So far, I suspect that we (on Exynos SM-N900) don't have this efuse ?
I'm also waiting for an answer from an expert.
I'm definitely not an expert, but this is what works on my N900A phone:
Simultaneously hold the Volume Down, Power, and Home buttons.
After a few moments you'll see a "Warning!! A custom OS can cause critical problems (blah blah blah)..." screen.
Press the Volume Up button and you'll see a screen called "Odin Mode" that shows various information, including your Knox Warranty Void status (0x0=warranty intact, 0x1=warranty voided).
To reboot the phone normally, hold the three buttons down again until the "Warning!!..." screen comes up, then press the Volume Down button to cancel and restart the phone.
We don't have any information about Knox Warranty on Exynos SM-N900

No, that's the screen that displays Knox warranty status on my US phone. Hmmm...
Indeed I don't see it either in mine.

Confirm knox thing doesn't appear on N900 since my friend get replace Note 3 rooted then flash stock in Samsung service center.

KNOX efuse is exclusive to SD800. One more reason to get Exynos variant of N3.
I would be so happy if the n900 doesn't have that knox thing yaay
Sent from my SM-N900
So, can anyone confirm that N900 doesn't have the Knox Security stuff or is it just hidden somewhere?
IDK, I haven't even heard about it in this device but Chainfire did indeed made the first root for this device warning us about the Knox flag, I really can't think why Chainfire would tell us something if it didn't had it but I really wish it isn't true and the Exynos version is knox trigger free cause I rooted this bad boy as soon as I got it, not that I have warranty in this grey market (eBay) phone anyway.

N900 has KNOX software. It does NOT have KNOX flag/efuse. Efuse is built-in on the SD800 hardware.
That's great then. We can safely root.

To see if you have a valid warranty or if the device warranty is void, follow these instructions:
Press Volume Up + Home Button + Power Button (all at once). You will be prompted with a menu talking about custom OS installation and press the Volume Up button to continue.
In the upper left corner in very small writing, your device should show Knox Counter 0x0 (warranty intact) or 0x1 (warranty void). If you do not see this on your device, another option is to look at the Device Status settings:
Settings | General | About Device | Status
From the above menu, scroll to Device Status and if it says "Official" your warranty is valid. If it says "Custom", your warranty is void. There is a catch to this... I have a WIND Mobile device but I have rooted and installed the Telus ROM. I then changed the regional settings to Telus so it says the Device Status is "Official". My warranty is void because changing this downloaded the "My Telus" app as a permanent application and there is no way to rid this without installing the WIND ROM and changing the regional settings back to WIND which will alter the Device Satus to "Custom".
Hope this helps!

I'm assuming you have the snapdragon version not the exynos because from I read so far, there is no indication of a knox counter on the n900.
The other question I have if you have the exynos version is: if you fully reinstall a completely new rom (official) than does it still say "unofficial". I ask this because other posts say that when you flash a new rom, it shows as "official".
Thanks.

Just letting people know.
I'm using a N9005 and I get Knox Counter 0x1 (warranty void) in the download screen
and using the Settings | General | About Device | Status Device Status and it says "Custom", so warranty is void.
Ah well still prefer having a rooted phone!!

Knox warranty void bit does not appear in the old version of the bootloader, but Samsung has added to the later version.

How to change system status 'Modified' to 'Normal' in setting - About device and 'official' in download mode
Here lot people asking about system setting is 'modified' (under setting - about device -status), here is a guide with which you can reset device status to 'Normal'.
Note again you needs to be on stock kernel and stock recovery for this. This won't reset counter as well if your counter is non zero then it won't work.
Though i never bother for it, because it was known that wiping cache and data from recovery turns it to 'Normal'. so whenever we needs to send it to service center we can do it. In hard brick case you can't access recovery/download mode, but here there is no chance service center can detect your status. so in my point of view there is nothing to bother about device status much but flash counter should always to keep '0', if you are really worrying about warranty. b'coz in partial brick download mode still accessible and they can see your device flash counter, but you can't reset it (b'coz triangle away needs live device to reset counter)

Anyway for those who having concern about device status and still want to change it to 'Normal' here i have find a solution. I don't know till how long it will keep ' Normal' as samsung have some smart checker and can detect root access and again change it to 'Modified' But not to worry, i have mentioned procedure takes few seconds and you can re do anytime.
Still Not tested :
Whether this change status in download mode or not that i couldn't check, b'coz mine status in download mode was already 'Official' Feedbacks are welcome

How to change status [Edit 16Feb13 : If you don't have titanium just read at end of this post]
1.Install and Open Titanium backup and look for 1.SysScope and 2.Enterprise sysscope service 4.1.2.** backup (NOTE : Some ROM only have file 1.sysscope, in that case ignore second)

}
2. click on backup of both files, and select 'Wipe data' for each file (Be careful and just do wipe data, nothing else)
-Reboot device
Now device status should be 'Normal'
[16Feb13] Edit :
I have again got chance to test system status under download mode
It was System status : Custom
status under setting - about device - Normal
So i have tried wiping data for
1.Enterprise sysscope service 4.1.2.** (this was found after new firmware DM2 only)
2.Sysscope 1.1.14
then rebooted device to recovery
reboot device
Reboot to Download mode and surprisingly status in download mode is 'Official' as well under setting - about device - also 'Normal'
If you don't have titanium backup, try this
setting - application manager- All - find both application 1.Enterprise Sysscope service and SysScope and clear data for both
Reboot.
:good: this is the one that i've been waiting for
Thanks doctor.
I want to make it clear. This needs stock recovery, right?I tried it just for fun in my stock rooted DLK7 with custom recovery but nothing changed after rebooting.
Btw in latest Triangle away there is an option to become system to normal and i notice that is freezing SysScope in system.

This guide don't reset counter, this is only for who have status modified under device setting. and if your counter is non zero, this guide won't work.
Edit :
You have edited post after my above reply
Just to add, counter remains 1 if you are using CWM recovery OR custom kernel. Do you using it?
If it is complete stock, and download mode shows counter 'No' then you need to restart after following instruction in OP. does sysScope backup is purple in TB?
Doctor i am only stock from day one...with stock recovery..i havent do backup for syscope ,i clean the cache but nothing..my only problem is that i cant connect with the all share cast because of this
you may have to wipe cache and data to make status official in download mode.

I don't know if there is some part of Knox that is inbuilt, but if I click on the Knox app, samsung asks me to 'install' it
I just tried to 'scrapbook' the screen it displayed and got a toast message saying 'unable to capture screen, DRM protected image'
Just tried taking a screen shot of the Knox app myself Lol
I'm desperately in need of help. I had a rooted Samsung s4 AT&T , running GoldFinger. It worked perfectly for months. Then today, i kept getting this constant error "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped". Long story short, I spent 5 hours trying to fix it with methods on here yet, nothing would work.
At this point my phone has been factory reset and wiped through SAFESTRAP recovery with the same problem continuing. In safestrap I don't know what I accidentally pressed however, I'm now stuck at the black screen with the white Samsung text and it is stuck there completely.

I can only access the stock recovery at this point, I take my phone to my computer, hook it up and try to flash goldfinger again through Odin. . I kept getting a FAILED in Odin , with the error
<ID:0/003> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
I tried every version of Odin, bought 3 new Samsung official usb cords, my drivers installed and updated yet, nothing would work. This is when I start to mess up, I let the anger get the best of me , I started to download ROM after ROM , stock kernels and recoveries, everything. I used every article and website I could find and after 14 hours I still couldn't fix it at all. I decided to take a break, I then open my downloads folder and saw that I had downloaded a bunch of files , different versions . I'm dyslexic and I tend to mix up numbers a lot. However, I usually read and double check what I download but, because of how angry I was , I completely ignored checking. I SCREWED UP
Now , I can't even access the stock recovery and I'm stuck on this screen that says,
“Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again“.
I went on to try KIES's EMERGENCY FIRMWARE RECOVERY . My phone isn't detected , I entered my S/N and tried their Firmware and Initialisation on 2 different computers and nothing worked.
The only thing I can access is Download mode. The text on the left says:

What exactly are the results when you try to flash I337UCUFNB1 stock odin tar using Odin v3.09? A copy and paste of the message section from Odin would be useful.
Hey guys
I may sound noob but the fact that my phone is still under android 5.0.1 drives me crazy (recent apps lag etc).
I've been checking for updates (OTA) but "Latest Updates have already been installed" message pops up.
I bought the phone from Cyprus (2nd hand) and as far as I am concerned it is fully stock (non-rooted).
Was my device supposed to receive the 5.1.1 update OTA, since other Note 4s in Cyprus were updated to 5.1.1 ?
Thanks!
Anyone guys ?
Was you phone rooted before? I am not sure of what i am going to say, but maybe if it was rooted you might not get official OTA. Turn off the phone, press POWER + HOME + VOLUME UP, and on the top left corner theres a Knox counter, check if it is 0x0 or 1x1. I am new to this phone and i have heard in some of the 2014/2015 phones if you root even if you unroot you won't be able to update via OTA. Hope it helps

That's incorrect even if you trip your knox counter you can still receive otas, your phone has to be fully stock however to receive the otas. If you go to settings about and software information your device status should be 'official'. Another way to check is to boot into download mode (Volume Down + Home + Power button) and check if all the system are official. If they are then you are good to go.
OTAs are usually released in waves so that might be the problem.
Anyhow you can manually update your phone using Odin.
Download this firmware file : http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/56036/N910FXXU1COI1_N910FVFG1COH5_CYV/
Then extract it and put your phone in download mode and connect it to your PC then run Odin as admin. (Make sure Kies is uninstalled)
Put the file in PDA and flash the firmware to your device.

First of all thank you for your time!
Device Status in Settings -> About is Official.
So, how can I make sure that this is the right Firmware to flash (as the phone was bought from Cyprus 2nd hand, and Im not sure if the other guy bought it from an other country in Europe) ?
Moreover, If i manually install the firmware file, as you stated, do I need to root the phone or something ? Or the device will be 100% official (its just that you install the update through the pc instead of OTA )?
It seems to be taking too long for the OTA, and that's why I was worried.
Thank you again!

You do not need to be rooted to flash the firmware.
You can install this app on your phone and check your CSC

Might I ask are you in the UK (Your current operator) If so you can attempt to flash the UK firmware.
If however you are living in Greece then you could flash one of the Greece firmwares and then flash a stock ROM (It will require a custom recovery, tripping KNOX counter) without the bloat.
The choice comes down to you, another last resort if you don't want to trip KNOX would be to flash a neighbouring country's firmware.

Different country firmware can be flashed only sometimes it fails (nothing to worry about) in that case you might have re-package the firmware. Meaning you put the CSC from your country into the firmware.
Anyhow I would you to flash this firmware via Odin:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/58473/N910FXXU1COJ3_N910FOXA1COJ3_DBT/
After downloading the firmware extract the file inside (using WinRar or equivalent)
A factory reset might be required to back-up everything from your phone as the internal storage will be wiped.
Uninstall Samsung Kies, install these USB drivers: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347849220
Download Odin: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347836222
Power down your phone, hold volume down key + Home key and power on the device. Press volume up to continue when promoted.
Connect your phone to your PC via USB.
Run Odin as admin and and put the extracted firmware file in AP and press start.
The phone should now reboot, let it do it's thing. If after around 10 minutes it's still at the Samsung screen.
Power off the device hold volume up + home + Power the device on and using the volume keys select wipe data and cache, then reboot.
Good luck, as always I must give the disclaimer that anything you do with your device is your responsibility.
Hi all and thanks for letting me join XDA. This is my first time at this so here goes...
S7 Edge UK Vodafone been working fine till overnight samsung update...I think??
Woke up and turned my phone on and get the Usual Samsung Logo but with an unusual red text saying "KERNEL IS NOT SEANDROID Custom binary is blocked by frp Lock"
Needless to say phone is now useless.
SO... here is what I tried so far.
1) downloaded Odin 3 and I can get it to talk connect in download mode OK.
2) Downloaded UK Vodaphone Stock Rom (2hour download!!) loaded into Odin 3 but hangs and does not work.
I thought it may not be able to flash because of FRP lock? so tried various youtube ways to disable using Odin3 but no luck.
It seems to me that the phone is communicating to the PC because it shows a connection at Odin3, however getting rejected during upload.
Q1. Can I flash My Samsung S7 edge using my trusty windows.7 64bit with Odin3? or does it have to be an XP machine?
Q2. Keeps hanging at PIT Mapping. Am I missing some other software?
Q3. Can my S7 be flashed if FRP Lock is ON?
Really appreciate any help as I am pulling my hair out... and aint much left.
Cheers Jeff

Try using smart switch emergency reset

Ahhhhhh!!!!!!! S7 Edge. Still having issues. Help please.
So much time spent trying to get my S7 edge working and convinced its all down to Googles FRP lock and this is the reason why...
When I visited the Vodafone shop a sympathetic assistant took my phone away spent an hour on it on his system and he said... "I managed to get the software to install although it should not because FRP SHOULD prevent this, however here we goes...
Ok.. Now I am a happy bunny UNTIL I signed into my Google account and started re installing apps from play store and guess what??
Bloody phone froze up!!!. I Force restart and back to square one again (Stuck at samsung boot up screen)
Took it back to the shop again but no luck getting it to work.
Tried to flash it myself using Patched version Odin3 and Voda sofware downloaded via Samfirm as recommended but just freezes at Initialization.
Phone Displays the following...
Odin Mode
Download Speed: Fast
Product Name: SM-G935F
Current Binary: Samsung Official
FRP Lock: ON
Secure Download: Enabled
Warranty: Void: 0 (0x0000)
AP SIREV: B:2 K:0 S:1
Any Ideas ??
Really really appreciate any help. Jeff

Clearly your knox counter is intact. So just give it to samsung service centre and get it fixed. It will cost less than 6$ for service I guess.
The way I see it 'Reboot and freezing' is the real issue.
Since the technical guy already flashed your phone once and it still didnt work. Its better to go to samsung service centre instead. And when they give your phone back, just sit there for 10-15mins and try to setup the phone. You can give it back if it freezes again.
The google FRP lock is there for added safety dont worry. You will be able to use your phone again after entering your account details.
A lot of us here at xda have knox warranty void. So we dont go to samsung service centre at first. Since your knox warranty is intact you can go and argue with them and get it fixed.
Look, your options are limited. The only stuff you can flash via odin is official firmware. Anything else will void warranty.
You can't do advanced stuff and fix your phone with knox intact state.
So 'Go to Samsung Authorized service centre!'
Thank you
Thanks Silver King thats good advice. I believe the Phone is still in it's 2 year Samsung warenty and the only issue stopping me is that the drop in service center is some miles away plus I cannot get the SIM and Memory card draw out. We all had a go including Vodafone shop....but no luck.
Family photos have probably gone on phone memory but I want to save my SD Card. Some very important business info stored.
Q1. What a Knox Counter?
Q2. Not really bothered about keeping Vodafone so can't I install another more univarsal softwate?
Chat Soon

Try install unbranded version for your region, it will not break Knox

I may just give that a try before I make a 50 mile trip to a Samsung Store.
So I need to download the UK S7edge firmware? Not Vodafone?
Cheers
