Many Problems with my LG G2 or is it just me? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone I just made a account here but i have visited here before .. really great content and files. So I recently purchased a LG G2 from t-mobile(D801) as a upgrade from my Nexus 4 i was going to get a note 3 but they ran out of those so i went with the second best option the LG G2 as i read many great reviews about this phone and customer satisfaction was great. The back buttons are not a problem for me at times they are a bit annoying but for the most part its good. Before i talk about what I find weird on this device let me just say that the Battery life and display are the only things I like in the phone and enjoyed since purchace a week ago. FIRST.. The phone is just slow ... going through homescreens and opening app drawer , going through settings can be laggy sometimes which I find surprising i know the interface is craploaded but the device has a snapdragon 800.. does it?? feels like it does not. also the very heavily praised LG G2 OIS 13 Megapixel camera i find EXTREAMLY BAD now im no photographer but i take photos just like any other teenager and find the images to be blurry a lot very pixelated (i dont know what its called) and slow where is this ''stabilization'' there is seriously something wrong with the camera i cant get a good image ... i might post some later for you to see. Now the last part i realized is that it today turned off for no reason and restarted so i had my phone on standby i turn it on unlock the screen and right after that it takes me to the stage where im turning on the phone like if i shut it down. This was fixed when i factory reset my phone I had no weird apps just social media , gta vice city and antutu (duh!) but i feel like this will happen again probably and the phone is just suckish for me ... maybe i got a bad unit.. i would want to trade this in even for a older s4 now.. but i already ordered a cover thats quite expensive and yeh... maybe t-mobile can replace it i mean the things gotta be broken Lol.. or just SUCKS!
what do you guys think.. im asking you since everywhere on the internet i cant find someone with my problems ...
all replies will be very appreciated

It is not that the phone is slow it is that the lg version of android more that likely bogs down that phone. If it is anything like my s4 if you root it and put a custom ROM on it like CyanogenMod than it will be really fast and there well be no lag at all

OP: I wonder if you got a bad device. The G2 is not perfect but I am not having the issues you are describing and I am running 100% stock, unrooted.

To OP: Dude, just go back and get them to replace it. You clearly got a bad device.
There's no need to join XDA just to rant about a faulty device. Show them and Tmo should be able to replace it.

try a case so you dont accidentally turn phone off in pants
could be youre wearing to tight jeans
Otherwise return it
sometimes were unlucky to get the 1 faulty unit.

So what do you think of it?

ok guy's and gal's ,just want some good feedback on this phone.i used to have the g1 when it first came out ,had it for a while .up till about 6 mth's ago .then i sold it got a touch pro 2 .i love android but after the stuff with google pulled on Cyan .wasn't sure were all this was going.but know been looking to get back in .with the power and memory look's like partitioning the memory card will be no more .i know you can have root on this one to and it just came out ! so let me know on this phone what ya think.i read about battery life thread but that seem's to be the first place everyone go's to.i want to now how you like it for everyday use and if you are rooted it or not .thank' s for the imput.
Short answer...love it....can't think of a better device...wish the gps/compass was fixed sooner rather than later though...
I did root it as soon as I read the instructions via adb...glad to have wireless tether running and glad I don't have to worry about partitioning the sd card or having swap etc..
I think we all complain about some of the things on the phone but I mean what phone doesn't have its share of complaints? I think the general consensus is that most people love it =)
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
very good to here !ya what phone don't have complaint's lol well keep it coming thank's everone.
I'm rooted and absolutely love this phone.. I have no GPS problems and get locks fast... the screen is beautiful and amazes people everytime they see it. The camera is pretty good for me as its just a phone camera but takes awesome shots. The night mode kinda makes up for the lack of camera flash but once again no biggie. The compass is wack but whatever I don't use it. ..
The 720 p recording is awesome and takes great videos I was impressed.
The games are insane on this thing. The 3d graphics on this super amoled screen is just amazing, I actually play games now one my phone.. the screen is super responsive and the Multitouch is flawless vs the nexus one (came from it)..
All in all I love this. Oh I also get no slow downs either... and the memory is awesome no need for apps2sd or ever check my memory... fantastic phone way better than my old n1 IMO...
Best phone I've ever used/owned.
thank's everyone i think i'm sold.going to have to get one !well let's keep this thread going for all !
I absolutely love mine. Had it since launch. i used my gps for the first time two days ago and it worked fine for the most part. Im also unrooted at the moment. I also came from a g1 so from me to you, it's a good choice to go with.
Loving mine so far. My GPS takes a bit to lock on sometimes but its usually only after google maps crashes and locks up the phone. A manual restart usually solves it and I get a quick lock.
Screen is beautiful, responsive and just the right size. The phone is light and thin which I like and battery life has been getting better for me. With my latest cycle, light use mind you, i'm at almost 23 hours since charge and im at 58% battery left using Juice Defender.
This phone gets my recommendation.
If you want to use Layar, Google Sky Map, Wikitude, or any other Augmented Reality app, prepare to be disappointed. The compass problem really sodomizes all those apps' ability to know which way you're facing. It was so bad I returned mine before my 14 day remorse period was up. If they manage to fix it in software, I might get a new one, but it remains to be seen whether their fix will be adequate.
It took a lot to get the G1 out of my hands but this phone is just so much better in terms of performance, stability and usability. It does take a day or so to get used to the different feel and button placement but other than that - I would say go for it!
Pros:
CPU/GPU
Camera
Performance speed
16gb on board and still room for a SD card
screen
weight
thinness
Android
Cons:
GPS/Compass (lets hope they fix it)
No flash on camera
Cheap build quality (volume button is flimsy)
plastic feel kinda cheap
old iphone like design
Touchwiz
Samsungs future support is questionable.
Overall its a great phone with great hardware especially if you are on Tmobile. If you can look past the cheap design and the GPS issues that might be fixed in the future then you will enjoy the phone. If you want a higher quality feeling phone and solid support I would hold for a HTC phone.
I bought the phone and generally happy with it I just hope all the kinks are worked out.
thank's again everyone ,hope this will help others if they are wondering about it to !

Purchase advise

Hello XDA family,
I used to be a regular on the Captivate forum before I moved to WP7. I'm getting a little bored with the newest from Microsoft, and was thinking about moving back to the Android side of life. I've been watching the development of the atrix for quite a while and now that it's been release, I figured I'd look into it.
So, I head back to XDA to get the low down and I see a lot of mixed opinions. I know the bootloader is locked, but like the DroidX, I figured it's only a matter of time before it's cracked, right? Either way, most reviews say that the phone is fine out of the box, and the OTA takes that even further. There is some talk about the mic being jacked on some handsets causing muffled sound, MotoBlur...etc...etc...
Is this phone worth the money? I used to swap roms all the time with the captivate, but that was mainly because it needed it. File system performance, GPS, chronic shut downs, poor battery life, all plagued that device and my man DesignGears and others did their damnedest to correct that. Does this phone have straight up broken features that require the roms at the moment?
Is the screen as bad as everyone says? I'm used to the 3GS, and my last two phones had SAMOLED screens (Captivate, Focus).
I guess, I just don't want to do the ATT phone return merry-go-round again like I did with the Capy (I went through 9)...

I'd say don't get your hopes up here. I don't think the bootloader will be defeated unless there's a leak from Moto or an official way to do it from Moto.
Other than that, as a potential Atrix owner I'm interested in the answers to all your questions, too!
I came from captivate to focus to Atrix. I have all 3 laying on my desk and just wait h sim card to whichever I want to use. I find myself carrying the Atrix over 90% of the time because it just works. Never have had any of the random issues people talk about on here. I own a construction company and use my phone hard. Email in the field all day, talk 5000-6000 minutes a month and the battery lasts all day. I use a bluetooth headset so I have never noticed the muffled mic issue, however the update we just got was suppossed to correct that. I would buy another one without hesitation. When the high speed upload is turned on it will pretty much be a perfect device for me. Front camera chat works with Tango app. Gps works out of the box. Good battery and no lag.
Hope this helps with your decision.
Jack

The Atrix works great for me, except for the call quality issue. Great battery life, fast performance in demanding games and apps, very stable.

[Q] LG G2 or wait.

Hello I'm having the hardest time deciding if I should wait to upgrade since the galaxy s5 and htc one/two are right around the corner or if I should just get the G2 for Christmas. The G2 seems like a great phone but it also seems to have it's fair share of issues, I'm worried that something much better might come out within a month or two. Anyway just looking for advice thanks!

I've been reading through some of the forums and heard that external speakerphone has very low decibel levels, camera video is poor quality due to shaky focus, and the knock-ON feature doesn't work reliably. One other thing that concerns me is android development behind the phone since it's not that popular. Also the design could be better but the screen is gorgeous.
My 2c. There is no perfect phone. IPhone, Samsung, lg, HTC, they all have their quirks and disappointments. But it's matter of if you can find a way to overcome it.
Camera is fantastic. And you being here means you are willing to do more than just complain. Root, remove bloat, update camera app. Knock 3 times instead of 2.
And personally if you do more than just play with your phone, ie use for work. Custom ROM other than modified stock ROM will just be way too buggy.
My honest opinion is that they are really 3 viable Android phones out there. The Sony Z, nexus5 and G2. After having gone through several Samsung phones, I'll never buy another Samsung.
Between the 3 above get the lg if battery life is important to you. Because that is the only thing you absolutely cannot change.

These are all good points, just one more question then, if roms you think will be too buggy how is lg at updating to the latest version of android?
LG G2 is an outstanding choice for now, IMHO.
I realized that no matter how attractive a new phone's reviews or announcements get, there would always be a few minor issues or dislikes rising up after a couple of weeks hands-on playing. Phones are not designed by end users and LG team got to stick with their budgets and timeline.
G2 camera appeared very impressive me. "Optical" image stabilizer is a bonus point making the difference - simply with default app and settings, it can make awesome low-light/indoor photos. I was able to take a few decent photos when lights were really dim. Read some posts about its focusing speed as capturing moving objects in low lighting; no chance to try that yet but that task sounded quite a challenge to any phone cameras.
The only two issues caught my attention in daily uses are the screen flickering happening in certain places caused by the so called content adaptive back-lighting, and the brightness sensor output. Both are only noticeable in low-light settings and easy to work around them. Some said the content adaptive lighting is due to JB 4.22 OS. Hope a firmware/OS update will soon refine the g2.

G2 feels an ambitious and strong strike from LG. As a flagship model, the design and implementation could be further polished if bosses gave the team more time to work on it, well then we probably had to pay more bucks for having one...

I was in the same boat as you 2 weeks ago, but AT&T changing their prices on the family plan forced me to get the LG G2. Some of the concerns I had before getting it are somewhat still there, especially the camera performance in low light. I haven't had any battery drain issues yet and so far battery life has been fantastic. back buttons aren't that bad, the placement makes sense sometimes, especially when you are on a call. knock on/off feature is great as well but as others have said, it doesn't work 100% of the time. Overall, it's a fantastic phone & i'm glad I got it.
Don't torture yourself by waiting. This phone is a beast...AND I've yet to install a custom ROM!

Yes, the speaker is a little bit tinny, but it's not that quiet, I'd say it's fine. Camera video focus problems happen occasionally, nothing that a camera firmware update won't fix. Knock On works fine when you get the hang of it. This phone has a bunch of ROMs, but to be honest - you don't really need them. I got this phone and I left it completely stock and just rooted it - it's THAT good.
What's wrong with the design? I think it's a good looking phone.

Same here stock rooted; was thinking about a prettier launcher replacement but like to stay with some of the stock features. Always use the knock on without touching the power button now - very convenient design.
Increase speaker volume - two xda posts about an easy fix by editing the file snd_soc_msm_Taiko:

I just push the back button to increase in-call volume to max when needed.

That was just purely experience sharing for your reference. You'll get a great phone in either case.
My plan-renewal credit was available since July but htc one or s4 didn't make the urge for me to upgrade the phone, until last month I grabbed the G2 with a price tag of $50.

Opinions about buying LG G2

Hi all, sorry for posting this here but I really need some input from the honest folks of XDA whom I trust most
I have Xperia X10 & I want to buy a new phone, my three options are Note 3, Xperia Z1 & LG G2
now I really wanted to go for Note 3 because of s pen & big size but the problem is that Snapdragon 800 version is not released with warranty for where I live & I have doubts buying a Samsung device without warranty
I played a bit with Xperia Z1 & noticed the overheating issue around the lens & worse yet it shuts down the camera & doesn't let you use it unless the device is cooled down
I played with LG G2 & found no issues at all, really loved the device & its innovations, the price is also lower than those two here, the only thing is I heard a few things about LG phones in general that makes me worried, a few people say that lg phones' batteries get worse after some months & you'll get half the battery life you got during first days, Also they say that because of G2's many software features the phone will lag after some months (which sounds kinda stupid really) but since my budget is really really limited & I will stuck with whatever I choose for two or three years I need some honest input from the people who own this device for some months now
Thanks a lot, Really appreciate it
Here's my somewhat biased answer:
1. I avoid Sony products like the plague. Not very good experience in the past.
2. I don't like the Xperia line, their designs are not that good to me (way too square-ish).
3. I've been a Samsung user for the last three devices Samsung S2, Samsung S3 Mini and Samsung Note 1, all of them great devices except two things: Build quality (chromes come off easily) but above all, AMOLED screens tend to burn-in over time. So I decided to avoid AMOLED screens from now on.
4. I decided to try LG G2 due to it been the first Snapdragon 800 CPU and it's gorgeous IPS screen but most of all, its INCREDIBLE BATTERY LIFE! which is something every other brand lacks (maybe except the Motorola Droid MAXX). Other great aspects: super thin, almost no bezel which allows the screen to be almost phablet size!
I would suggest you to try LG G2, it will not disappoint you! :good:
Just make sure you get the 32 GB version!

I Personally like the Z1 and the G2
The Z1 overheating issues is only present if you take video like a mad person or play games as if its a PSP from my understanding.
Remember these are still phones. And if you plan to play games on it for 6-8 hours straight and get it overheating, you are in need of a Handheld or tablet. It should not overhead on normal usage.
G2 I have so far has great battery life. What u should do to Li-Ion every now and then though is run it completely dead and recharge it so the system can calibrate the battery again. a lot of times that's the issue. That's the same thing people say with Motorolas also but I been fine with miens for 1 1/2 years
I went with the G2 due to price. Instead of the Note I had the HTC one as my third option.
The new phones are all soo powerful it mainly comes down what u want to use it for and what fits ur pocket and style.
I like the size, Screen, Powerplant, Battery of the G2 and the Price at under $300 used in mint condition was a steal to me.
Else I went for the HTC one at little over 325,.... The Sony was nice but the price was not right for me. Nor did it feel comfi in my hand.
But again those are my personal reason on why I picked the G2
1. Sony make POS phone, I despise their products, even their GOOGLE TV sucks, funny thing is I'm getting ready to buy their noise cancelling headphone. They dont listen to customer, the same problem that happen in the XZ is happen on the XZ1S viewing angle. also the battery is surprisingly not good at all.
2. Note 3 is good but too big for my hand. my rules of thumb is, if I cant wrap my thumb and middle finger around the phone, then it is too big for me
3. LG G2 is an awesome phone, if I switch to any other phone it would be because I'm bored of Android, not because of the phone. battery last me all day with everything turn on (no battery saving app BS)
I traded the XZ for HTC one, the HTC one came close to beating it, but the over heating and battery got me to switch to the LG G2. If you do want the Note 3, take a look at the HTC one max, I think they fix it to where it doesnt overheat.
I had a Xperia Z1 and man, its a joke... Full of issues, touchscreen, battery, lag in homescreen, random reboots... I replaced it 5 times and all have the same issues.
Now i have an Lg G2 and, oh my really f**** god... Its wonderful! its the best phone i have had so far. The IPS screen provide a really good quality, it impress me the first time i saw it.
Buy an LG and you will like it as heaven.
Buy a Sony and play Russian roulette.
Buy a Samsung and you will have a good phone ( i dont have it so i dont say anything about it )
Thanks all for your input, That makes me want this phone even more over the other two
so those of you who have this phone for some months now haven't face any lag or battery life degradation on stock rom??because I know I'm gonna just use the stock rom (because based on my experience with X10 & flashing countless custom roms nothing beats stock in stability)
Also 32 gb is enough for you? I don't have proper access to cloud, for me it'll be some music files, maybe two or three movies, one hd game maybe & also I need 2-3 gb for maps to use it for offline gps, with these can I install many apps without any issues?
Thanks again for your useful comments
Also about HTC one max its price is really over my budget, also its camera is just not that good in daylight
any comment on the storage?
I'm off to buy my new phone next week
Yes 32gb is enough for your usage! But of course as anything else, you should not abuse it!

You will have 24 GB storage after system apps. There is some occasional stutter when scrolling but that's the only lag I've experienced.

I thought of that initially too... But it was not a dealbreaker at all!
I use several storage options:
1. Cloud Storage (Dropbox, Google Drive, etc)
2. Personal wireless NAS Storage when at home.
3. USB Host through OTG cable and usb memory.
Besides, unless you purchase a high speed micro sd, external storage through microsd is basically useless due to their low performance compared with the internal storage. Even some Class 10 microsd are not as fast as internal storage.
Anyway, just be sure to get those video recordings out of your device soon, because they are HUGE! lol...
Cheers!
I have that Russian cloud storage which gave me 1TB of free storage due to a now finished promo. Box.com gives you 50 GB free storage when you sign in using a LG phone but cloud storage isn't that fast really.

I agree, stock it great....i just installed a debloated version and the up side to the root Rom is charging isn't limited on cheap chargers, bloatware removal and a small boost of battery life.
I would highly recommend the LG G2, i swap phones alot and my all time favorite was the HTC One due to its build quality and boom sound speakers but since i started using the G2 Im so in love with it. Great battery life and the a huge screen that is prefect for one hand use due to the lack of screen bezel.
The only main issue i had with the G2 was the UI, although it preforms well but the colors used are so stupid and might make the phone look cheap, so i replaced all the main ugly looking apps with others from the Play store ( No root required) im talking about the Dialer, Messaging & keyboard.
Hope that helps making up ur mind.
i think the verizon G2 is the best bang for the buck
the gsm is unlocked
wireless charging built in
I like the stock LG keyboard.
for everything else
there are LOTs of ROMS :good::good::good:
I am also looking for my next phone.
At first considered Note 3, but after a bit of reading around, its buggy firmwares scared me off plus i am not interested in S pen features.
Then thought of One Max, but no OIS like One, and snapdragon 600 not very futureproof either. Great screen and audio though. But having this big of a phone and still compromise on specs was a no go.
Now i am down to LG G2. I guess this might be it. I could care less about having latest android version as for me it is already mature enough. Phone stability and battery life are what i am looking for with decent horsepower.
I am pretty much a samsung fanboy! Not to the extreme but I have been in love with the galaxy series.
I was using the galaxy S3 when a offer for the LG G2 came up, which i could not refuse, so i 'gave it a go' and in my complete honesty i have never looked back and had no regrets.
The phone is amazing and can guarentee it will compete with most if not all the upcoming phones this year!! The speed is just out of this world and the first thing people comment on when trying my phone. Battery.....well what can I say, WOW!!!! Button placement is actually very nice, but due to LGs actual useful features I dont touch the buttons for days on end!
Storage.......yes this can be a problem, and its the one thing people turn round to me and say its the thing tgat stops them getting the phone. But i have learnt to live with it with no problems. My gallery is now linked to my dropbox so save space there, and i just delete gilms and series once i have watched them. To me i have no issues with storage.
Overall i can not reccomend this phone enough! I did not mention so much like screen and bezel and overall size if phone as they are just obviously perfect.

Guys I hope you don't mind me tagging onto this thread.
I killed my Xperia Z Ultra yesterday, I reversed over it, its complete roadkill now... :crying:
Anyway that aside I am seriously considering the G2 now it can be gotten for such a reasonable price and the hardware/battery etc. is so much better than the Nexus 5.
Im completely sold on the hardware but I do like stock android though so will probably go with an AOSP Rom at some point.
Can someone tell me if I can still root and put custom recovery on the latest LG firmware... I just won't be happy if I'm stuck with the stock LG firmware forever.
Really appreciate if someone could answer that for me conclusively as I have my finger on the trigger of buying one. :good:
you probably can, otherwise you grab an old kdz somewhere downgrade(via return to stock method, posted here somewhere), root and upgrade
anybody have experience with that?

I really enjoyed using it... The camera was typical tablet quality, very poor and I found myself not bothering to take photos of moments I would have like to have captured,
The size I got used to but it was what ultimately lead to its demise, It must have fell out of my pocket getting into the car and I reversed over it. Its roadkill now :crying: Will get a replacement on the insurance and sell it on.
The things I had the huge screen for, ie watching movies and gaming I found I never had time to do anyway... I don't regret getting the Ultra but its time for something with similar performance but a lot more practical and I think for me thats the G2,

G3 almost two weeks in

I really wanted this phone to work. Its cheaper than other flagships for starters. Then there is the screen which is really impressive. I just feel continually let down by it though. Its like a bad relationship that you cant let go of and just keep coming back to.
Im not here to rubbish the phone at all... Just feel irritated that you have to root, access secret menus, downgrade to 1080p and rely on a third party launcher to get the buttery goodness im after.
Our friends in the US seem to fare better on the battery front, even after tweaks, mine is erratic and thats being kind. I have to say that battery life does bug me greatly.
It takes some beautiful photos for sure. But the screen colouring does seem to let it down even after tweaking. Its real hot and sunny in London now and outside it doesnt have visibility it should.
I feel like i have been covering up for a cheating partner for the last few weeks hoping for it to all work out.... And am left wanting.....
Cant help but feel LG rushed this a little bit and wonder if a slightly better processor would have helped the battery life.
I have an S5 waiting at home today which im going to test against this. Gonna have a seriously hard choice i feel.......
Good luck on your next choice! s5 is a good phone (just overly bloated) im sure you will enjoy it

Yep, I "gave up" on day 13. Pretty much the same experience as you. Can't help feel LG have rushed it to get a foothold early in the 2k market.
Hello batfink. Thats how i would put it. What did you move on to?

Went from Nexus 5 to G3 to M8 and now settled on Z2 until a decent 2k phone is released. I sold my Nexus 5 for £250 and bought the G3 for £480 then took that back and got the M8 for £530. To be honest I wish i stayed with my Nexus 5 instead of spending the extra money for the G3 then the others.
Ha ha i know the feeling. I think we will be waiting a while yet

The Z2 is OK. Best of the ones I've tried this year but its not perfect. The M8s camera is terrible so that's why I ditched it.

Yeah, maybe the Nexus 6 will be good? Who knows. I see Xiaomi released the Mi4 yesterday. Its still using the S801 for a 2k screen which I'm highly dubious of now and I noticed the same frame rate drops as the G3 in the video of it.
It's funny, I came from the S5, which worked for me, but was nothing special. I came from a N3 before, and hated going down to a smaller sized phone.
The G3 fits the bill for me perfectly! I hate overly saturated colors, and the screen has been amazing! The only thing that bothered me was the artificial screen sharpening, but I can live with that.
Battery life has been OK, slightly worse than my S5 (which was amazing)

Coming from a Samsung S3 and I am amazed at both the screen visibility outdoors and the battery life. I am in California where its rare for me to see any clouds and the sun is burning bright. With the screen at full brightness (auto) I can read the screen perfectly. No issues what so ever and I don't need to shade the screen. Not sure why you are having issues.
The battery life is fantastic too. Does the samsung S5 get better life? Probably. But I am easily getting 2-3 hours on half a charge. My samsung would be dying by then.
When I compared the Samsung S5 and the G3 in a best buy, the G3 was brighter and the screen was much sharper. I don't know why the reviews say its hard to tell, it wasn't at all. Even the samsung rep agreed.
Ill take cali over london any day!! ☺
The battery life has been amazing for me. Also, coming from the note 3 so I had high expectations.

I used to live in Wimbledon, great place. Sad I'm back up north now.
I'm consistently getting over 5 hours screen time and going 24 hours between charges. I've also had no problems with lag or stability. I'm on a US Tmobile LG G3 and I love it like a fat kid loves chocolate cake.

I have an G3 also in the UK and I would somewhat agree.
However, my first question would be, are you still on v10a?
Cause v10a was/is ****, since I flashed v10e there is definite improvement all around.
Maybe US variants were released with a later version? Maybe that's why they have started with better battery?
And it's definitely too early to judge the phone in my opinion.
Can't wait for CM/AOSP roms and custom kernels... hopefully in the not too distant future.

I don't mind modding but when the basics are not right and you have to mod the life out of it just for it to feel right somethings got to give right?

Hey just out of interest what is not doing it for You? I am the same and I can't put my finger on it. Also how did you get the Korean version? Did the extra ram make a difference
I'm not sure how to feel about the phone. I don't have issues with battery life, got 6h SoT without too much problems. What bothers me is that sometimes the phone has lag, sometimes not - in same situations. Also, today I've noticed a problem probably due to custom buttons bar: Battlenet authenticator menu button, usually puts 3 dots in the soft launch (on M8 at least) is gone on G3...
And that sudden lag... G3 takes literally double the time to go to apps list, to open an app, to shut it down.. 3GB RAM version.
