Is it possible to disable the various SPen sounds? For example the air command popup sound.
Same question for vibration.
(Phone is rooted)
Thanks!
Does Settings --> Controls --> S Pen --> Pen attach/Detach Sound --> Off not work?
The rest of the settings is under Settings --> Device --> Sounds --> /touch Sounds/Haptic Feedback. (The Pen attach/Detach Sound sound setting is here, too.)

I've already disabled everything in there but the Air Command popup sound still happens.

Hm. Well, you could set System Sounds to silent.
Maybe someone else has a better idea
Hey!
Any solution so far? I'm looking for one as well, but so far only disabling all system sounds seems to help.
Same here the phone is rooted and tried, turning off all vibes and sounds, still same. I think that there might be something that needs to be changed in build prop, maybe? As for the sound maybe it can be deleted from UI folder .I'm not an intensive Pen user but it's a bit annoying to make the sound and vibe, though most likely this is useful if you take it out by mistake or play with the pen in/out and you forget dunno .
If there is a solution to put everything on silent ,that would be fantastic.

Whenever I press the start button, and work with pulldown menus, there is loud annoying click which I am unable to switch off or lower its volume, because if I lower the volume, I will also lower the volume for the ringtone. I found the file which does the "click" but am unable to delete it. Any suggestions?
Goto Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> Disable sounds for Events

This is obvious but not good. If I do this, there won't be any notifications for all of the events, like missed phone call, new text message etc.

Thank you, it worked. I installed mute files, and clicks disappeared!
Does anyone know how t change the tap sounds on the mogul? I am wanting the sounds from windows 5.
Settings --> Sounds and Notifications
It's on the first tab.
x.
Never liked sounds however there's vibration feed back like the lg touch screens that give really nice touch assurance.

Do you know the name of the file that the 'tick' sound is? I would like to change it also. In the settings / sounds and notifications section there is only options to turn off or soft or loud. I would like to change the actual sound file....

I have a strange problem,
After restoring some apps i can't get the air command to show up..
Pressing the s-pen button does nothing
And detaching the s-pen usually triggers air command (I've set it that way in the settings)
But now it only pops up a message on top left "S-pen has been detached"
Any idea why?

Bump, still cant get this to work.. theres probably something conflicting with air command just like accessibility conflicts with one handed operation

Settings > Controls > Air Command
Now I saw it.
I continue to have a problem with Air Command disappearing. I ended up completely wiping and reflashing along with wiping my internal (which I never did coming to Sacs_N4-N3), everything is running smoother now, and AC was working. Then I tweaked the animation settings (going from .25 on all to 1x, and changing from stock speed in Nova to Relaxed), making sure I paid attention to where the setting were to change back if anything happened. And sure enough, AC disappeared. Even after changing everything back and rebooting I can't get it to come back. Is there anything I can flash/push to system to get it to come back (framework, systemUI) or some setting I should change? And I've tried just toggle off/on in settings with no luck. Thanks in advance.
I had the same problem. Obviously there is something in the settings that mess with the Air command. When I did factory reset and no restore settings restore from google everything started working again. Somehow, I've changed something that broke the air command service from starting and listening to the pen bus messages
Interesting. I have all animations turned off (under dev settings) and Apex is set to the highest speed. Air Command works perfectly fine.

AC issue - Any suggestions?
I'm having the same issue; I get a response with the AC but it quickly disappears.... Any advice??
All notifications come silently, with vibrations only, although their sound is on. I think, that is because I use DND rules.
Does anyone have the issue too? How to fix that?
I have 3 devices and all of them have the same issue. The problem came, I think, when they got Android 8 or 8.1.
Just Google the do not disturb mode
Try and see difference between the modes
Look at automatic rules for DND
Voila

No-no. Of course, when DND is ON, I don't hear any notifications.
But! When DND is OFF, notifications don't play sounds.
Restart helps, but not always.

No. Maybe there is some app which causes the problem. And I am almost sure about it. Because just my phones have the problem and I cannot Google similar symptoms. But what the app - I don't know.
My unusual apps:
- ACR (audio call recorder)
- Google Fit
- SoloLearn
- Zedge

I use Google fit too and except a little battery drain ? i have my notification sound.
So you're not rooted etc... Just using app from playstore.
Start eliminate them one by one
1-Check apps that use accessibility service
(under settings / accessibility)
2-Check apps that use notification permissions
(under settings / applications / show permissions and look the notification tab)
3-Did the problem hapenned after a "specific date" it could also be an app update
Zedge app is made to customize notification sound try uninstall this one first.
Also is this happening for all app?
Did you put the ringtone sound to the lowest?
Because on stock notification sound volume is the same as ringtone one. (except with root - but maybe an app you used put it to the lowest)
Putting ringtone sound maybe would debug the thing.
Do you hear the ringtone when a call comes in?
I'm sorry bro i can just suggest some idea you already tried. I hope someone got the same problem and manage to fix. Maybe you'll be the one that will help future user in this case ?
Good luck with this. Sometimes solution is very simple. Sometimes it just need a factory reset. But you don't learn where you f*cked up
