Hi, i have stock v20d rom i want it to look like cm10, but i dont want to install cm10, there are available any framework-res.apk which looks like CM ?
you can try xposed framework its a root app to make mods without really touching your system files or modding them well u can read more about this awesome tool here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
then with the framework installed you should download some modules(apk) in your case you would like to have xthemeengine module
its like having theme chooser in cm but for stock look for it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240180 also there is a lot of info about it you may read
then you can download themes or port them by yourself or maybe in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240180 they can also port the theme for you
if you have the time read the above thread and you fill find some cool ported themes like me
im using crystal blue 2 ported theme

Hi
I have been using CM6 Nightlies for a while now, and I have been lurking about in the theme section for a while, and I would like to know how I can theme my Cyanogenmod roms?
Is it a case of actually flashing themed roms instead of Cyanogenmod?
I know ADWLauncher (included in Cyanogenmod) can be themed independently, but I am still a n00b to themes so would like to know what the best options are!
Thanks
Stu

Check out the threads over in the general android theming forum, especially this one
Sage words below
TIP: Your first theme should really just be a mixing and matching of other themes to get use to the process.
TIP: d/l and look at other themes and see what the have done, using the same process below you can port and mash themes. To see what is themed go to the res/drawable-xxx folders and sorte the png's in there to newest at the top and you'll see what they have changed.
TIP: system/app/xxx.apk are where most apps that are themed are contained in these apks you'll find a res folder and in there you have a bunch of folders. you really on need to look in the drawable-xxx ones mdpi, no-dpi, land and so forth. these pngs make up the apps look and feel changing them will theme the app.

Hi guys i am fairly new here so i can nott ask the question on the relevant dev thread
i recently installed the: [ROM][CM7.2][RC4] Reincarnation Rom Series v.5 | Touchwiz Nature UX Edition [20/03/2014] onto my galaxy y
i would like to know if it is possible to install a CM7 theme straight on top of this ?
i really have no idea and i would appreciate some guidance
cheers BZ
you can install any theme chooser theme (most ldpi/mdpi themes will work - dont try hdpi only themes or higher)
there are loads on xda and the google playstore
just install and then apply the theme with the theme chooser app that already comes with cm7
Thank you Marcus for your help and fast response
i appreciate it
After having a look through the app drawer and the settings it would seem that i have no theme chooser in this Rom
unless it is hidden somewhere or has been removed for stability maybe, i really don't know :/
any ideas are appreciated

some custom roms may remove it or hide it from launcher and place it in rom settings instead
look in system/app with a root browser
you should have
ThemeChooser.apk
ThemeManager.apk
if not you can try installing them with system app installer (playstore) or push to system and set permissions to rw-r-r and restart
iv included them in the attachment
if they dont install you will have to change to bieltv cm7 and not use port or custom versions
Thank you again m8
if it wasn't for your guidance i'd be lost completely
much appreciated
they were not installed
so i followed what you said and installed them, and now i can easily change the themes, yay
thank you again m8 for your help and and knowledge :good:
Does anyone knows how to add Themes to a Stock ROM , like the ones which we get in some of the custom ROMS when we hover to settings

HKTheme doesnt support CM11 themes, you need to use CM10 themes... or themes designed for XTheme/HKTheme.

Short answer: No.
Long answer: Unless someone adds cm theme engine to stock rom then you cannot use them. But by doing this it stops becoming stock and becomes a custom rom, just like CM, AOKP etc.
The biggest part of cm themes is the ability to theme styles.xml, with out this your only getting half the theme (png's, some colours and a couple of other things depending on the theme). If your wanting to use cm11 themes to change your bootscreen, fonts and others then your getting even less of the theme overall as they dont work either.
You can port them to work with HKTheme (porting them to cm10 themes would be the easiest option). Even then its hit and miss whether they work or not.
You would ideally port them to XTheme to reduce the risk of HKTheme incompatibility issues.
Even then... you could only use flux for personal use as it's a paid app.
CM has actually improved a LOT since the last time i used it (2 years ago).
It use to feel like a heavily customized and bloated AOSP rom, now it feels like it's an AOSP rom with added features. Things are a lot better integrated these days.
I avoided it like the plague, now I dual boot it on my nook and it runs very well.
Hope this helps.:good:

Well that was too much, it literally bounced me ? anyways thanks for your help!! ?
1.HERE IS XPERIA FRAMEWORK PORTED FOR CM11 BY ME
2.IT WORKS PERFECTLY FINE THOUGH I WASNT ABLE TO CHANGE SOME ELEMENTS AS PER XPERIA BUT FRAMEWORK HAS NO BUGS ITS TESTED ON MY PHONE
Note: 1.it may show no network access on every boot just press the back button .i doesnt affect your mobile network
2.it may not work if u r using a theme it will only work on stock ui theme
3.this is mod is as per build 02/08 so using m9 is highly recommended
4.DO NOT FLASH THIS FRAMEWORK IF IT IS YOUR FIRST BOOT IN ROM OR DONT WIPE DATA WHEN THIS FRAMEWORK IS ALREADY INSTALLED IT WILL GO IN BOOTLOOP
UPDATE:IT DOESNT WORK ON LATEST CM11 BUILDS
3.U MAY FIND SCREEN SHOTS OF FRAMEWORK IN THE LOWER POSTS SCREENSHOTS OF APPS WILL BE UPLOADED SOON
4.I REQUEST ANYONE TO PLEASE UPLOAD THE SCREEN SHOTS AFTER TESTING OF THE APPS
5.THE MOD JUST CHANGES THE FRAMEWORK-RES.APK SO IF ANY ONE WANTS TO REVERT BACK JUST REPLACE THE FRAMEWORK-RES.APK OF MOD WITH OF YOUR RESPECTIVE ROM,a backup is still recommended
6.the mods are in attachments due to some reasons i have TO KEEP THE MUSIC AND CLOCK WIDGETS SEPERATE
COLOR="Red"]6.i will be soon uploading z2 lockscreen AND SETTINGS APP[/COLOR]
DOWNLOAD:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/0826ne3jdvdrqgu/cm11_z2_final-bhavstech.zip
Instructions to port it to other roms:
use this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/cros...4#post54584204 to port his framework v1.2 and not 1.2.3
then use nazeel away's sources http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/guide-theme-framework-res-to-xperia-t2843046 and copy all pngs and replace them in respective folder in the previously ported framework of v1.2 recompile and you are done

just get back cm11 m9 i'll test it
Currently downloading CM11 again.
I will add some Screenshots later.
Edit: I've noticed no changes. Only the settings look different and nearly every preinstalled app crashes when I want to open it. Tried it on the newest CM 11 nightly. Later I will test it together with the M9 build.

i recommend to use m9
@ChickenNugget
Try using m9 and these are the basic differences u will note:
sliders
Settings app
Progressing icon/bar(the one appering during optimization of apps) changes
On off sliders change
Cursors change
And i vl be soon uploading a full xperia pack compatible with m9
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
With the M9 Version of CM11 everything works just fine. As this is the Z2 Framework will the Xperia Z2 apps like the lockscreen or launcher work, too?
Here are a few screenshots:
@ChickenNugget Launcher ,album, walkman app work even without framework

yeah, but it's not like a full rom of xperia with all the features, design, apps, etc.
like this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo.../port-nexsense-sense-6-0-wifi-fix-m8-t2703397
which is actually a port of the original M8 system.
the system is still cm11 only with the design of xperia.
@dors1234 Yeah you are correct but you are comparing two totally different things i am trying to make the rom look almost like xperia and i m still working on it, the things which u r talking about is way too difficult even for a highly qualified developer, both the concepts r port only, and its not so easy to do this task too it took me 4 days you cant really comparing it to a theme and the port you are comparing to is still in alpha state

If its a system app it will only install if you remove all the references to the touchwiz framework - There is a thread somewhere with some pre done apps and how to but unless you are good at coding and reading logcats chances are it will force close if you do manage to even get it to install
