Hi, i recently bought a TP-LINK TL WR720N router to use it as a repeater because the signal of the wi-fi is far from my dormroom and i have trouble with it. Well, i managed to set it to WDS and all went good, except that when i connect an android device (Samsung galaxy S3) the internet disappears in all network (it even causes troubles with the root router). I updated the router to the latest firmware available and in some way fixed the problem (i could only use whatsapp on my phone), but now it began to shut the internet down again when i connect the android device. I've searched in too many forums, but none have the solution to my problem. Please, i'm desperate u.u

Hello yall
So i got my new lg g2 on the 26 December, since then im experiencing every sort of problem with my home network connection, when ever i use my wifi on the phone it stays on for about 15-30mins and then router loses connection completely even the landline phone ring tune goes off and every other device that is using internet wether its wired or wireless ( ipad, laptop and ubuntu computer ) i came to the conclusion that it is my phone because i stayed yesterday with the wifi off on the phone but on in the other devices and no problem, internet was ok the whole day, and did the same test off on other gadgets and only my phone on and again router loses connection.
I have researched this issue and it seemed that the problem comes from the router people reported a new firmware on the D-link router was available and that solved the problem, but i have EE ADSL Bright Box router and it doesn't seem there is a new firmware to improve compatibility with LG G2.
I tried changing wifi channel, tried using intelligent wireless tried switching off firewall on router, tried changing lease time on DHCP duration, noise margin average is 5, no system log errors found, im frustrated tired and disappointed cuz now i questioning what was all the hype for this phone.
Please help me out its horrible to have to reconnect every single device in the house.
Bump up i really need help please anyone?
My router is Tp-Link Archer C20i working at dual bands 2.4 and 5 GHz. I bought it two days ago and the first day I brought it home, my Note 4 (SM-N910C) connected to it at both bands without any issues, providing me with a stable connection to the Internet. Yesterday, the problems started with the 5GHz band. My phone connects to the 5GHz network successfully, but it all ends there. I cannot access neither the setup page of the router, nor the Internet at all. The 2.4 GHz band works really well in comparison. I hadn't changed any settings, nor installed any apps.
Now my laptop, iMac 2008 and tablet Note 10.1 2014 edition work just awesomely well with the 5GHz band. I've browsed various sites and forums on the Internet and a similar problem seemed to have plagued both Galaxy S4 and Note 8, but the solution was to adjust the date and time. My phone doesn't have any issues with screwed up time and/or date.
I'm running the latest version of Lollipop 5.0.1, stock, no root. I've now tried to both downgrade back to KitKat and upgrade the phone to various firmware versions (and countries') to no avail. I've also upgraded my router's firmware to the latest version - it also didn't work.
Anyone stumbled across anything remotely similar? I appreciate any input.

I had this problem too, but I fixed it by turning off the wifi power saving mode and rebooting.
Did you try turning off the wifi power saving mode in *#0011# --> WiFi(top right) --> Toggle ON/OFF. Then reboot.
Hello All,
I've been using my S4 since the model was released and in general I'm very satisfied with it.
Earlier this year upgraded to Android 5.0.1 and all is good.
Now, the issue I'm having. Recently I got one of those cheap wi-fi repeaters
For some reason my phone stays connected to it for only few seconds then the wi-fi connection drops. I've tried connecting to the repeater with a laptop (HP Zbook 15) and all was good.
Also, I've noticed a lot of topics about S4 wi-fi issues with different wi-fi routers but till now I never had such.
So, my question is, has anybody used such repeater successfully with galaxy S4 (i.e. should I look for solution in my setup or its this model repeater's fault).
Thank you forward!
Hello Everyone.
I've got a problem with my WI-FI in my V20 that doesn't allow me to connect to 5GHz at all.
I'm in the UK with a virgin media super hub 2, I also tested it with a TP-Link C2 which is the one upstairs and nothing still. I know it's not my router as I have about 6 other devices which connects to 5GHz perfectly fine, so I know It's a problem with this device.
I have done everything I can think of to try and get it to work as well. I removed all security from the router. I tested it with another router. I used a WI-FI analyzer to see if the device picks anything up but unfortunately it doesn't find anything at all while my PC next to it can pick up 4 to 5. I also changed the channels of the WI-FI and still nothing except that it seen a few high frequencies which I couldn't connect to and the few that I did it doesn't connect to the internet at all. I've also reset the device, and updated the firmware. Still nothing has worked.
This is my 2nd V20 as my first one had the WI-FI problem as well and I hoped I just unlucky with that one and the replacement had exactly the same problem.
I brought it from ebay by the name of eglobalcentral-gb. They quickly got in contact and everything. Perfect communication. The 2nd device was also from this person as well.
The phone is also the H990DS duel sim version.
Thanks Ben
Hi everyone!
Recently, I bought my mother a Galaxy Tab A 8-inch device (Model Number SM-T350) and it theres an issue where the device seems to be connected to her Wifi network, but after a while, she is not able to browse the internet or use Viber. The Wifi Network shows connected. But after a specific time, when she needs to use Viber, she cannot connect to the internet even though the network is connected to her Wifi network.
Its not only Viber, but she cannot browse the internet using Firefox or the native browser.
The only way to resolve this is by turning ON/OFF the Wifi.
We tried a number of things like Setting the Sleep options to Never disconnect from Wifi, resetting the router, and so forth...
I tried updating the device but it seems like that this unit only goes up to Android 6.0..1. There is no security software that I know of installed on the device either. I checked the router settings as well and all devices going through that router are not Blacklisted. So all devices can pass or connect to the network. No MAC address filtering turned ON, it is OFF. But these settings are irrelevant to the issue in question, as the device Wifi shows status as Connected...
This is quite a "PITTY" situation as her Viber contacts cannot even call her either because of this issue.
To recap or to sum it up on the issue, is that after a while the internet does not seem to work on the device even though its connected to her Wifi network.
My mother does not have any other devices at her home.
I wonder if this is an Android bug or there is an issue with our router?
The router in question is a Cisco WRVS4400N if this helps.
Thanks
Bump. I have the same issue with my Tab A 6.

How old is there router
I have a similar problem with the Samsung Galaxy tablet a. My version is SM-T350. When I 1st got it a few years ago, everything worked great and I was able to connect to the Wi-Fi no problem. However, I believe that was after an update, the tab A will no longer connect to the Internet in less it is sitting right next to the router. Even this can be sketchy. It has to be within 2" to connect. I don't think it has anything to do with the router, but something with the internal Wi-Fi. I was thinking before when I wouldn't be able to connect it I had to select WEP instead of WPA
