Hi guy, wich version of 2014?
Did you disable sense before installing?
Umm...
It's the one in the apps forum, in the thread dedicated to finding the solution to the freeze
1.5 20142622
I DID disable b4 installing
The problem you had with MMS is be cause a new installation of Messaging Cilent will wipe out the MMS -connection settings. Run the connection setup (Manager) again, and you'll be fine about the MMS. Don't know what you can do for Sense tou...
Dope...
I'll see whats what and I'll report back.

So the message counter is working again, haven't checked the MMS yet. I would uninstall again and check the counter for research purposes...but I'm too lazy..

Hello,
I have posted my question in another thread, but I am aware that it is not really relevant to the topic of the thread. So I've decided to create a new post.
So recently I chose to upgrade the little android to cyanogen. I followed the wiki and it worked.
Did I say it worked ? well ... not exactly.
It seems to work. I can browse the android Market, I can click on "Install", but then, the download is stuck.
It doesn't want to download it. I've a "waiting to begin" with a gray progress bar, but that's all.
Same problem with Gtalk. I can launnch, but don't think about connecting. It simply doesn't work.
What did I miss ?
Thank you very much.
For the android market just cancel the installation and start over again.

I think I've tried this.
To be more precise, I'm from France, maybe my problem can be linked to that ?...
I've tried all I possibly can do :
_ Reinstall cyanogen 2 times
_ Cancel/ redownload applications
_ Try to download via Wifi, 2G, 3G
Please help !
Thanks
Head into 'Setting | Applications' and clear out the data for 'Google Apps', now you have to set up a new account for your phone, do that through 3g NOT wifi and then make your first download with 3g. This might work and if it doesn't clear out the data for 'Google Apps' again, create a totally new account (still only 3g) head into the market try downloading a application, if it works, clear out the data for 'Google Apps' again and use your regular account.
Hope one of the methods it works sometimes with market problems with 'Sense' roms.

Info:
Running DamageControl v1.0
Just updated radio from Geekfor.me
After updating the radio my Handcent wouldn't let me open any conversations but would pull up the Conversations List just fine. When I click a convo it force closes. The stock Messages app won't open correctly, I just get a endless loading circle. I can still receive and even send messages via the handcent pop-up.
Another thing to know: I was running Gumbo (Android 1.5 based) a few days ago and backed up all my sms messages via Kitchen 1.04. Yesterday I installed DCv1 and then restored my messages via Kitchen but it they didn't show up. I kind of expected this because kitchen doesn't support 2.1. After updating to the latest radio baseband 2.x.x.x.x.x from Fresh the messages appear in the list (in Handcent) but I can't open them as I stated above.
cleared all the caches and data from handcent. Can't do any of that stuff for Messages app. don't know whats goin on. Also did the UID mismatch thing and that was no help.
Help please.
i am coming across from a rooted G1, i had about 160 apps i have managed to get most restored with mybackpro but have had market issues since i first signed in.
Apps when downloading continue to show as downloading even after they are installed, is this just a syncing delay, I know I had this with my G1 at times when switching between roms and it usually fixed it self after a few days.
If this is the case is there anything I can do to try and fix this myself, its very annoying as the whole market is app is slow.
Error opening market.
Hi,
The Internet browser on my Galaxy S I9000 opens all web pages on both, GPRS and WiFi networks. However, the following applications give me errors-
1. Market - "Server unavailable. Please try again later". For both, GPRS and WiFi networks
2. Talk - It simply shuts down without showing any dialog box on both networks.
3. Maps, Gmail, Mail, Samsung Apps - Works only on WiFi and not GPRS
I do not have a 3G network in my region yet.
Since market doesn't open; I can not download anything.
Kindly guide me with this. I am more concerned about [1] and [2].
Thanks !
Existing adroid market app and android 2.2
Will the existing android market apps work with new froyo (android 2.2) after it's release?
Market Fix JF2 not working
Hi,
I tried everything, but its not working. I changed the build.prop (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7309462&postcount=162) wiped the cache and app cache, but still not full app catalogue in the market...
Can anyone help me?
A lot of them do, some mess up but devs are usually fast in tweaking the app to work with froyo
Upgraded to JM2 and now certain market apps missing
Hi, i'm pretty sure i'm in the right section, anyway, I upgraded to firmware JM2 and now there seems to be the odd app missing in market, not specifically paid ones.
For example myplayer is not there, is there a fix available for this or has the app just dissapeared(could anyone verify?).
Many Thanks
Replace build.prop with one from an official rom

Market Problem
Hey,
i can find all apps on Market but can't download any of them.
If i press install it says in German: "Download wird gestartet..." means more or less in english:"Download starting..." it gets stuck on this message.
I used JM2 and OneClick LagFix 2.0 market wasn't working. so i decided to reflash and don't use oneclick lagfix, but nothing.
Then i flashed JM5, bit it still doesn't work.
I also tried another googlemail account, but nothing..
Anyone has a idea? I can't even restore my backups, since i can't download titanium backup from market lol.
This has happened to me today too! Maybe it is problems with the market servers.. :/ Now I am stuck without any applications until it is fixed.
I have the exact same problem and i have also tried a factory reset, if i find a solution I will let you know.
Hi,
I recently installed Goldeneye KK 4.4.2 v 29 ROM on my phone and love it. After about a week of use, I tried to send a group text message through the stock messaging app. It failed to send. I switched to SMS on Hangouts and it still didn't send the MMS. After doing some searching, I saw that Goldeneye ROM has disabled SMS 2 MMS but didn't see any specific solutions in the thread. My understanding was that the SMS 2 MMS was disabled in order to prevent messages with emojis from converting to MMS. So my questions are then:
Was this feature just an apk in the original stock ROM? If it was just an apk, is it possible to reactivate this SMS 2 MMS feature by manually installing the correct apk? Or was it disabled in some more in depth altering of the stock ROM? I have tried installing some stock MMS.apk files but ended up getting "x App not installed".
If there isn't a simple apk or other fix, are there any specific MMS apps to send with?
I also uninstalled a few of the Samsung features with Titanium backup. They all seemed like extraneous features, but are any Samsung applications responsible for allowing MMS sending that I might have uninstalled?
Should I just use a different ROM?
Thanks for any help!
Just changed to Skyfall ROM.
hi
yesterday it worked for sure
today my mi-a1 asked me to restart due to system update
and now when i click on any link in the messages app it crashes
i also tried to open the messages through contacts+ app, clicking the links there also made it crash
i also updated the messages app to try and solve it, it didn't help
please check it on your phones
can you help?
1. Are You on stock, modified stock (rooted, magisk,...) or custom ROM?
2. Is it Your messaging app or web-browser that crashes?

don't know what it means, the one that comes with the phone as i bought it

its the messaging app that crashes not the browser, when i click on a link it doesn't get to the part when it opens the browser, it crashes b4 that part probably
just to be clear, like i get a text message from someone, i open the messages app and click on the text that is actually a link, then it crashes
Me and my friends have the same issue with the messages app and links clicking. Always getting an error message and the app getting crashed.
Is there any solution?
Yay, I'm not alone with this problem
Now maybe someone will look into it
My by pass solution is, you have to copy the entire text from that message cause you can't copy just the link, it will crash
So copy the entire message to a notes app
Then from it copy the link to a browser
Not fun at all, but it works…
I have the same problem. Not a rooted phone.
Please tell me if you have any solution.
Solved :cleared the data of the app
Settings- apps--data - clear data.
your'e a ****en genius!!!
it worked!!
i also noticed that this links problem happens in a couple of my apps on the phone, don't remember which right now
but when i'll see it i'll just go to clear its data :good:
