Hi
I have been using CM6 Nightlies for a while now, and I have been lurking about in the theme section for a while, and I would like to know how I can theme my Cyanogenmod roms?
Is it a case of actually flashing themed roms instead of Cyanogenmod?
I know ADWLauncher (included in Cyanogenmod) can be themed independently, but I am still a n00b to themes so would like to know what the best options are!
Thanks
Stu

Check out the threads over in the general android theming forum, especially this one
Sage words below
TIP: Your first theme should really just be a mixing and matching of other themes to get use to the process.
TIP: d/l and look at other themes and see what the have done, using the same process below you can port and mash themes. To see what is themed go to the res/drawable-xxx folders and sorte the png's in there to newest at the top and you'll see what they have changed.
TIP: system/app/xxx.apk are where most apps that are themed are contained in these apks you'll find a res folder and in there you have a bunch of folders. you really on need to look in the drawable-xxx ones mdpi, no-dpi, land and so forth. these pngs make up the apps look and feel changing them will theme the app.

There are themes for the CM7 theme chooser everywhere. Firstly, take a look in the HD2 Android Themes & Apps section, then have a look on the market and other resources. The app 'Rom Toolbox' does pretty much everything, including giving a nice list of CM7 themes. There's also an app called something along the lines of 'Themes for T-Mobile theme chooser' on the market which gives themes and previews of them.
Just go into ADWsettings (click centre windows key), there you will see option for get themes under Theme Preferences?
Hi everyone.
As no one on the rom thread want to help me, I'm asking here.
Could someone tell me how to add Theme Choser to this rom ? It may take ressources but I don't care, I want a nice phone.
Thanks.

It's not that they won't tell you, it's that you won't be able to do it, because it will take you a year to do it, even more so if you don't know crap to smali.
Theme chooser isn't only an APK you install. It's hours of modifications to framework.apk, systemui.apk and other programs that can get modded by themes (now contacts.apk and mms.apk)
It's just simpler taking CM base and building your own rom from it rather than taking an existing AOSP based rom and trying to merge in theme chooser.
HOWEVER, for the not so faint of heart but nowhere as hard as integrating theme chooser, you can simply mod the graphics of the rom permanently. Many people have done so quite successfully here, for example with rasbeanjelly rom.
Hi, i have stock v20d rom i want it to look like cm10, but i dont want to install cm10, there are available any framework-res.apk which looks like CM ?
you can try xposed framework its a root app to make mods without really touching your system files or modding them well u can read more about this awesome tool here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574401
then with the framework installed you should download some modules(apk) in your case you would like to have xthemeengine module
its like having theme chooser in cm but for stock look for it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240180 also there is a lot of info about it you may read
then you can download themes or port them by yourself or maybe in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240180 they can also port the theme for you
if you have the time read the above thread and you fill find some cool ported themes like me
im using crystal blue 2 ported theme

As it stands I have scrolled through many roms but they all seem to be dark in colour, I am trying to find a rom that's light in colour for the i9505 (uk) does no one make them other than black or dark themed roms ?
Hi,
In CyanogenMod 11 for example you can install custom themes after flashing the ROM! And there are many themes out there in the Themes section of S4 Forum, you might want to take a look. Believe me, the ROM color won't be any problem hahaha! There's plethora of themes out there, you just need to search. For example, if you take CM11 ROM, you can download themes from Google Play Store and apply it via the settings app, easy like that. Other themes require flashing, or some special app .
Check this sub-forum and you might find something you like:

On this same note, most AOSP based ROMs have this theming ability. And there are literally thousands of themes available on the Google Play store as well.
Does anyone knows how to add Themes to a Stock ROM , like the ones which we get in some of the custom ROMS when we hover to settings
I'm trying hard to google it but no Fruit , Please someone Help me with the Concern and i'll be more then Glad

HKTheme doesnt support CM11 themes, you need to use CM10 themes... or themes designed for XTheme/HKTheme.

Short answer: No.
Long answer: Unless someone adds cm theme engine to stock rom then you cannot use them. But by doing this it stops becoming stock and becomes a custom rom, just like CM, AOKP etc.
The biggest part of cm themes is the ability to theme styles.xml, with out this your only getting half the theme (png's, some colours and a couple of other things depending on the theme). If your wanting to use cm11 themes to change your bootscreen, fonts and others then your getting even less of the theme overall as they dont work either.
You can port them to work with HKTheme (porting them to cm10 themes would be the easiest option). Even then its hit and miss whether they work or not.
You would ideally port them to XTheme to reduce the risk of HKTheme incompatibility issues.
Even then... you could only use flux for personal use as it's a paid app.
CM has actually improved a LOT since the last time i used it (2 years ago).
It use to feel like a heavily customized and bloated AOSP rom, now it feels like it's an AOSP rom with added features. Things are a lot better integrated these days.
I avoided it like the plague, now I dual boot it on my nook and it runs very well.
Hope this helps.:good:
