Does anyone know where I can get the N900 Stock firmware and Recovery from someone where other than Hotfile? Whenever I try to download from there it either takes hours to download or will not download at all.

Hotfile limits the speed of the download as they want members to register. I would suggest creating a Pcloud account or use your existing GMail account to sign into Pcloud and this will allow you to download it to your hosting server within minutes. Once on Pcloud, you can download to your PC but even with a fast ISP connection, you're still looking at 30 minutes as this site also limits download bandwidth.
If you let me know what file you want, I can set it up on my FTP site and you can download from me. Problem is, it will still take me 35 minutes to set it up which is the same amount of time it would take you to download so that's really your call.

Is there a posible to check e-mail automatic?
With a PC that is posible but i can noy find this on the Artemis.
Perhaps a idea for a software dev. so he check mail every .. minuts and switch off and on.

Hello there,
Yes you can. I have my Artemis set to check and download new emails every 30 minutes from my Hotmail account.
But I had to use 2 software for this.
First I had to use HTTPMail Provider which enables you to check for HTTP mails such as Hotmail.
And secondly I had to use a software called GB-Soft Tweak which disconnects the GPRS as soon as HTTPMail has finished downloading messages.
GB-Soft, after a set amount of time, also disconnects GPRS if you are browsing the net etc.
Its perfect and I couldn't ask for anything more as far as email is concerned.
I used MSN Live for PPC and its good but when downloading email messages with an attachment more than 1 MB, it would time out and display an error.
Hope this helps. If you need more help then PM me and I will be glad to help. I remember when I was desperately looking for a solution to this a few months ago.
PS: If you intend to download messages from a pop3 account such as Gmail and not HTTP then you don't need HTTPMail Provider. In fact you don't need anything. All you have to do is open MESSAGES,MENU,TOOLS,OPTIONS and then select the account you wish to change, then keep selecting OK, until you get to SERVER INFORMATION, here you will see OPTIONS. Click on it and then tick the box where it says CONNECT AND CHECK FOR MESSAGES EVERY: and here you can specify a period of time after which it should connect and download your messages.
I would still recommend GB-Soft Tweak as this is still needed to automatically disconnect from GPRS once pocket outlook has finished checking for messages.

Otherwise your phone bill will be very high...
Yes phone bill will be very high if you dont have an unlimited internet plan from your mobile operator plus leaving GPRS on wastes battery!

Do you have Hotmail Plus setup? (where you pay per year) because i have set up httpmail provider and Poutlook like you said and i get a error saying Payment Required?

I m new to my Tmobile G2 touch.....Just unlocked my phone via operator code....One of my friend was playing with my phone...He tries some wrong patterens to my phone and phone get blocked....Now its asking for gmail account....I have gmail account but unfortunately i don't know how to connect to internet via gprs as phone not giving any option to enter my gprs setting....
So can anyone tell me is there any way to bypass it or enter gprs settings to connect it to internet to activate it....?????

I think that internet connection is not needed, as gmail password is already stored somewhere inside the software (assuming you have already set up your gmail account). You can also try to reinstall the official firmware.

I have upgrade it also but its in same condition....I think after updating the old data(gmail account) already washed out....Its now not even accepting any gmail account....I think the phone need internet connection...How to connect to internet???thats the question.....

Yes, may even be talking about having a remote desktop account, just rdp in, download files from wherever, and instantly they're available in your directory, much faster than uploading (sometimes) especially if they're already on megaupload somewhere.

Odd question you may say. I also have a file hosting site, click my sig, it generates around 50GB+ of traffic per day. If this was running off my home server I'd hit my monthly data cap in just a day.
I wouldn't want you to incur any charges from your ISP.
Other than that, I applaud your generosity.

I know what your saying, i own my own company, use a business isp, and its uncapped.. which is good... running all from my home. this is currently on a win 7 pc, but moving to a dedicated server which is also being built at home. Its a IBM/Custom stacked system. which will give pretty much 100% uptime and have a much better designed hosted website...

Seeing as how megaupload is gone, I have a web server with 375 gigs of space and 5 tb of transfer a month at a tier 1 data center i used less than a gig a month on both storage and transfer. I would have no problem hosting development related files, send me a PM if you are interested.
May not be necessary right now since there are numerous other sites (filesonic, mediafire, depositfiles, etc) but who knows how long it will be until those are gone as well.

Pulic Upload here is a link for a dropbox on my web server if anyone is interested, my ISP wont allow me to upload more than 250 megs through a PHP script, so that stinks, I however do NOT have restrictions on FTP size limits if you have something bigger than 250 megs i will set you up with an FTP account. I was getting 1MB a second upload from my comcast connection at my house through the PHP script so not too shabby there. once the file is uploaded it will generate you a link that you can post.
