[Q] Rooting my N7 so I can install Greenify.

Ok, I'd like to root my N7 so I can install Greenify. I'm very happy with the stock 4.2.2 though.
In my case, which ROM should I use?

If you're happy with stock 4.2.2 ROM then you should just stick with it. All you have to do is unlock and root. Then you're good to go.

Go back to 4.2.2 with 4.3 bootloader and radio.

Coming from factory image 4.3 rooted, if i want to revert back to 4.2.2 , will there be issues? Thanks!
Using 4.3 bootloader n radio on 4.2.2 won't cause any issues. At least I haven't had any trouble.

That's not stock, you only have to read the title: 4.3 stock (deodexed, rooted, busybox)
You have it right there, under "Scenario 1" two paragraphs later: http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...-to-android-4-3-jwr66v-and-root-it-right-now/

That link is stock, only it is already rooted. The deodex version is not like stock, but there is a link for an odexed version also. If one doesn't want busybox, all one has to do is uninstall it, but for root, probably gonna need it at some point.

Anyway to upgrade to 4.3 from 4.2.2 rooted without going back to stock first?

Really cba to go back to stock to then upgrade to 4.3. From 4.2.2 rooted is there any shortcuts?
I found a app called voodoo but don't think 4.3 is supported?

Touchwiz ROM with Google launcher?

I have an MDL S4 that is rooted, has twrp, and an AOSP ROM currently. The only thing that bothers me is a lack of some of the original S4 features.
Is there a TW 4.4.2 ROM that looks like a Google edition ("ok google", swipe for Google now, etc) but has all of the TW settings?
Thanks!

you could try a TW rom (e.g. goldeneye rom and get rid of all the bloatware) and install the google now launcher (link)

Blackbox 3.0 is a pretty good AOSP themed touchwiz. And as long as you have the google search app installed, you can install the Google Now Launcher apk and it will run.
I'm on stock rooted MDL 4.2.2 JellyBean with Google Home Launcher, found apk online and it installed with no issues.
