Does anyone have the N9005XXUBMJ1 modem? I have rooted the phone with de LA Vega method and all are fine, I just need this modem to be fully stock in a rollback scenario.

Hey guys. So basically I rooted my phone using root de la vega method keeping my knox at 0x0. I checked for new ota update and there seems to be a new one available. So my question is if I download and install the latest ota, will I lose my root? And will that also trip knox? Should I just repeat root de la vega with newer firmware? Im confused. ....

Which firmware are you in currently?
If you have rooted your phone, I strongly suggest you to stay away from OTA as it will cause issue to your phone. If you want to keep root and updated to the latest firmware, and if you are still using MJ1 or MJ3 firmware, you can try the method in the following thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2522729
I used that method to update from MJ1 to MJ7 via MOP with root retain.

Hi all. Have N9005 with MJ7 XME unit. Rooted with de LA Vega since MJ1.
I accidentally installed a 4.51MB update via OTA and have lost my root access.
Question, how can I get root access back without tripping Knox and/or downgrading to MJ1.
Appreciate any assistance relevant to the problem I have.
Thanks.

How can you OTA update if your phone has been rooted.
BTW I affraid that you can not downgrade to MJ1 as well as get root without tripping Knox atm.
you can't root without trip knox.
afaik ota is possible if he using wanam to set fake status to official.
At this point, can I still run de la vega? On an MJ7 image I downloaded?

The ONLY safe way to upgrade was with MOP... Since you did it the Samsung way you are now stuck with the updated bootloader and no way to root without tripping Knox...
How you didn't know this is beyond me since it's all over the forum....
Thanks all for the replies. My loss then for not thronging the threads.

Ok you cannot root without tripping knox now.
Hello, I've got an I9505 MH8 stock rom 4.2.2. Rooted with safe root and knox not voided.
I want to know if it is possible to upgrade to 4.3 or 4.4 but maintaining my current bootloader so it can be possible to downgrade.

I think
Maybe use stock custom touchwiz
Wanam, omega, etc.....
Yes. I m on old bootloader to. I m using the custom rom echoe v16 the 4.4.2. All works fine. You should try.

I'm also on old bootloader. You just need to find a custom rom, whether Touchwiz or AOSP based, that doesn't require you to upgrade to the new bootloader. Use a custom recovery and flash it.
An example is Goldeneye rom found in Android Development Forums.
The echoe v16 doesn't require new bootloader, but on instalation you need to chose custom and on kernel option chose jeboo kernel

I'd like to know if it's possible to use mobile ODIN to put KitKat on my n9005.
I want to do so to keep root, but i think mobile ODIN doesn't do boatloaders, right?
Can i do it? Or pc odin is the one choice here? Thanks!

There are not one but two threads on the subject in the General sub-forum, and one has Mobile Odin Pro in the title.

OK, now there are THREE threads more or less on that
But either way at least one of them is pretty clear on how you can use MOP to update and keep root AND keep knox 0x0; also very clear on the special sequence (using first MOP and then normal Odin) needed for the 4.4 bootloader (which, if you search carefully, you will see that was suggested/requested to Chainfire by me).
