[HOW TO] Install Flash Player 11.1.115.16 4.0+ Support Noob (Simple) Version

This tutorial has been developed for the user wanting native Flash Support when browsing the web. We have tested the Flash Player through a number of sites and have seen flawless performance.
The method used here also allows any application to use the built in Flash Player, like BBC Player which requires Flash Player to run properly. Remember, Android is phasing out Flash Player, so this tutorial will become more important as we grow towards updated Android OS Platforms. We currently use Adobe Flash Player 11.1.115.16 4.0+
Why use Flash Player on the Kindle? You are able to obtain Free Content from these providers:

Flash Player Step 2: Using Google Play download and install Dolphin Browser
Flash Player Step 3: Using Google Play download and install Opera Browser
Flash Player Step 3.1: Using Silk Browser download and install Boat Browser
Flash Player Step 4: Using Root Explorer or similar application, install /sdcard/download/Adobe_Flash_Player_11.1.115.16_4.0+.apk
Flash Player Step 5: Using Google Play download and install SWF Player
Flash Player Step 6: Now launch either Dolphin or Opera Web Browser, go to any Flash Site. At some point you will be asked which browser to use by default. Play with them both, I like both and have had a hard time deciding which one is better. So far Dolphin appears to open just about any site whereas Opera seems to be a little more picky on the content.
Note: The Amazon Silk Web Browser loaded as the default browser on the Kindle 7" HD does not support Flash content nor will it work with this new plugin. This is the reason for installing Opera and Dolphin.

Krsmqn,
That is the version we use in this post - Adobe Flash Player 11.1.115.16 4.0+.:good:
Boat Browser works great for Flash as well. I prefer version 4.6.1. I personally go back and forth between Boat and Dolphin depending on version. I've never been a fan of Opera.

Redwolf379,
Now this is one I have not tried. I will take a peek at it tonight, Thank you for the feedback.:good:
Boat is fairly similar to Dolphin in settings and privacy features. The new version has static bookmarks that I dont much care for but 4.6.1 does not. I will upload this version shortly for you to try. Also, thanks for all your hard work and dedication to the community. Ive been following several of your posts/guides and am thankful we have you here to help those who need it.

Redwolf379,
I had time to test Boat Browser today. I think I like it better than Dolphin. It is a very snappy and fast browser, even
with complex content sites or Flash sites. Anyways, I am impressed and thank you for the recommendation. The
Boat Browser footprint is small, here is the comparison:
1. Google Chrome 19.3 MB
2. Boat Browser 2.1 MB
3. Mozilla Nightly 25.97 MB
4. Opera 8.49
5. Dolphin 4.78 MB
So, the above answers why each one accelerates in it's own area. Mozilla is loaded with features but look at the
Footprint, the cost is speed, Mozilla Nightly is by far the slowest of the bunch. Both Dolphin and Boat Browser
have a large array of options, so in the end you can get all the features of Mozilla with the state of the art
performance.
Great to hear! I stumbled across it when I was looking for something to compare Dolphin to some time ago and really liked it. I have both Boat and Dolphin installed but Boat has been my daily driver browser for a while now.

Personally i find the cm9 browser to work the best with flash and the fastest browser even vs chrome.

mindmajick,
That is one I forget to use, yet it is quite universal and supports Flash. I still find Boat Browser to be a bit faster than the rest, even with Flash Player active. The funny part? I disable Flash when I use this site since the scripts are massive with lots of Ad pointers active. Flash disabled on this site increases the performance 10 fold.
Thank you mindmajick for taking the time to post your comments:good:.

Browser HELP

I'm missing my quick controls from my note 2like crazy!!!! Anyone have luck with an app for them. Just noticed in the browser there isn't an option like with the note 2 to clear cookies and cache, unless I'm just missing it. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

There's also this aosp installer (if you have root). This has an option to also install chromesync to sync your bookmarks to the aosp browser
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mkrtchyan.aospinstaller
I haven't tried it yet, I'll update when I root. I'm going to try installing cyanogen's modded aosp browser and chromebookmarkssyncadapter to see if they work
AOSP Browser Working
I hope this helps, I have the aosp browser installed working flawlessly on my gn3. All of my google bookmarks sync (go to settings->google account-> sync bookmarks), the bookmarks widget works, the quick controls work, even the stylus works in it. This is just like having my galaxy nexus except faster and smoother. Not sure if you have to freeze or uninstall the stock samsung browser first, but I went into the system apps and renamed sbrowser.apk and odex to .bak files to disable them before using this app from the playstore:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.mkrtchyan.aospinstaller
You do need root access for this, otherwise you can install the app from digitalcookies in the app store, but you won't get bookmarks to sync with that one
Without high jacking the thread, how can I get the desktop flag to be fixed in the stock browser?

How to find your missing apps

Many people want to add some apps to their Nexus Player before that app has officially been released for Android TV. To accomplish this, you can either install the app via the Play Store in your web browser or you can sideload the app. The problem is that on the Nexus Player, you can't see these apps that aren't optimized for Android TV! But don't worry, there are a couple of work arounds:
BEST OPTION: Use chainfire's Sideload Launcher app (See this article for details: http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/1...ndroid-tv-users-easily-start-sideloaded-apps/)
You can install a custom launcher like Go Launcher, Nova Launcher, etc.
You can find/open all apps here: Settings --> Apps (you'll probably be able to find your app in "Downladed Apps")

Few things failing on moto x pure with cyanogenmod roms

As a new forum member I cannot post to the dev forum.
I am unlocked and rooted and loving the Trupure rom but I dig the cyanogenmod roms, too, like AIPC and whatnot. Trouble is, cast (netflix, actually) doesn't work on them for me and neither does rom toolbox pro or lightning launcher. Both apps crash.
Lemme qualify cast not working; it will fire-up and I can see my apps and whatnot but when I open netflix and hit play video and audio drops. If I stop play I can see the netflix app on my TV but as soon as I hit play - black screen and no audio.. Cast does connect easily and quickly, though.
I have a firewall as well as xprivacy with the same settings I use on trupure. Cast and netflix work fine for me in trupure. Also, lightning launcher and rom toolbox pro work fine for me in trupure.
Any advice?
