apn settings in stock mms apk - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Where are the APN settings in the stock MMS apk located? I'm trying to port the all black MMS from the international version. I have SMS working, but MMS won't work. What file needs to be added/modified? Thanks.

I'll see whats what and I'll report back.

I'm not sure on 4.4.2 because I'm not using it.
But on Android 2.3.x it also auto activate 3G connection to download an MMS.
So do you want to activate 3G connection automatically for MMS on 4.4.2, right?

I think you can download adblock plus apk from their site. Then go to your network settings and change the proxy for your APN to localhost and port 2020. You might need to create a new APN and copy over the settings since they won't let you edit the original APN
edit: I just did this on my T-mobile S5. Installled Adblock plus from https://adblockplus.org/en/android-install
Made a new APN and copied over the settings (original APN couldn't be updated). Then added localhost to proxy name and 2020 to proxy port. No ads anymore. No root needed

if u set proxy, unable to connect wifi at all.. not working
Thanks for the info. However, I followed the steps you listed.. It didn't do any harm to my note 3.. But I'm still getting the same ads when using showbox (that was my reason for wanting to block ads). Anyone know what the issue is?
Thanks

[Q] MMS pictures/group text not working with Goldeneye KK 4.4.2 v 29

Hi,
I recently installed Goldeneye KK 4.4.2 v 29 ROM on my phone and love it. After about a week of use, I tried to send a group text message through the stock messaging app. It failed to send. I switched to SMS on Hangouts and it still didn't send the MMS. After doing some searching, I saw that Goldeneye ROM has disabled SMS 2 MMS but didn't see any specific solutions in the thread. My understanding was that the SMS 2 MMS was disabled in order to prevent messages with emojis from converting to MMS. So my questions are then:
Was this feature just an apk in the original stock ROM? If it was just an apk, is it possible to reactivate this SMS 2 MMS feature by manually installing the correct apk? Or was it disabled in some more in depth altering of the stock ROM? I have tried installing some stock MMS.apk files but ended up getting "x App not installed".
If there isn't a simple apk or other fix, are there any specific MMS apps to send with?
I also uninstalled a few of the Samsung features with Titanium backup. They all seemed like extraneous features, but are any Samsung applications responsible for allowing MMS sending that I might have uninstalled?
Should I just use a different ROM?
Thanks for any help!
Just changed to Skyfall ROM.
