I'm on CM10.1.
I tried using this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2025486
Nothing changed. My phone is too quiet.
Be specific. Do you mean your ear speaker, back speaker, headphone jack or all of the above? My N4 is more than loud enough on all three.

Back speaker.
I'm on CM10.1 nightly 1231 and it's fine. "Loudness" is subjective. To me it's loud(er) than the Galaxy Nexus and that's good enough to me.
I barely hear anything.

Something might be wrong with yours, this is the first android device where speaker volume isn't an issue (my benchmark is always the iphone which has a great speaker and the n4 measures up.)
Now headphone out is lower than it should be but not a major issue.

Sounds like something is wrong with your phone. Are you setting it down with the speaker facing down?
Are you on Crack?!

Should I try to flash another rom? Everything is decent except the speaker.

I haven't tried any rom. When I got the phone, I rooted right away and flashed CM10.1.
I know for a fact this is a defect. RMA if you still can.
Man my phone is loud as hell :good:
I'm going to try PA. If that doesn't work, i'll RMA.
I've had 14 Nexus 4s, trust me.
Damn. Do I have to send the phone back first?

When shaking my S4 I hear this loud rattling noise, I just noticed it yesterday and my Vibrating doesn't work. Any idea what could be causing this I talked to Samsung and they going to fix it but now I'll be out of a phone for a week and a half
Oh no, the GS4 is turning into the iPhone 5.

Every iphone 5 I picked up, including the 3 I owned all had rattling issues. Seemed like something was loose in them. My friend's iPhone 5 didn't do this.

Be careful. Read the fine print. If they find evidence of damage from handling, they will bill you repair costs...

ive had this phone in the case since day one
Open camera app, shake phone again... rattle gone?
What happened is the little counterweight came off of the motor. The motor still spins, but since the counterweight popped off, you can't tell. Best bet is warranty, or replacing the motor yourself.

Hey Fellow Enthusiasts,
I dropped my Note 3 two days ago, with a case obviously. There are no damages, but I'm just afraid the impact will cause the hardware parts to go loose, like you know I'm afraid the parts on the mainboard/motherboard of the phone will go loose. Can you guys tell me whether it will go loose because I'm really worried about my phone.

I dropped it from around chest/shoulder height, I'm around 5 feet 8. Will the drop cause the hardware parts to go loose? Like will the parts come off?
Dropped mine protected by a Spigen Slim Armor case about 3-4 feet to concrete. Not a sound and it bounced 4"......works as well as or better than new. There is zero visible damage.

You droped it with case on and not from a big height. Dont worry it would have done nothing to hardware.
Do you hear sounds of parts moving or you phone feels glitchy when holding it?
Sent from Galaxy Note 3 SM-9005
Don't worry about the parts on the inside, unless something is not working you don't have to worry, pretty much everything is either solded or attached with screws. Takes a lot of force for something to actually go "loose" from the outside.

Stop being so paranoid - you dropped it and you seem to have had no ill effects.
Nostradamus isn't currently an xda member - I think he was banned for future trolling - so no-one here knows what is going to happen to your device in the future.
If it suddenly stops working in some way, you may have damaged it. Until then, stop worrying, use your phone and stop with the "will-it-won't-it" posts - they're pointless.
This may have been asked before but I haven't found a concrete answer.
I randomly smelt my headphone socket and it smelt very sweet, like a pear drop. Same for the USB socket but not as strong. What do you think is happening?
Thanks!

I read about this here on XDA and it means the battery is leaking. I know it sounds strange but if you can, do the following :
1) take a nandroid backup
2) go stock
3) take it in for warranty and get it examined.
You might get a battery replacement if you're covered under warranty and are 100% stock.
I'm not totally sure but if the battery was already leaking I doubt the phone would work at all anymore.

I'll give that a go, Thanks! A leaking battery seems dangerous.
:good: I hope it gets sorted out without any hassle!
I see people here ignore the terrible sound of the speakers!!! In YouTube, Spotify, in calls. Its sounds like 90's phone, not like 2017 phone. Almost 1 year and google cant process any solution for that?! As anybody know which solution cant we get without damaging the grill of the phone?? Even to root my phone to get solution! I just can't hear this speakers anymore!!!
Edit:
3/4 clicks with tooth stick on the up speaker grill and no buzz any more!!!
I did an rma for that.i think they know about that problem.
My rma device is fine now
My RMA was better, but still has issues on the too speaker for calls. I replaced due to speaker issues. I just roll with it as I don't usually listen to music without Bluetooth.
I was able to reduce it by 80% by changing all the equalizer values to -8.7 on viper4android .

With the slightest pressure I rubbed across the speaker grill with a wooden toothpick. But it seems to be a mere temporary fix because since initial fix the muffling has returned.
