yes, there is an exposed script to install themes, but it's not cm theme engine, which means the theme apps are not interchangable. you would use xtheme apks. these are starting to gain popularity. there was a while when cm said thney wouldnt be using their theme engine in new builds so xthemewas all we had, and people started porting themes over.

and where I get the script exposed or Theme Chooser?

This is all what you need, an exposed fw and xtheme engine http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2327541

You can find and request XThemes here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2371574
Or you can learn how to port them here:

thanks for your answers

Theme chooser requires CM framework to work, so forget about adding it to stock ROM
no way
The T-Mobile Theme Engine is not just the Theme Chooser application, but changes buried deep in the framework. It was made for 2.3+, and for 2.2 support, it needs a lot of work (directing back SystemUI.apk resources to framework.apk, etc), and most of the themes won't work correctly, as they basically rely on the CyanogenMod structure, what is now miles away from AOSP.
Adding this theme manager to an existing ROM is a pain in the ass: first you need to get all the classes changed by the Theme Engine Overlay, then baksmali these files from a, the original ROM you want to add TTE to, b, a stock ROM compiled without adding TTE c, a stock ROM compiled with TTE. Diff the files from b and c, then diff a and b, and add the [b,c] differences to a without the [a,b] differences. That's all you need to do, and as a developer myself, I can tell you it will not just take weeks (8hours daily), but half a year of work.
what
What theme on my nexus 7 ?

Thank sir
You could also try the installing the Xposed framework, which can facilitate the theming of icons and such.

What's the chances of throwing theme chooser in this ROM .I love the pure aosp but I like my ROMs black and white.(maybe as a special edition for those of us tired of blue.lol)

Xposed framework is only for 4.0+ not for 2.3

Hi,
Make a nandroid before you try any changes to your phone.
Already done
That theme requires you to be on a custom rom that includes the t-mobile theme engine. It is not a flashable theme, but rather an apk that's installed and then is selectable from the theme engine.

[Q] cm 10 un stock

Hi, i have stock v20d rom i want it to look like cm10, but i dont want to install cm10, there are available any framework-res.apk which looks like CM ?
you can try xposed framework its a root app to make mods without really touching your system files or modding them well u can read more about this awesome tool here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
then with the framework installed you should download some modules(apk) in your case you would like to have xthemeengine module
its like having theme chooser in cm but for stock look for it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240180 also there is a lot of info about it you may read
then you can download themes or port them by yourself or maybe in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240180 they can also port the theme for you
if you have the time read the above thread and you fill find some cool ported themes like me
im using crystal blue 2 ported theme

[Q] can i install a theme for cm7 on a custom rom

Hi guys i am fairly new here so i can nott ask the question on the relevant dev thread
i recently installed the: [ROM][CM7.2][RC4] Reincarnation Rom Series v.5 | Touchwiz Nature UX Edition [20/03/2014] onto my galaxy y
i would like to know if it is possible to install a CM7 theme straight on top of this ?
i really have no idea and i would appreciate some guidance
cheers BZ
you can install any theme chooser theme (most ldpi/mdpi themes will work - dont try hdpi only themes or higher)
there are loads on xda and the google playstore
just install and then apply the theme with the theme chooser app that already comes with cm7
Thank you Marcus for your help and fast response
i appreciate it
After having a look through the app drawer and the settings it would seem that i have no theme chooser in this Rom
unless it is hidden somewhere or has been removed for stability maybe, i really don't know :/
any ideas are appreciated

some custom roms may remove it or hide it from launcher and place it in rom settings instead
look in system/app with a root browser
you should have
ThemeChooser.apk
ThemeManager.apk
if not you can try installing them with system app installer (playstore) or push to system and set permissions to rw-r-r and restart
iv included them in the attachment
if they dont install you will have to change to bieltv cm7 and not use port or custom versions
Thank you again m8
if it wasn't for your guidance i'd be lost completely
much appreciated
they were not installed
so i followed what you said and installed them, and now i can easily change the themes, yay
thank you again m8 for your help and and knowledge :good:

how to apply theme on stock 6.0.1

hey guys,
I just installed the stock MM 6.0.1 in my Note 4 and its not supporting theme.
can anyone port the theme engine, or using any other staff to make it theme support??
thanks
You can't actually import any themes onto Touchwiz on the Note 4. However you can install a 3rd party launcher from the Google Play Store that will allow to install themes onto the Note 4.
