im a jade user and now i have this made craze to try the android(no way to load android on the jade) so im planning on a tatoo can u guys kindly advise i know it does not have 3g(In my country India) and it seems to be the one in my budget so kindly advise

This depends on whether you really need XDA support or not, I know we all here do to tweak our phones and get the most out of it!!
But if you are the types who does not play around much with the phone and wants an Android phone on a budged, I would recommend the Spica (has 3G but no GPS) and a larger screen, and is also way cheaper than the Tattoo.

Way cheaper than the Tattoo? It depends on where you are. My son paid <£110 for a Tattoo off eBay.

Did you mean you seen a fake copy version of Nexus One? All fake phone got look only and normally done in China. It is fake which means inside won't be Android.
It just a normal non-smartphone + less power spec, probably you won't get 1Ghz snap dragon on it. That all.
There are fake nexus one's all over ebay. I think the best way to mod them is for use as a bomb detonators.

The place i see it is UAE on Dubai market and the cost is around $50
don't expect the clone phone to have similar specs as original phone.
you can buy it for your 2 year old son though

You can buy it as a normal phone and have fun on it. Don't expect it load Android and have same performance and functionality as Original one.
Always remember "They is always no FREE meal in this world".
There *are* knockoff phones that run Android. But you won't get official Google Apps or Market access most likely. And even if it really is running Android, there won't be much of a developer community trying to make the software work well on that phone.
Other typical characteristics of many knockoff phones:
- Only 2G/EDGE, no 3G
- Only dual-band GSM, not quad-band
- Poor hardware quality
- Poor software quality
- Poor battery life
- A propensity to not receive your friends' text messages or phone calls all day, leading you to wonder why you haven't heard from them (this happened with me and a friend who got a fake Nokia)
You mostly get one extra features in all FAKE phone:

lol I'm not a blackberry wannabe but this phone has more ram and better cpu and it has captative touch screen(better response) and the hardkeys are better to type since there is no multi touch so.. not worth it?

well, its not a big screen due to the keyboard so i think it isn't a huge problem

Hi, Guys i have a sad news, i will stop all works and definitely leave Xda ....
i have some serious problems with my device and i dont get any support for the works i am doing.
specially from 2011+ community lines of xperia, all work of SDE that i am doing, i am doing them on the x10 then port to 2011 line of xperias
but now my x10 is going crazy and will not take long to die, and the only device that i have in hand is the x10, the website is closed cause it reached the 1 year and it was purchased for 1 year, i am not able to purchase the domain again
i will release last update of 4.1.2 with SuperStamina support and leave
it was a pleasure to work for this device and thanks to everyone that helped, supported, or thanked me when i was working

Thas is not ok to the Developer !!
I think Somc Debrand Engine is most aboitious project on whole XDA.. Sony dropped support to Xperia 2011 and FXP too but Achotjan Didnt!
He brought to us Gignerbread based on Xperia S, ICS based on Xperia S, JB based on 4.1.2 Xperia T... and who know what could be next but it need our help!
So i am asking you all who are using SDE and know what SDE is really about please lets try to make one person who didint give up on us happy and donate to Somc Debrand Engine Project so our developer @Achotjan can buy him selfe a dev phone (Xperia Arc/S)
If we can find 10 - 15 persons who are willing to give or donate 10 - 15 € and wi would have the phone in no time
I have found online an Xperia Arc four 90 - 120$ in perfect condition son only 100$ (not much)
I sead that i will donate every week 10€ to SDE
If you are with me please comment, donate and wee can be really an admirable Xperia 2011 community

Hi, xperia play problem is releated to the fact that i need to do somme special works about the camera the keys for playing etc... and as i havent the device its dificult and taking a lot of time.
however saying unsupporteddosent mean that ther will be no release for xperia Play, the ICS rom was abandonned for alll devices not only Play the cause was my pc's HDD and the fact that i lost all my work .
now as i Succesfully maked the SuperStamina to work on SDE i will need to do a kernel for all device on wich i will release the 4.1.2 SDE (if i continue the work of caurse) that mean i can tweakit to use more system place to have succesfully runing SDE on xperia Play
the reason i am leaving is that my last device is almost dead so i will not have any device on wich i can work
if the donnation process work, and i was ableto get a 2011 device of caurse i will make aversion for xperia Play, but hardware releated stufs are not supported but that could be fixed by any other moder or developer who have the device so its not somethink critical

Hi, I can donate to you a Xperia Play.. But it has the LCD broken and also you have to replace the flex cable, ALS chip and is missing the power button. If you want it I will donate it for you. But you will need to repair it of course.

bythe way i has fixed the security bootlop problem on 4.1.2 and its working fine now, also SuperStamina is ok too, just need to compile a kernel
working on systemUI fix for data enable and disable widget to work
when done shuld be released as RC for all 2011 line

Sorry for such stupid question, does the 2011 line includes play?
And also, there's a 400mb system kernel for neo l ics, so the partition method should work on jb too

Hi yes man it include xperia Play, and for kernel, i will provide a custom kernel with the rom for all HDPI devices (for now)
with Super Stamina and custom partition table

now two of my old friends @Achotjan (know him from the X10 days) & @nickholtus (know him from the Arc/Play days) are both interested in these devices...
both are very good devs and have worked on challenging projects in the past and still continue to support devices...
now here is the best part.. both are happy and willing to work on these devices have agreed to swap the devices once they are done with their projects!
thats means with the single device you guys donated to me you will now have 3 devs working on it (initially I worked on them and now these two will take it over from here)...
i just want one promise from you guys @Achotjan & @nickholtus) that both of you will continue to develop for these devices and exchange them mutually!
i personally think this is a really good thing...

Hey guys I know that I havent been around much, been busy with **** loads of stuff..
I had already stopped development on the Play after some issues with some devs here...
anyways, i was recently approached by @nickholtus asking me if i can give my Xperia Play to him for development as he wanted to work on it but didnt have working device...
since the community donated this device to me, I am willing to return it back to the community!
so if you guys can find a willing trusted developer who will work on this device let me know and I will arrange for the device to be sent to him/her..
@nickholtus has already shown interest for the Play.. anyone else you guys considering?

I am very interested yes, as i am already working On the 3.4 kernel, but without a play it is very hard.
So if you guys agree...
I am interested in it,between i don't have any android right now so would be good to start on something new.
I have two Plays, but I would be willing to give out my Verizon one if a dev is going to work on anything 3.4 kernel or 4.2 - 4.4 related for it, even though it'll be a long shot. It's not tip top shape with older battery, but fully functional.
I simply have been neglicting my Plays since I haven't have time to game much lately.

Ok so a very interesting thing has happened...
I am giving back two of the phones donated to me:
Xperia Play
Xperia S
now two of my old friends @Achotjan (know him from the X10 days) & @nickholtus (know him from the Arc/Play days) are both interested in these devices...
both are very good devs and have worked on challenging projects in the past and still continue to support devices...
now here is the best part.. both are happy and willing to work on these devices have agreed to swap the devices once they are done with their projects!
thats means with the single device you guys donated to me you will now have 3 devs working on it (initially I worked on them and now these two will take it over from here)...
i just want one promise from you guys @Achotjan & @nickholtus) that both of you will continue to develop for these devices and exchange them mutually!
i personally think this is a really good thing...
if anyone has any objection do let me know.. if everyone is cool with it, i will make arrangements to ship the device to these devs...
i really hope this will boost development for these devices

I dont see how anybody could object. I'm sure both people are very competent developers and I think we can all agree any work for our device would be greatly appreciated. So thank you to all 3 of you.
