I've ordered a Android mini PC (the CS968). I'm trying to decide the best option for a mini keyboard to get should I get a bluetooth keyboard, a 2.4ghz (like the measy RC11) or use an app like DroidMote (client on my phone and server on the Android mini pc).
What are the benefits of choosing a bluetooth device over a ghz device?
What is the best keyboard

Hi Guys,
i have been thinking galaxy tab as car pc as it has everything i need but only one thing is stopping me .
Is there a way we can turn on and off it from remote
like when it start getting current from adopter it start and when it stop getting electricity from adopter then shutdown . this one of my crazy idea
or something like that .
if any one share some knowledge would be great .
thank you,
MasterSquall
Not sure, but the turning pff part should be doable with Tasker (on the market, not free) while the turning on might be more difficult.

It's a new app that lets you bluetooth your PS3 controller to your Android phone, but only works on devices / software implementations that support the protocol.
Any ROMs that work with this? I'm running ACS Frozen 1.1, no luck.

General info:

Short story: This lets you use the PS3 controller as a controller for your emulator of choice (NES, SNES, N64, PS One, etc), for your non-gimpy Starfox 64 delight.
Wow, this would be an awesome toy.
Just tried it on EPICUREAN SCrAMbLED EGgs22 v4 and no go :'( "Error: Missing required protocol".
I wonder exactly what protocol is needed, and how hard it would be to port to different hardware platforms (like ours).
From their site <10char>:
Additionally, it is incompatible with most HTC devices and some newer Samsung devices. This is due to the required bluetooth protocol not being implemented on these devices. We are actively looking into a work around, but currently the only solution is to install a custom firmware, such as Cyanogenmod, that supports the required protocols.

It shouldn't be ROM-dependent per 'se, but I was curious if it was fixed in EG22. Apparently not.

Touchwiz (& Sense) uses a different bluetooth stack that won't work, you need to be on an AOSP ROM (CM7)

Thank god this is finally an option. Not being able to use my PS3 controller on SNES ROMs was really the only thing I missed from my Touch Pro 2...
I wonder if this works on the Nexus S???
/I also hope the dev plans to sell the app on the Amazon App store!!

From what I have read in their forums, it works fine. I'd link ya but I'm on mobile at the moment. Thread can be found under General / PS3 controller works on Nexus S 4G 2.3.5 rooted stock rom.

So does anyone know how hard it would be to implement the standard android stack into custom roms. Is it simply a matter of switching the files or are there a lot of communication issues to deal with when changing bluetooth stacks. As I recall there was a custom stack built for my old touch pro that hadn't been too difficult for someone of decent knowledge to make, so hopefully its a similar situation.

It would take significant hacking.
Bluetooth is built into standard android (AOSP) via BlueZ. Samsung with their TouchWiz uses a custom stack instead. TouchWiz pretty much infests every android file.
CM7, whenever it becomes stable, should fix it, being AOSP.

Just one more reason I can't wait for CM7 to be fully functional (heck, I would be happy with everything but 4G & WiFi)

Yeah.
Both the Sixaxxis and the Wiimote applications work.
I was playing Muffin Knight with the Wiimote this weekend.
My mate and i like to spend a lot of time on the ps3 (Call of Duty : Black Ops) amd we found that his phone (HTC Wildfire S) is able to natively wifi tether to the PS3 but even with Andyx's module i cant seem to connect still, what is it about the wifi libs in the HTC's firmware/kernel that is different to ours that allows it to connect and will there be any availability to find a solution to this now that the bootloader is unlocked? any help would be appreciated

RealVNC.
Works, No Issues. Dont know whether it will work over a USB Cable.
I'm curious as to what purpose you want to be able to do this? What are you wanting to do?
And why not just connect a keyboard and mouse via USB OTG or bluetooth? Saves having to install another app on your phone.

I use an adapter cable for my Nexus 7, so I can plug in various USB stuff (Nexus 7 hosts the stuff).
I am quite happy with that, using keyboards, mice, external USB-drives etc.
My Q's are:
I was wondering a bit about the limits to this support and I guess it comes down to driver support on Android's behalf. I guess the peripherals I mention work on generic drivers/standards etc and is therefore supported as-is by the OS?
And in continuation of that thread: Would it be possible to add support for, say, a USB 3G dongle, would that require a custom driver or what?
Just an idea
