[Q] Lost the 4G symbol in status bar, how do I get it back?

Just got phone yesterday, while checking it out somehow removed 4G symbol and something else from status bar.
We have some LTE in area and I want to see if its connecting and if I can get 4G with this phone. Didn't get 4G with Epic Touch.

Can you explain to us what you might have done to remove the 4G icon and the other item? Unless you unchecked the option in settings to use 4G? Are you rooted? Need more info.

The E4GT had 4g wimax not LTE. So it doesn't matter if you were able to get 4g with the E4GT, the S4 uses LTE so that's all you need to get 4g. Most places don't have LTE so it depends if you have it in your area or not.

I've found that the LTE in my area sometimes goes in and out. Its more integrated into this phone than wimax so it will appear next to the signal strength bars.

Thnaks all, phone is stock non rooted at this point until I play with it a little longer.
I guess I didn't delete any symbols, just thought I had. Somehow got status bar symbols in a list and when I accidentally moved my hand from center to right side of screen it looked like a symbol disappeared from the list.
So please just confirm what I think I know now is that there isn't a status bar symbol for 4G or LTE on the Sprint Galaxy S4. Or does a 4G symbol show up in the status bar when it connects to 4G or LTE?

What are you saying? I'm a little confused. The S4 does not have wimax at all, it only has LTE. If you see 4g in your status bar it means you are getting are LTE signal only.

Go to sprint.com/coverage - enter your address there, go to the data tab, select your device, and look for "Sprint 4G LTE" coverage (not "Sprint 4G WIMAX")
If it shows coverage (orange color I think), you "should" have 4G LTE coverage (note that I said "should" because Sprint apparently indicates 4G LTE even in areas that they currently don't have full LTE coverage. Even if they have one LTE enabled tower in that area, they will mark it as LTE - your phone may find a different tower nearby that is NOT LTE enabled, and so, may not connect to LTE. Sprint indicates that they play to have coverage in those areas soon - no ETA. I speak from personal experience - after a complaint to the FCC)

Yes....when you are connected to LTE there is a 4G icon that does show up in the statusbar just like it does with 3G..

I was trying to compare 4g lte to wimax. I came from the Evo 4g so I understand the confusion

Removing % sign

Hi does anyone no how to remove the % sign that shows in the status bar next to the battery? If anyone does can you please show me..thanks

settings -> my device -> display -> display battery percentage

I believe the op meant ti remove only the percentage symbol, i dont know how you can do that though

Yeah thats right actually remove the % symbol..also anyone no how to edit the in and out arrows and the h, h+ 3g symbols so they look the same as aosp? Thanks in advance again

Hi,
Look HERE

You can try a program called ROM Toolbox. It will give you the options to change any icon on your task bar. It also has boot logos and other stuff but i think your phone has to be rooted to use it.

Thanks for the replys guys but im trying to make an xposed mod..so I litterally need a guide to remove the actual % sign..and mod the data signals too

[Q] Verizon LG G2

Hello! I am curious on a feater of the LG G2 im heartset on it and my only concern is that you cannot get the brightness toggle in your notification bar? I am aware that the ATT version and international have it out of the box and was curious if there is an option anywhere in the phone to activate it on the verizon G2?

Can some one help me change the stats bar icons (4g,3g) for ones like t mobile or at&t?

Is there any way to lock the Note 3 to Lte mode only? Advance Signal status and viaero toggle only give me black screen or crash. Anyway to fix this?

I'm not sure, but if yes, you can't receive or make calls with only LTE

I'm not sure if any carrier has voice over LTE yet. ATT just started testing it on some Samsung devices.

Yes im aware about that, i just want the LTe only mode for data only. Lte/wcdma/gsm automatic mode drains my battery too much :crying:

Yes i tried all the apps from playstore, nothing works, just a force stop or black screen error. idk why.

It is not possible without root. With root then 4G toggle can work.

I'm already rooted. Still not working. I also cannot enter Service mode using dial app. Strange.
