticker on it the hold it in place. But when I turned it over a little gold piece fell out, as shown marked in the first picture.
Is it possible that it needs to be where the 2 red circles are on the right side, on the second picture? Because it matches the 2 circles on the left side and what is it purpose, The tablet works fine otherwise and I can't find any other faults...
Thanks in advance for helping me out
Those two missing tabs are the connections to the NFC antenna inside the backcover. I doubt that they will in any way affect charging but where the broken connector(s?) were inside the case could do
ok thanks, now i have a reason to send it back, they can't say its ok and just did a reset

All- I've tried to search the forum but no luck for my situation. Today I had been using my 8528 just fine. I opened the phone to start a txt message but the screen backlisght went off and the items on the screen got small lines running thru them. I tried a soft reset at the time but it didn't reset. I then removed the battery but the artifacts on the screen remained. i replaced the battery but it owuld not turn on. I tried another soft reset but nothing. i took the battery out for several minutes and then tried again, nothing. I plugged it into the wall charger but nothing lit up and it would not power on..... what the hell is going on??? thanks!
Mine did the same, just gave it a hard wack in the palm of my hand and the screen came back on ...... at your own risk.
Other than that it has been bullet proof .... lol

We don't say "hard whack" here we say "scientific tap"
Essentially, if it's a slack or slightly oxidised contact then a "scientific tap" may work, otherwise it's dismantke and extract and re-seat all the connectors. (assuming you don't have a Warranty,if you do, then use it!)

looks like one of the screen slider retaining screws came loose and probably shorted something out. I took it apart and looked around but didn't smell anything funny. I put it back together but still no luck.... the screw short is the only thing i can think of.....???
mine did the same exact thing yesterday.
i tried all the "white screen" fixes I can find.
I will be upgrading to a newer faster phone now ...
After only 2 days the phone froze. After soft reset the touchscreen and the front 4 buttons stopped responding. Tried several hard resets with no luck. I left the battery out for several hours, which let me finish the calibration process. The touchscreen worked for about 30 seconds, now it's dead again.
It's running the stock Dutch rom. Provider says they can't replace it and repairs can take up to 4 weeks.
Is there anything else that can be done before I send it back?
I don't think you have other options... if you have done a hard reset and still not working, send it back.
I figured i'd try to turn it on one more time before sending it back... what do you know, it works better than ever now (for 1h at least). This thing is driving me crazy.
Does anyone with more knowledge about touchscreens have any idea what might cause the part that's detecting the taps malfunction for a period of time and then fix itself?
I have another problem, I can see the sensors of the touchscreen (they should not be visible) even when screen is turned on. It affects image quality, because I see small green dots when I have a white background, it looks like dust and when I try to remove it, I realize it's not dust...
Still don't know if I should send it to the service, because it would take 4 weeks and I don't know how the world-warrant works. Hope you can resolve your issue or have a better tech.support near you.
I bought the Qtek 9100 from a seller on ebay who listed it as faulty due to not booting..
I assumed it was most likely the battery, So I ordered it, cleaned it up a bit, waited a whole MONTH for the battery to arrive (Damn you customs! haha), charged it, And whoop, it turned on.. Kinda..
It showed the O2 boot logo, then suddenly the screen started showing this very bizarre set of lines almost as if the ribbon was broken.. this however couldn't be the case, as the O2 logo was displayed fine, and opening and closing it didn't affect the screen..
So now.. Having booted it and had it crash before even loading windows, it refuses to turn back on, So I attempted every trick to hard reset it.. No luck
The only luck I've had, is holding the power button down for 30 seconds with the battery removed, and putting it back in for it to complete the above syptom.
I'm assuming as it boots the logo perfectly fine, it's not the battery (it's brand new, and is charged from a separate charging facility) Not the screen either.. So, It's got to be something else? :S
I'm trying to put as much information possible as to get the most informed solution to my problem :/
I'd truly love a solution for this as I've spent the remainder of my money on this phone (only a student) and really require a working phone soon.
Thank you so very much , PLEASE HELP! D:
Thanks guys lul

plese forgive me for my bad english but i hope you understand what i try to say! i have 2 qtek 9100 with the same problem! i i resolve the problem in one way at both of the phones! i disassemble the phone on the location of the display screen and there is 2 integrated circuit boards and between them i put a piece of paper and at the bottom of the screen one horizontal piece it seems that was the problem integrated plates touching each other is that the phone was disassemble before! i hope this information will help you !
Hello, I am on the Android L preview and recently had to replace the back cover due to the glass breaking. While I was in there, I pried up in the wrong spot and cut the gsm/3g antenna that is attached to the loud speaker. I replaced that and in the process discovered that the wire antenna as almost falling apart too, so I ordered one and replaced that. I am fairly confident that I did not mess anything else in the process, however, my phone has not been working well since. The phone will be fine, unless I use the 3g connection. SMS and voice do not seem to have any affect, however, if I use the browser for more than 2 min, the phone will randomly cut out my 3g/gsm signal and then it will come back and continue to do this for a few min until the phone shuts off. When I boot into TWM recovery, the only thing strange that I notice is that my battery would go from 80% when the phone was on to 1% in recovery, until the phone will appear to have 0% and not boot on (as if it truly had no battery). The strange thing is, the phone will boot back up if I leave it alone for a little while without putting it back on the charger. I have completely wiped my phone, locked it, restore to stock, re-rooted and unlocked and flashed my rom (5.0 preview). This has not changed anything.
I finally was able to capture a bug report. I have no idea how to read it though. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.
I have attached the bug report.
Thank you!
Hello dear community,
I'm posting there because I have some doubts about my phone and i'd like some answers from you.
1 month ago, I was charging my phone. When it reached 100% battery, It was fine but the problem is when I was trying to press "power" to turn it on but It didn't want to. So, I removed the battery because I couldn't even turn it off. When I tried to restart it again, it didn't want to. No reaction to the "power" button.
I followed EVERY tips on Google but none worked. I also tried to change my battery but nothing. I tried also to connect it to my computer, it was detected but my phone didn't turn on.
So, I guess my phone is dead unless if there is a solution to make it working? Also before that, my phone was becoming very laggy and when it had a small lag, it was turning off and was rebooting.
Thank you in advance for your answers.

I have mustered some conclusions about your phone based on what you typed:
1st claim: The power button no longer works anymore
•Reason: "... when I was trying to press "power" to turn it on... it didn't want to... When I tried to restart it again, it didn't want to. No reaction to the "power" button."
—Seems like you're gonna have to find another Note 4 and replace its motherboard with the Note 4 whose power button doesn't work anymore after 5 years.
But before spending, I would like you to try this method from a Youtube comment:
"... you'll just have to keep the charger [cable connected] on [your phone] while you take off the battery, and put it back after; then, remove the charger quickly..."
—————
2nd claim: The screen no longer works
•Reason: "I tried also to connect it to my computer, it was detected but my phone didn't turn on."
—If the phone is charged, seeing nothing but blackness, but you still see an emitting LED light on the top-left corner, that's a sign that it still works, just not the screen. So I would suggest that you buy a new screen and replace it with your old one. If you think you can't, then go to a phone repair shop and let others do the repairing.
—————
3rd claim: The motherboard is dead
•Reason: "... before that, my phone was becoming very laggy and when it had a small lag, it was turning off and was rebooting."
—The motherboard might be dead if these are happening, but I don't think this is the right reason unless the first two conclusions are proven to be true. If the first two conclusions are proven to be false, then the motherboard is dead, and you may either buy another Note 4 motherboard or get a new phone.

Thank you for your answer.
To answer you clearly about all the points you clarified, there is no led light appearing when putting it on charge and I also tried the "Youtube comment" but nothing.
So I think, the motherboard is dead as you mentioned. I just don't understand how it died after a charge but as I saw on Google, it's a general problem on Galaxy Note 4, so I think i'm not surprised at all. It's been since 2015 I had it.
Thank you for your time and to have solved my doubts about the death about my phone.

Put in cold fridge for 30 min without battery, then try to turn it on. If not, try the cardboard method under the emmc chip (search youtube)

Is this a serious thing ? (fridge)
I did the oven trick on my n910t. I left my phone stuck in the grill of my truck when I changed the brakes. I took it for a test drive and ended up running over the phone. Me being a noob at the time didn't know the AT&T Note 4 would not unlock Bootloader for custom roms or custom recoveries. I purchased the AT&T Note and was sorely disappointed there after. Flash 2019 I still have the motherboard for my note that I ran over. I can only get in to go into download mode and only when it was plugged in. I flash custom ROM or custom recovery and it would say would pass but it would just boot loop and boot loop. So I read somewhere where you can put it in the oven for around 5 to 6 minutes at about 200° and that it would settle any of the cracked solder that be around the emmc or anywhere else on the board. So I tried it. I stuck it in two different times at five minutes a piece, pull the board out and let it set for a day. I installed the board just a little while ago and she fired right up. It's amazing
I've recently replaced the motherboard on my N910F with a used one bought from AliExpress. As it's used I've no idea how long it will last but for £30 was worth a try.
It was pretty straightforward replacing the motherboard using one of the tear down guides on YouTube.
