Stock Launcher App Grid - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
How do we get the 5 x 5 grid on the homescreen running stock samsung launcher? Currently its 4 x 4 grid plus a row for dock.
I do not want to use any 3rd party launcher (e.g. Nova, TFS, Apex, etc). I need this to work on stock samsung launcher.
Please help.
Thanks in advance.

[Q] 3rd party Launchers (Apex, Nova Etc.)

Hey Guys,
Just coming from a Nexus 4 running APEX launcher with a 5x6 icon grid on the home screen and one thing that is really going to bug me, if I keep Touchwiz on the S4, is only having a 4 column Icon grid, despite the large S4 screen and high resolution.
First question is therefore, is it possoble to to increase the number of icons on the screen from touchwiz. Unfortunately I suspect the answer to this is No.
Secondly, If I use the Apex or Nova launcher, which of the new S4 features will I loose. for istance will air gestures and air view still still work?
1st u answered ur own question
2nd u will only lose widgets those features are for apps not launcher

[Q] need help finding launcher

Right now I'm currently running nova launcher on a new note 3. Unfortunately I dont like the launcher other then the fact that I can adjust the grid size (5 apps down) and that I can change the icon theme. Other then that I don't like it as much as the stock touchwhiz. I'm wondering if anybody knows a plain launcher that just leaves everything running as stock except for grid customization and if possible icon themes. Thanks!
Nova, as well as Apex, are Vanilla Android launchers. They stick closest to the Stock Android experience. As plain as they get.
What you're looking for is a Touchwiz inspired launcher. (About as far from plain Stock Android as you can get.) Try S Launcher or Galaxy Launcher.

Try Yahoos's Aviate or Terrain Home.

[Q] Touchwiz grid editor

Im using Albe95 LolliROM 2.0 S5 lollipop launcher..
anyone help me how get 6 icon hotseat and 5x6 appdrawer and home screen
The stock Touchwiz launcher isn't adjustable like that, not without completely tearing apart the launcher and rewriting it. Someone has made those modifications, and you can download the result here. If you don't care too much about Touchwiz, you can also use Apex Launcher or Nova Launcher. Both allow you to customize the screen grid.

Gestures and third party launchers

I'm thinking of getting the 6T but have a few queries.
I like the gestures but do they only work on the stock launcher or do they work ok in nova launcher for example? I tried the mate 20 pro and the gestures didn't work well unless the stock launcher was used.
How much customisation is in the stock launcher? Can app names be edited or flow into 2 lines? Can you make folders, what size grids are available etc?
And finally can you change the shelf to be the Google feed instead?
I'm using the gestures with Nova. No issues. T-Mobile 6t
The gestures are OS level, not launcher level. I'm also using Nova with my own custom launcher gestures and I've had no issues with inputting either sets of gestures.
Gestures are working with nova, but not as good as stock:
-on stock, when you go home, animation shrinks into an app icon
-on nova application shrinks to the center of the screen. Also homescreen icons are present on this animation, while nova appears when it is over. I hope, they will fix it.

Animated clock icon in default launcher?

Why are the animated icons of clock and calendar apps not working?
The feature was introduced back in Adnroid O, and it doesn't work with default launcher, but works with third party launchers like Nova Launcher.

Blame Nokia, This launcher is based of NBBLauncher which is more feature rich launcher found on chinese devices. The new, stock nbb launcher based launcher has many features missing like app slices, actions etc.
