Need to unroot - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I need to take lg g2 back to store due to problems of resetting, is there anyway to remove to root status?
I have flashed over stock fw but it still states rooted?
Anyway yet to remove this flag?

Root original G2?

Hi everyone, I know already many people asking the same question and thats what im about to do. So I wonder if there is any good way to root my original unlocked G2? And will the guarantee I have on the phone expire?
You can unroot if you need to use your warranty

1. Is warranty and guarantee same?
2. How do I root like that?
3. Will that work with the original G2 and not only at&t, korean etc versions?
Why you need a root? Read the forum all the answers here .

They don't exist. MDL from sammobile or nb1 from xda are the only ones that exist.

Revert to KitKat from CWM

Hey there.
I'm on lollipop stock (lg) rooted with TWRP.
Is it safe to download KitKat stock from and flash from recovery?
Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
You need kitkat baseband. So
do a wipe, flash kitkat baseband for your model and then flash stock kk.zip
Sometimes you may get issues like signal drops etc if you dont flash the correct baseband.

Back up phone once rooted

Everywhere I read to back up before rooting, since the only time I unroot is for updates and those happen rarely I was wondering if there was a disadvantage in backing up the phone using twrp after rooting to always have my latest installs
Thanks

Disadvantages? Losing 2 minutes of your life and space consuming maybe?
So it's better to backup after rooting ?

You can flash the updates via twrp. Why unroot to just take otas when u can flash them? Yes whenever flashing am update always take a backup just in case something goes sour.
