How to get rid of menu clicks? - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 General

Whenever I press the start button, and work with pulldown menus, there is loud annoying click which I am unable to switch off or lower its volume, because if I lower the volume, I will also lower the volume for the ringtone. I found the file which does the "click" but am unable to delete it. Any suggestions?

Goto Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> Disable sounds for Events

This is obvious but not good. If I do this, there won't be any notifications for all of the events, like missed phone call, new text message etc.

Thank you, it worked. I installed mute files, and clicks disappeared!

MenuPop.wav removal? How to?

I bet I'm not the only one that finds the Menupop sound VERY annoying, specially in a crowded area. You need to do something on the XDA and you click the start button (CLICK!) and the crowd goes silent for a sec and turns to you, wondering wth is going on.
So, anyway of turning this sound off? renaming or deleting MenuPop.wav doesn't work. For some odd reason Microsoft has made this sound "an integral part of the pocket pc operating system".
you can disable this by pressing "settings" -> "sounds and notifications" -> then uncheck the box of "events" from the enable sounds for"...right?
What else does this turn off? It seems to turn off a lot of sounds, and not only the click and pop sounds.
Thanks though.
from what i remember it turns of the menu sounds, the clicking sounds when you press an app and other related items. it doesn't turn off the alarms, sms notifications, calendar / task notices, etc.

Disabling menu sound

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have a T-Mobile WM5 MDA and just updated it to the shipping ROM that came out today.
All is well, except for whenever I expand the start menu or a softkey menu, it makes a click sound as loud as the ringtone volume, and whenever I select an item, it does it again. This didn't happen before, so either it wasn't the default or I had worked out how to turn it off. However I can't seem to now.
Little help? Thanks much.
Start -> Settings -> Personal -> Sounds and Notifications
Uncheck next to Events
Voila.
Brilliant, thanks.

Mystery vibration

Just got a TD 2. Really love it after using Eten M600 for years.
But, somethings got me stumped. Frequently the device vibrates for a few seconds without any connection to an obvious event. I've checked that the phone ringer is not set on vibrate. I also checked sound & notifications - theres no event that I can see set to vibrate. After it happens, I check the notifications - and there is no event listed there.
So what is causing this to happen?

does it vibrate when u touch the dispaly?
No, just vibrates for no apparent reason.
No calls or events or notifications.
There must be a cause - I just cannot think what it could be.

not necessary.
just set to normal profile then go to settings, sound and under ring, you should see "vibrate" which is not what you desired. change it back to your ringtone and you're done.
also keep in mind that if you have any sort of ringtone manager like ringo or photo contacts those might be the culprit. I have ringo and because it overrides windows defaults it sets them to silent so IT can control your rings and alerts.

Ring & Vibrate at the same time?

Hi,
I cannot seems to find a ring option that will also allow vibrate. For now, I can only choose Ring or Vibrate but not both. When I choose Vibrate profile and try to turn on the volume, it automatically change to normal. TIA.

Go to settings/sound/ the third one down where it says "vibrate" put a check mark in it. You have to have the ringer volume up in order to put a check there.
Agree w/ earlier guidance.
It also depends on the ROM.
Most, but not all ROMs allow for this functionality.
I've only seen a few that didn't.

Does it vibrate for other things? Like when you turn it on or while typing?
Get Sound Manager from the market. Open it up and press menu then Vibrate Settings. Set to Vibrate Whenever Possible.
